Truly, that is why NA needs to make judicious use of K9 to sniff those areas liberated from the terrorist because they mostly bury their weapons. It is difficult for ordinary human to discover those weapons hidden several feets underground unless they employ the help of specially trained dogs.

Troops hit Boko Haram fighters preparing meal, advance to Sambisa main camp [PHOTOS]

Gallant troops of the Nigerian Military are moving closer to the main camp of the Boko Haram sect in Sambisa Forest.

Although they are encountering resistance from insurgents manning a number of small posts, the soldiers are unrelenting, as they are taking out the fringes and other noticeable obstacles.

Hours later, our correspondent was informed that the troops carried out a similar raid on another guard post, killing insurgents, who took to their heels on sighting the battalion.

Images obtained by DAILY POST show an abode apparently occupied by the terrorists.

A transmitter, a cylinder, wires, kegs, arms and ammunitions, dane guns, knives, cutlasses, mattresses, pillows, among others could be seen.

Interestingly, the troops hit the camp as the terrorists were preparing a meal.

A fresh chicken going through roasting process and what looked like cooked rice on large trays are also visible in the images.

Troops, have in the past few weeks, mercilessly dealt with the Boko Haram terrorists as they strive spiritedly to meet the December deadline set by President Muhammadu Buhari on total defeat of the sect.

Boko Haram militants killed by Cameroonian army

YAOUNDE - Five bodies of suspected Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram militants were found Sunday morning after a violent exchange of fire with Cameroonian army, a military source said on Sunday.

The bodies, equipped with rocket launchers, were found in Afade, a town in Cameroon’s Far North Region neighboring Nigeria.

One army source told Xinhua over phone that this had come after around 10 militants on motobikes burned a school and attacked the home of a local leader with grenades Saturday night.

The attackers were defeated after a violent exchange of fire with Cameroonian army with several militants killed and some others wounded, the source said, adding there were no casualties from the side of the Cameroonian army.

The source said the Cameroonian army searched the field and found 5 bodies of the militants with 5 rocket launchers. The army wanted to find the hideout of the militants but without success, the source said.

The suspected Boko Haram on Saturday also attacked two large trucks near the town of Mora in Far North Region.

One of the trucks carrying cement was burned and the other was taken away with the driver and his assistant on board by the attackers.

“The troops in harbour at Kardewa village were attacked by the terrorists but the attack was successfully repelled and the troops recovered 25 motorcycles, 40 Boko Haram flags,10 grinding machines and an IED making factor. Additional Boko Haram enclaves at Anguwan Fulani Rugo, Anguwan Fulani Kaderwa, Dure Fadagwe Christian, Fdacwe Muni and Balazala were destroyed,” he noted.

“The terrorists had launched several rockets from Bulabulin Balgawe Ajiri in an attempt to break into Maiduguri but our troops moved forward with coordinated artillery fire support and the attack was successfully repelled.”

During the last week, according to him, troops combat insurgents at Ngumnari village, killed two militants and found 1 AK 47 rifle and seized 1 dane gun. Abubakar added that the troops arrested one Madu Abubakar who was suspected to be spying for the terrorists. The suspect hid in the midst of 30 women and tried to flee during interrogation but was killed.

The Major-General said that the soldiers also demolished Boko Haram food mopes along Kukawa- Gudumbali line.

Abubakar said troops arrested 17 suspected insurgents in Geidam and Katarko and all of them were being interrogated.

The International Criminal Court has listed eight crimes against humanity that have been committed by the Nigerian army and the Boko Haram group during the last six years of the group’s cruel insurgency in Nigeria.

However, while military officials say Boko Haram’s capacity to seize and hold entire towns is lessened, the sect is still carrying out suicide bombings and other targeted attacks throughout the region.

Not exactly true. Light skinned Toyota vehicles still make up 60% of our motorised Infantry.

The photos we've been posting have mainly been from NA SF or SOF units. None showing normal Infantry men, so we might be lead to believe things have "become virtually non-existent".

I'm not saying they aren't now reduced in N.A service, what I'm saying is, they still constitute up to 60% of N.A's mobility.

The final push has already started in sambisa days ago, getting videos or tape on such moment would be a rare privilege. And such practice is not in our military doctrine/practice.

I could once tell Nigerian soldiers by their uniform. Now, with over 9 - 15 different patterns, you'd never be sure who's a soldier or not.

Dude you make me......... grin grin grin!!!
Nigeria army currently uses. 2 - 3 camouflage, except for soldiers who still wears the old types of camouflage? Now those guys that just came from eastern Europe ; I mean the SF uses only two types of camouflage. It's serious capital to standardize a army of over 200,000!

The picture below shows the three basic camo variants the NA uses.
