Next diet exams will hold Feb 2016, go to their website to register, upload all ur credentials online and they will get back to u as to what stage u will start from and all ur fees to be paid

Hello HR Practitioners, for those seeking online PHR/SPHR certification from HRCI, please note the following information;

1. For online PHR tutorial from a US based PHR certified professional, please send a mail to phrcertify@gmail.com

2. Kindly note that there is no Prometric centre in Nigeria, only in Ghana called Linear Assessment Services. You can get more info from the Prometric website through HRCI. This is where you will write your computer-based exam.

3. PHR/SPHR tutorial is for 6 weeks and costs N50,000 (lasts till December, 2015).

4. Students are to ensure internet availability as tutorials are strictly online.

5. PHR/SPHR is totally passable when students have an understanding of the USA Labour Law. Students should endeavor to remain abreast of the USA labour law changes.

6. Study materials, flash cards and practice questions will be used during tutorials and useful materials shared as well.

after your certification and recognition as ACIPM, you apply yourself practically in the HR. overtime, your professional expertise in the general field or a specific area begins to show. you can upgrade to MCIPM or FCIPM etc., you can decide to take other courses available whether by CIPM or other Learning Organization's.

The bottom line is that once certified, you build yourself in the field by facing real challenges which you profer solutions to, and in so doing, you make your contributions to the existing knowledge in the field or better still, you become a body of knowledge that others consult.

CIPM is good for the basic Nigerian company but if your eyes are set on a top/company or any multinational,please take the PHR/SPHR and CIPD exams seriously. I have both CIPM and PHR and there's a vast difference in knowledge content that is practically useful.I am not bashing CIPM but as you grow in your career, broaden your outlook to internationally recognized certifications. My two cents.

Very true Amina. From my findings I went ahead to write and passd d HRBP and even doing Mcert HRM in Cornell. Sight are on multinationals and I think I have better confidence in d once Ive done. CIPM for me will be an advantage for having a local membership of a HR body

I've paid for the intermediate 2 feb 2016 diet. I paid 3,544.30 as registration fee (charges included) 7,088.60 as acceptance fee (charges included), and 49,772.20 (exemption, exam fee, study pack, and dues with charges)

Get yourself abreast with current happening in present HR. Get some info @ CIPM, update urself with current HRIS. If you are Graduate/Affiliate of CIPM, fine & if u are not, get exemption to start from P1 & 2 its just less than a year. With all these I bet you will get a desired job. HR jobs are always available in both Tuesday/Thursday Guardian. One of my colleagues will say that this is our time, I mean HR specialists. Get your CV updated. I can design a CV 4 u if ur CV is not properly designed. Sometimes CVs attract HR Recruiters.

Apply for redeployment officially to HR Mgr. There is no harm in doing that. You might be lucky applying @ the right time. It could just be the time their looking for an HR person or your application may be kept in view. State your current career status. Sometimes HR consider getting someone in House before sourcing from outside.

No, its not compulsory to attend a study centre for your CIPM examinations. If u have a related background knowledge and can study ur study packs, u can still make it. But if u decide to join a study centre, there are stipulated fees you'll have to pay for d classes depending on your level.
