You have said all.
This country is bad in all ways.
Huge effort is needed to bring it back to sense and path of glory.
The youths will rule the country tired in the future, but the country must be firstly fixed.
What we are doing is trying the same thing, with the same people and the same song but expecting different result.

Some people are determined to maintain the status quo. One however, can't let those be a distraction.

If they like they can call Diezani the Lioness of Bayelsa, the point is that we all know this people's antecedents. We have the responsibility of throwing ourselves into the ring to retire these people.

you think the fools here who scream "sai buhari" at every opportunity know that?

if they are so stupid to praise Buhari for putting lai mohammed in a ministerial list, after waiting for 4 months to release it, most youths won't do shit..

Nigerian youths are weak tonye, trust me I am a youth, i know them, most don't even understand our politics, how it works, that why they are easily used.. for example look at the fools who call you a wailing wailer..

those of us who know their pasts should expose them, let those who believe Join, but lets not force anybody to join us,

My brother, we can only let out opinion but can't force any to make his/her decision. Those who believe in maintaining status quo should do so. I have no problem with Alhaji Lai being a minister of the government, but my position is that these men can only be retired when we get them to retire. We can only get them to retire by entering the ring of politics, defeat them or their candidate and cause people to reject them further through intelligent contribution.

Thats the hard part " Intelligent Contribution "

its where people like you and I need to sharpen Iron with Iron, you can't force an idiot to be reasonable.

Believe you me, there are party faithfuls that will be ready to support you IF they see a visionary leader in you. Aside that, there are people (non party faithfuls) that will willingly stake for you IF they see the messiah in you. The zeal and passion should come before the money. Afterall, some people have spent billions without winning elections.
And that was what we did for Buhari

That's why I do take time to educate fellow youths and take the pains to swallow insults. If Nigeria operates independent candidacy, I'd have been apolitical to stand on an independent platform. But we have no choice but pass through political parties

trust me, Nigeria is not ripe for that yet...how many of our young persons are actually informed..Nigeria is still divided, there are widespread ethnic sentiments..where is the unifying factor amongst the youths?
There can never be a unifying factor in a society where there was a deliberate and well orchestrated mercenary in place to divide the people along religious, regional and ethnic line.

But education can go a long way but certainly not with the level of hungry that has achieved an alarming dangerous dimension in our societies.
Nigeria needs serious restructuring from the bottom to the top.

Very true, I had a brief discussion with the youth leader for the defunct pdp earlier today and was trying to see a possibility of using his influence to create a new political front that will be promoted by the youths, while this party will be based on the socialist ideology.
The sole aim of this party is to have a political revolution which we will kick out the criminals that have held the destiny of this nation to ransom and will be carried out systematically to avoid spilling unnecessary blood.

The goat told me to go ahead and that he is not ready for that.

Apparently that is the idea of a lot our youths today, they are not ready to wakeup

TonyeBarcanista:
Buhari ministerial list contains names of yesteryears politicians, some of them woefully failed in their previous office. While some of us are not happy with the recycling, the question I beg to ask is "Are the youths prepared for leadership?".

The Attitude of Nigeria Youth:
I understand that the youths of Nigeria like their African counterpart are seriously challenged economically. I understand that we are faced with the thought of "when are we taking over?" But looking at the nigerian youth, you will see one that is ready to stake his life and intellect to butt-lick and defend failed politicians with hope that the 'politicians' enroll them into their payroll and/or make them unofficial PA. The youths are scattered on social media from twitter, facebook, Nairaland etc and even on the street with readiness to be eternal stooge for politicians. Is it not a Nigerian youth that carries placard in protest against prosecutors and to show support to politicians that have been indicted for crimes? Which other part of the world can one find such?

Our Youths Have No Zeal To Lead:
The youths keep saying 'give us a chance' but have they shown willingness and zeal to lead? How many of our youths are members of political parties? How many are thinking of picking party forms to vie for political offices? The minimum age to run for Local government chairman, Federal House of Representatives and State House of Assembly offices is 30, For Senate and Office of the Governor, the minimum age is 35. How many of our 30-40years old have shown the zeal and passion to run for these offices? How many have shown the zeal to run for their Local Government Chairmanship elections? How many youths within the 25 and 35 age bracket are passionate about representing their wards as councillors? How then can there be power shift when there is no zeal to lead? Does power come on a platter of gold?

May I remind the youths that Bola Tinubu first ran for Senate(and won) at the age of 40? Rabiu Kwankwaso was first elected Member/Deputy Speaker of House of Representative in 1992 at the age of 36. Ayo Fayose was 43years when he ran for Governor against an incumbent and PDP elite in 2003. At 37, Owelle Rochas Okorocha first ran for Governor of Imo state in 1999(he lost). At 41 he vied for the Presidency in 2003(he lost). He was however appointed Special Adviser to President Obasanjo. At 35 Musliu Obanikoro was the NRC Caretaker Chairman for Surulere Local Government. All these men started WITHOUT a godfather. They however showed the zeal to lead, today they are moving from one office to another.

Our Youths Must Wake Up:
Leadership comes with responsibilities. I am not a fan of 'gifting' people with political offices, but instead I believe in supporting young visionaries for political offices. For young people to lead, they have to join/support political parties of choice. They must intelligently contribute to party growth, show willingness and readiness to lead, and pick forms for elective offices. Don't be discouraged whether you win or lose the election because the zeal will prepare and position you for other positions (appointments) that usually comes AFTER every election. If appointment didn't come, the next for years will definitely provide another opportunity to vie for elective/appointive position. Who says a youth cannot be the a national officer of his party(apart from youth leader)?

Finally, leadership is not a gift, it must be earned. If the youths really want generational shift, they must show willingness to lead. As at now, the youths are just not prepared for leadership.

May God Bless Us All
Nice piece to ye. Absolutely on point!

Funny and ironic reading this post from someone who was an APC supporter, jumped ship to the PDP when he was convinced it was the 'winning party' and has since deleted his old profile when the job of deleting and editing his old anti-PDP posts became too onerous.

I have sympathy for you, bro. So desperate to become a 'youth leader' of a dying party. The train has left the station o, no money to share again.

Looking forward to your pro-APC posts in 2018 grin
