Thevalue will be taken to foreign contractors, contactgn manufacturers of equipment and part suppliers. Local labour would probably only see 1/20 of the total money, who would then spend the money on foreign goods and gadgets

The passage below puts the answer to your question in better perspective.

Acts 7:46-50

46 who found favor before God and asked to find a dwelling for the God of Jacob. 47 But Solomon built Him a house.

48 “However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says:

49 ‘Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
What house will you build for Me? says the Lord,

Or what is the place of My rest?
50 Has My hand not made all these things?’

nice bro but why is truth always scarce. Walk with a true man of God for just 1 month nd he will deposit something in u, u will make use of 4 d rest of ur life. Whereas, u will be in some churches 4 yrs, nothing to write home abt. Christians need to have a rethink.

nigerians!!!!!! The universities are not funded by the ministry.
You complain that a man of God builds a new auditorium for religious activites. Blame the government for your youths unemployment. Blame the government for your homelessness. Any grown person that is sitting down and waiting for others to be feeding, clothing and sheltering him doesnt deserve to live. Do you expect him to come out and start sharing money to the congregation?

...all fingers are nt equal. I grew up in a neighbourhood with a Catholic church, & we all enjoyed their facilities- hospital, school, vocational training centre, sports & other recreational facilities. Yet, they dnt emphasize on 'tithing'.

...But, Whenever u see thez mega 'worship centres' giving out any form of support to the public, its usually streamlined to their card-carrying members. Besides, how are they paying back the society. Is it that they prefer people coming for deliverance & prayer sessions for problems they wld have solved?

If you dnt know, get it straight frm me - thez mega 'worship centres' are capable of reducing Nigeria's problem by more than 50%...

Is this another useless attempt to congest motorways and create traffic?

These fooools should not be given planning permission except they go and build their stuff:

1) in some isolated area
2) provide adequate parking facilities for the crowd size
3) multiple entry points for those attending

yeah they will do all this, they said they will generate thier own electricity. and mind you don't call them fools

All that land and money what have that to do with touching and improving the live of youths and people, if you ask me it better to build a football stadium than that crap. Stadium will promote sports and attract wealth from outside

Tell us how much the Abuja national stadium, the Velodrome beside it and the Akwa Ibom stadium have succeeded in "attracting wealth from outside".

At least people sell food, hankies, anointing oil and other consumers and make money for themselves every Sunday in Canaanland. Winners generates employment for millions of people globally.

People who know nothing of economics will always have something to say.

No way!! We have enough churches already, why do we keep wasting money on so called big churches and mosques.. And yet we remain more corrupt and wicked than those countries with few churches.

More importantly, even if he wouldn't use the money for something better, he should just make sure he builds this church where people don't live at all because I can't imagine the traffic jam such a church will create. Imagine driving to your home and you can't get there until 2 days later; that's saddening.

Oyedepo do well oo

Our problem(s) is how to absolve our numerous unemployed youths.

May God bless everyone that heeds this advice Amen
What a greedy fellow! do you know how many people CU employed,do you know how many people faith academy employed,do you know how many people landmark employed?
Do you even know how many people the church employed?
Ibb,Abdullsalam,Obj and the dullard called jonah were president of this country for a longtime, why don't you channel your frustration toward them, especially the last 16yrs?
Why don't you ask Orise.....to end your frustration,he is the founder of a church and can presido?

even d stadium they plan to build depends on d church members offerings. So if u take from people, u are also bound to give back to them. The church also depends on d members, so if d member also depend on d pastors, no problem.

Don't be a goat.. First you said instead of building churches he should build companies that will employ people and they dude reminded you you of the 2 universities.. Now you are asking how many people can afford the universities?

Does it mean he isn't paying those working there just because people can't afford it? If you think it is easy to fool people why don't you start your church? Are the blind followers complaining...

Quit hating and go and find something useful to do with your life or is it a crime if you feed people or build companies?

I don't want you to complain ,take a look at that again and meditate upon it,I just generalized what I just said, don't get it twisted..... Building churches and mosques is not where our problems are............rather engaging the unemployed to meaningful trade or skills... Idol minds are the devil's workshop
Whatever a man does not understand he criticizes. This is a church that has two universities employing thousands of people, all local churches have office staff working in them even the faith theatre when being built will employ thousands and after construction will still need people to manage the edifice. All this people will be Nigerians because living faith hardly employ expatriates. For your information that edifice was designed by convenant university students, how else do you want the church to give back to the society? But your criticism is good because it's making us stronger in the winners family. Keep criticizing why we keep progressing.

No, he's not the only one prospering. More than half the members of the winners' family worldwide live above the poverty line. And that is because they have a prophet who teaches and shows them what it takes to. And does he ever give back to the society? Well, He has 2 universities where the best lecturers are employed to give quality education to those who see the need for it. He has hundreds of secondary and primary schools scattered across the world doing the same. Every branch of his church caters for the needy, including the widows every other time. His church has several scholarship programs for students at different levels. There is provision for free transportation of members who cannot afford to take themselves to and from church on sundays. And i can go on and on, but then, you probably would still find a reason to criticize the man.

The thing about people like you is that you just talk based on heresy, without actually digging in to know the truth about people and issues.

St. Paul did his we heard nd believe.
St. Peter did his we heard nd believe
Jesus himself did his we heard nd believe

Y should we not hear of David oyedepos own nd believe? Is smtin wrong wt hearing nd believing. Did u dig into d history of Bible bf u r believing dem.

He also started the Atan - Agbara road not until he was halted by the government. Honestly, our people are sadist and that keeps Africa behind. It saddens me when a novice of no pedigree and no denomination stand tall with no iota of the fear of God to criticize these men.

All they want to hear is their setback, failure and agony instead of taking a clue from these men's intelligent messages.

I was at shiloh all tru the programme and I saw reasons while an average winner is living above the poverty line. He pondered on how relentless dedication and engaging one's divine visitation can speedily skyrocket one's life to success. His messages were powerful and his ideas were bold.

If I were so wealthy, I would have contributed so much towards making the project a complete success in 2016. This project will make history and promulgate Nigeria for good on infrastructure. ''People only see the negative side of everything and never the positive", he said. How true.

He is such a blessing to this Africa and this generation.

Why must they all come to that place to worship ; they should remain in their various districts na...and keep tapping the anointing from TVs in.their districts (which shows what's happening at the main church), this will save a lot of jam, accidents and stress.

God is not interested in how big a church is.. The one Ota is very okay in its size.. If he doesn't have what to use money for again ; he should use it to save his dear country that is deteriorating badly.

Revival is taking place in the church and so many are looming in the dark... my people perish for lack of wisdom.... For doubters and haters lemme tell u a secret to go and tell the devil.. Dr. David Oyedope is worth more than $150million... Chelsea is renovating her stadium adding 15,000 seats to 45,000 seats making it 60,000 seating capacity and will spend over $500million and the Bishop is building 100,000 capacity bigger than wembley stadium.... Christianity rules... Shame to the devil. We will prospers and I will make it. Our God is not a poor God. I love God. Nigeria is great, I am great and you are bless. Wooowwwww....
