Oerlikon, Skyshield radar , Starstreak, Thutlwa radar system , Umkhonto SAM ect ect ect are all part of GBADS , GBADS isn't a single unit, its a combination of many different Air defence systems. Some of the systems we already have, like the Oerlikon GDF 007, Starstreak, Thutlwa ect ect.

Thats why i said our GBADS isn't finished yet.
stop expanding it... we are not fools here.
YEAR 2015
your GBADS CONTAIN ONLY
-Starstreak missile =7km
-oerlikon GDF 007 =4km.

nothing else of consequences.

BREAKING NEWS OOOOO

FRANCE BEGS NIGERIA TO HELP THEM FIGHT TERRORISM

Following recent terrorists’ attacks in Paris which killed over 130 persons, the French Director of Military Intelligence, General Christopher Gormert,
today paid an official visit to the Nigerian Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), seeking knowledge on how Nigerian security agencies are currently confronting the Boko Haram terrorist group.

According to Gen. Gormert , “In the area of geo- spatial intelligence, we will seriously rely on you to help us develop that capacity. We are in the process of setting up that department. It’s my first time in Abuja and it’s a good reason to visit you on Boko Haram and see how we can share
intelligence; that is the reason for my visit.” He stated further that, “I believe in building up capacity we must leverage on our capable partners like you to help us from the level which we were, to a higher level . “Like you know this phenomenon of global terrorism is catching all nations napping. It’s
something we did not prepare for including developing countries like Nigeria. We have to evolve new ways of tackling them and stamp
them out of existence”. Meanwhile, Nigeria’s CDI, Air Vice Marshal Monday Riku Morgan had expressed “sympathy with the entire community of France, and particularly the people of Paris, for the mischievous attack carried out by the terrorists on their city.” “ As a nation, we understand the feelings that you are going through right now, because we have
the same nuisance in our hands,”
he said. He recalled the visit of President Buhari to France early this year, which he said ‘’ brought about the serious synergy that both security organizations have today, between the French government and Nigeria in terms of intelligence sharing”. “I want to assure you that your visit is highly plausible. I recall that during a visit to Senegal
with the Chief of Defence Staff, we spoke on very serious bilateral issues on the need to encourage our Francophone brother nations to give us the neccesary support to defeat Boko Haram.
“We think that henceforth, such daily intelligence sharing will keep happening and this will effectively change the situation in the north
east,” AVM Morgan said.

No Insurgency is easy to defeat, the U.S has been fighting insurgents since 1986, that's 29 years of constant war.

Fighting insurgency is not like fighting a proper war and only few militaries in the world have the right tactics to fight them.

Fighting insurgents in Nigeria is one of the most difficult in the world. We have made many mistakes and we equally learnt a lot from our mistakes.

Currently Nigeria military is one of the few militaries in the that have been able to curtail insurgency within it country. It requires a lot of intelligence gathering and tactics and it not a war you fight within few months.

The U.S military is not fighting insurgents on American soil. It is fighting in foreign lands. Nigeria is fighting at home in a land the size of two U.S states, and it is failing. You cannot compare the two.

The US had to travel thousands of miles across the globe to fight the Taliban. That in itself demonstrates the reach, influence and power of the US military. Nigeria couldn't negotiate a presence in Cameroon if it tried. Let alone actually sustaining a long fight there. Nigeria is being useless while it sits at home, where it has access to all the intelligence, financial and legislative support it could ever need.

Another Zulunatic fool. What does Nigeria need to enter Cameroon and what will Cameroon fight back with.

The US has the world's largest force projection. A single US ship carries more Fighter Jets than the all the combined militaries of west and South-Africa including ( South-Africa and Nigeria)

They also have the world's most extensive intelligence gathering capabilities, more Infrastructure than all countries in Africa.

Nigeria is no failing, we infact are dealing effectively with the insurgents we face, the facts point to it. Hence countries like France are keen on learning from Nigeria.

you do realise that with just only 2 carrier battle group the USA has more firepower, aircraft, naval vessels and enough infantrymen than the whole of Afghanistan armed forces combined.
.
yet 15 years later Taliban, AL Qaeda is still active. meanwhile with limited resources the mighty Nigerian military have reduced BH to mere pictures only propaganda group.

I realise your shortcomings. And because of those shortcomings, you need to compare apples with apples. Fighting insurgency at home is nothing like fighting insurgency abroad. The US is fighting insurgency abroad and the fact that they still have not won is no justification for Nigeria's failures at home. The question to be asked is whether Al Qaeda etc would still be active if they were based and operating in the US. You know the answer to that...it's a resounding no.

Your failures at home are unacceptable. BH has not been reduced to anything. Instead, they have grown into the deadliest terror group on the planet. This happened under your military's watch. Ample opportunity to wipe them off, you had. But fail, you did.

Exactly, they have the world's largest force projection, but they do not have legislative and tax influence in foreign lands. For example, you've had a state of emergency for how long now? The US cannot declare a state of emergency in Afghanistan, which would give them even more powers. Compare apples with apples. How would the insurgents fair against the US military at home? No need for you to answer that because we all know what the answer is. You are not dealing effectively with the insurgents if they are now the deadliest group on the planet. NIGERIA’S ARMY CHIEF SAYS STEADY PROGRESS BEING MADE
TO DEFEAT BOKO HARAM

XINHUA

24 November, 2015

ABUJA

Nigeria’s army chief Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai on Tuesday said troops
have made a steady progress to soon defeat Boko Haram.
“We are not there yet but we are gradually getting there. We are
making steady progress,”the Nigerian army chief said when he
visited troops of the 72 Special Force Battalion in Makurdi, capital
of the north central state of Benue.
He said the task of overrunning the deadly Boko Haram terror group
must be accomplished on record time. Troops have recently
claimed to have arrested key members of Boko Haram, as well as
destroyed some of their camps and a rocket-making factory in the
northeastern state of Borno.
Boko Haram has since 2009 waged a campaign of violence in the
West African country in an effort to establish an Islamic state.
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has given a December
deadline for the army to end the Boko Haram insurgency but recent
attacks by the group has given citizens cause to doubt the
possibility of ending the carnage.
Boko Haram, in its six-year violence, has killed some 13,000 people
and kidnapped hundreds, with surrounding countries such as Niger,
Chad and Cameroon affected.

Listen here, chap. You need to make up your mind and decide whether you want to argue that:

1. BH hasn't been defeated because insurgency is difficult to deal with; or that

2. BH has been largely defeated.

If you are arguing 2, then you don't need 1 and you have practically wasted everyone's time.

So, please decide what your position is. Stop drifting from position to position, thanks.
