Am not surprised at all. If Former Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Uwais son can go and join ISIS and the father is still wining and dining with buhari and he has not be questioned and our government kept mute. it portrays problem for this country.

Stop lying to yourselves.

The problem is that you thought that you knew what Boko Haram is fighting for.

At inception, you people supported Boko Haram when Christians were only the targets.

Like the proverbial monkey and cup saga, Nigeria Muslims cannot retrieve the cup used to give water to the monkey. Remember that your leaders fought hard against proscribing BH as a terrorist group.

All these denials are a tad too late. They have turned around to attack Muslims too. Don't deny them just because you people have lost control of them. They are your brothers and sisters. The same ideology drives all of you.

Wow. How profoundly stupid. What has Jonathan winning got to do with a mention from ISIS about Nigeria? These are the words of an ignorant separatist. You don't care if ISIS attacks the north simply because it will teach some people a lesson for not letting Jonathan rule, this is the shameful way of doing things. Nigeria is still ours to protect and pray for.

I was born and bred in Lagos Nigeria. i am over 30 but swimming in poverty. i attended a university in Ogun state but i dropped out due to the loss of my mother who happened to be my sponsor back then. My father died before i was 4years old so i had no one to fall back on. I am the only child and life has been so cruel to me. I have no job at hand. My fathers family has taken possession of his property at Agege Lagos because they insist my mother had me for another man due to stories i'm hearing for the first time since my parent's demise. The story of my life is so wide, bitter and depressing. The moral of my epistle is that i need a casual job to survive. I am contemplating suicide at the moment and i almost drank sniper insecticide today. This is my last attempt at survival before i do the needful on my existence. Nairalanders please help me find any legal job be it unskilled labour. I have tried and tried but to no avail. Pardon me for been incoherent. I am a depressed soul waiting to see if my life can have a second chance.

Your story is indeed an unfortunate one. However, like quite a number of Nigerians, you're waiting for things to be done for you. You dropped out of school because you lost your mum. Have you heard that when something is important to you, you find a way, but when something isn't, excuses abound. Quite a number of people have washed clothes, done menial jobs just to pay for their education. They understood that they could transform their lives in the longrun. Even now, you're there wallowing in self pity instead of standing up and doing something. I watched the transformation story of a guy who is comfortable now. His surulere period wasn't wasted. He went from door to door asking people to give him clothes to wash even though he was a graduate. "God forbid!" is probably what you'll shout to the high heavens. Today, he is a huge employer of labor. I don't mean to be insensitive, but if you don't stop this pity party you will keep fantasizing about insecticides.

It's easy for my Muslim brothers to yell "Islam is the religion of Peace". Maybe it is, maybe it is not...

France, USA, UK, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Kenya, Somalia... Etc all have one thing in common, viz "A SIGNIFICANT MUSLIM POPULATION"

Except. For liberal Islamic states like UAE, Morocco,Bahrain etc. Wherever Muslims constitute a large population, that country never knows peace. Why is that? Or does peace now have a new meaning?

And it is not like Muslims love themselves... Since the Syrian war, the rich Arab nations of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, Oman, Qatar etc all closed their doors to their fellow brothers, yet it is the infidel nations of Europe that opened their doors.

Muslims need to do a lot of soul-searching and tell themselves some home truth. All is not well with the religion of Peace.

Nigeria shouldn't worry! We have a strong leader in power. However, it's really saddening what happened in France it's utter nonsense at what some of these cowards do. It's very angering because many people, innocent people lost loved ones. Just have to hold back tears because sometimes what happens in this world is very uncalled for. I wonder if those whom kill, if there is retribution, would these cowards feel the same way if it's a family member of theirs that is killed.

These terrorists have no brains and need to be dealt with. I only wish it were me that could give them the swift punishment. They take people's lives so easily as if it were nothing. Who do they think they are?

That response wasn't actually for you.. As for you, you are only a separatist. A small minded break aparter. A terrorist who is not yet regarded as one because nobody is allowing you to kill people to achieve your dreams like you did many years ago in d biafra war. The world as a whole aspires to become one, while you are trying to break apart a country that's merely the size of one state in America. We cannot go far if our efforts are towards achieving for ourselves alone. When biafra becomes a state, some of you will fight to make your fathers compound a country too. Conflict rages everywhere. And your children are just among the millions of children in the world. Rather than aspire for the betterment of your children alone. Aspire for the world and all the children suffering in wars they don't understand.

P.s. The whole biafra concept for a Christian country is not a Christian attitude at all. A Christian would die if his death would bring world peace. Not for personal betterment. You may also relocate to the Vatican.

You want to be my girlfriend, and you have a stinking body, then i refuse and i decide to 'seceed' from you, but yet you insist on sleeping with me, wouldn't the world think you are demented? That's the way you should see it from now onwards. Biafrans are not interested in the 'odour of the zoo'.

LordAdam:

I understand. I can't imagine the grief the family members of those who died during the Paris bombings and relatives of the over 30,000 that have been killed in Nigeria.

However, hate is not the answer. If we keep hating Islam, the moderate Muslims will not see the reason to fight against Islamic terrorism. And we both know no amount of bombing in Afghanistan, Pakistan, or Syria will end the war on terror.

The answer lies within Islam. Many Imams and moderate chiefs and Muslims have been killed by these extremists. The number may be very large because the media does not cover these killings and most people don't care.

So we must understand that moderate Muslims face a risk. By respecting their beliefs and religion, we can convince the moderate Muslims to purge out extremism from within.

I am unreligious. The muslim brother of one of the terrorists in the Paris attacks willfully handed himself over to the police to help with investigations. We remember Mutallab's father who contacted the authorities about possible radicalization of his son, months before the young man almost blew up a flight in transit.

I would be proud to have these kind of Muslims as neighbors. These kind of Muslims are the potential solutions to the problem of Islamic terrorism. Them more than a US soldier can convince their extremist religious fellows to stop the incessant killing, or at least hamper the radicalization of Muslim youths. They are also at risk.

We need more voices from within Islam to preach against Islamic terrorism. We can help by not hating on Islam. But by all means, if you have a constructive opinion on how they can help, you are welcome to share.

I don't see that happening, the few that have tried have met a sorry end...while we wait, people are dying. I hate the religion...no Apologies
