50 Cent blames ‘Empire’ ratings drop on too much ‘Gay and celebrity Stuff’

TheWrap previously reported, that the TV show “Empire” attracted a massive 16 million viewers during its premiere last week. But the ratings dipped on Wednesday night to 13.7 million viewers. While those are still huge numbers, 50 Cent who has a long-running beef with “Empire” jumped at the chance to gloat.
He said he knows why “Empire’s” ratings dipped in its second episode of the season- too much “gay stuff.”
In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Fifty shared a page called @industryonblast_ that said the Fox show’s ratings fell because of too many celebrity cameos and “gay” plots.
“There are 3 million less viewers who tuned into last night’s Empire episode!!!! did you watch it?” the post said. “We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!!”
50 Cent chimed in with his own commentary by urging Cookie Lyon, “Empire” character to call him for help.
“EMPIRES TV RATINGS TOOK A HUGE HIT. Ok I’ll stop now. COOKIE CALL ME BABY. I’ll tell every body to watch the show for you. LOL,” he wrote.
The rapper, who in the past has accused the Fox series of copying the promotional campaign of his Starz drama “Power,” mocked the Fox series last week on Instagram after it took a dig at him in its Season 2 premiere.

The only thing is that 50cent's Power lacks the vibe. Most of his scenes were crap and dry(he might have wanted to differ by playing second fiddle to JSP in the series). I even felt like 'why was he in the cast sef?'


Expectation's high on Empire, i hope they live up to it, cos they built that expectation.

Lol calm down you think those few gay scenes on Empire are annoying? Then you haven't seen series like Sense8 and How To Get Away With Murder you'd smash you TV set watching them. The thing is that most American TV series/Movies now have gay characters even Arrow has a gay storyline its just that intimacy scenes are not much on Arrow and if am guessing right Prison Break will likely feature a gay character in its new season so you see that you can't really run away from this gay stuffs unless you stop watching American TV series/Movies. I don't even think shows like Arrow and Prison Break can make Empire loose its viewers. And about Empire not going beyond Season 3 I personally don't think it will go beyond that but let's wait and see.

true the empire story line is too, it could even had ended in Season one. No problemo.

Kelly's character is Lucious' mother, not Andre's - she's Andre's grandmother. And that scene obviously shows that Andre inherited his condition from his grandmother (through Lucious).
UPDATE: Y'all have forgotten that Lucious Lyon was born Dwight Walker, she even mentioned his birth name (Dwight) during the scene.

So good to see luscious back on the street doing his thing.... Now just what I've been saying, no matter how Luscious loves cookie(for those always talking about the way he looks at her lovingly,) one thing is sure, luscious never forgives easily especially people who double cross him or crush his ego.
