Can't believe* I spent several hours yesterday finishing all the quests in White Orchard. Every. Single. Quest. I was hoping for a trophy for that achievement, sadly no trophy. cry.
*who am I kidding? It's a RPG game, of course I did.

Well, this one has several endings, three distinct endings involving Ciri, depending on the choices Geralt made in her presence & other additional endings/attachments. Plus, this will be the end of Geralt's story in the Witcher games (apart from the expansion of course). That's why I like this game, every choice you make counts in the long run, unlike Mass Effect with that depressing ass ending in ME3, I honestly dropped my controller and jejely removed the disc, when I heard about and then watched all three endings (yes, I like to spoil things for myself, especially since I don't get the games on release).

'Cause it's cheaper than a gaming rig and I already have PS+. Plus, Microsoft f**ked up with the nonsense stunt they pulled at Xbox One announcement (which they reversed, but I've got a long memory). Also, Nintendo has become way too family friendly. Oh and God of War & Uncharted franchises are added bonuses.

Microsoft and sony would always be rivals .
Which I think is a good thing.
What did Microsoft do to the Xbox that pissed u off?

Let's see...
They thought we'd take all their BS, well folks revolted hard, then Sony pwned them with this video:

They ended up doing a complete 180, after they told us they couldn't, then they later removed the compulsory Kinect requirement.

For someone with such a healthy interest in trophies, you should have obtained more than your solitary plat.

I'm not really big on trophies, but I'm really big on side quests. Eg Sleeping Dogs, I technically have 100% in Story mode with all the quests, but I don't have a platinum because I can't be assed to do all the necessary kills with specific weapons. When I find a weapon I like, I'll only use that weapon. I've only finished two games (all trophies), PoP:TFS & Contrast, the latter only has bronze trophies.

what about steam sales, generally cheaper software compared to consoles, amazing mods, great PCMR community, better visuals and experience, 4k gaming plus 60 fps at 1080p gaming, ability to play xbox games like rise of the tomb raider , ryse etc......., plus free online instead of ps+ subscription.overall you end up spending as much as a console in the long run from cheaper pc software and services compared to consoles ..XD...

What am I doing with 4K gaming and 60fps? When I'm still rocking my full HD tv... You don't really notice the difference between 60 fps from 50 fps...Rise of the Tomb Raider is a timed exclusive, just because Microsoft threw money at them doesn't make it an exclusive. Their excuse, they wanted something that could give them the next Uncharted. Ironic, since Uncharted came after Tomb Raider. Plus, LC had been a PS exclusive since she landed on PS1 (I know it actually debuted on Sega) until the Tomb Raider reboot. I don't use mods and how many times will I have to upgrade my PC to keep up with the graphical & processing demands. All those your savings would be lost after you've made your latest upgrades.

It is not by force for me to join your PC Master race. My console is guaranteed to last for a decade, with games specifically made to play on it. My current entry level gaming laptop will not give me that luxury.

Errm....if u buy a gtx 980 now, it should last u for up to 10 years o(minus 4k gaming sha). And saving to buy new hardware shouldn't be a problem as long as u can afford it. But i agree wit u tho. 4k is overkill. Same goes for those that would go the extra mile to have a SLI/Crossfire setup. 60fps at 1080p is just as good. Even most of the hardcore PC youtubers still game on 1080p. And most of dem dont even have SLI setups.

Anyways i'm not here to preach pc vs console o. Better to just stick to what u're more comfortable with...

Nobody is forcing you, just simply highlighting the benefits of pc gaming. 30 fps vs 60 fps please.. don't get me started. i have a 144hz asus freesync monitor and have seen the benefits of gaming above 60 fps.its night and day difference, by the way, consoles don't render at 50 fps, they can only handle 30 fps. Before you patched your witcher 3 , you must have noticed crazy frame deeps into the 20s,especially in misty areas and novigrad. i Purchased my ps3 back then on launch day.it was the last console i ever purchased. do you know why? Simple answer, the ps3 was a tour de force, absolute beast of a console. it was simply more powerful than even highend pc of that time at launch. Those console of that era were released with exotic hardware. uber powerful custom cpu, custom ram and very powerful gpus. That's the reason why xbox 360 can even play some current games like rise of tomb raider with decent graphics.Fast forward today, sony and MS$$$$ decided to gimp the hardware of both the ps4 and xbox one by releasing weak general purpose x86 based cpu, infact the consoles are simply low end pc released in a fancy box.they both use an 8 core jaguar cpu which is a very low end mobile cpu when compared to even laptops let alone desktop cpu beats..on the gpu side the xbox comes with an ancient hd 7790 which is a sub 100 dollar pc gpu while the ps3 comes with a hd 7850, which is still low end.Now analyzing the current situation critically, don't expect a 10 year life span like the ps3, these hardware are even too weak to basically scrape out a 5 year shelf life from it. the ps4 is struggling to keep 1080p at 30 fps despite the down graded visuals. just cause 3 and fallout 4 would let you know how weak these current machines are, you get serious dips into 25 fps and less. this is really really awful.

As for the frame rates , the difference between 30fps that console struggle to maintain and 60 fps is very very noticeable. play both machines side by side and you will notice it instantly. 60 fps 1080p is the sweet spot for lower end rigs. Higher end rigs like mine, i mostly push over 100 fps.To avoid screen tear , i had to hook it up to 3440* 1440 widescreen freesync monitor. This monitor has a refresh rate of 144hz which means it can handle 144 fps. Consoles are very important due to its simplicity and its initial uptake cost. But saying there is no diffrenece between it and pc is simply not true.. i don't have time for youtube videos ,they are simply huge compressed mess. play both machines side by side and the visual difference is huge.i game on a very capable rig and i have compared both , just place your resolution on pc at even 1440p plus ultra quality settings with all the fx like HBAO+ dof and shadows to ultra , and the console simply cant touch that level. XD...

You don't need A 4K rig to beat a console, just walk into your local hardware store, will recommend outlet pc, and buy cheap desktop parts like a skylake i3 6100 plus 8gb ram and a dirt cheap gtx 770 will own a console at 1080p 60 fps plus all the amazing nvidia exclusive graphics options that consoles simply don't have. This system would give you more longeivity than a console. The main reason i personally upgrade is because i mostly target 4k graphics or at least 1440p for now till i get my new psu so i can run my second gpu on crossfire at full throttle speed. It is not compulsory to keep upgrading . A gtx 770 is way more powerful than either console.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNN5SKcuzrk a ps4 can only play that game 900p. enjoy

And when Batman: Arkham Knight (PC) arrived, how bad was it again? The 30fps vs 60fps is not as noticeable as you think. If it was that noticeable, you'd see it immediately instead of having to do a side by side comparison. I really don't care for hyper realistic graphics, look at the Order 1886, the graphics on that game is brilliant, s**t the graphics of the headrest on the train is amazing, the pictures you pick up look like the real deal, the actual gameplay & story? Epic f**king fail. In fact PC Master Race keep touting out 4K graphics like it will magically make a mediocre game better. And I specifically didn't mention 30fps, I actually mentioned 50fps, and if I can find that YT video that ran blind tests with PS4, Xbox One & PC and how folks actually weren't really able to tell the difference...I would post it here.

Of course MS are releasing RoTR on the 360, they have to make their money back on the timed exclusive, or haven't you noticed the poor sales on the game, especially after they tried to say it was an Xbox exclusive. A highly silly move on Crystal Dynamics & Square Enix's part, you don't make the sequel of your game an exclusive after the previous title was available on all platforms, after they had finished a very lucrative deal with the other rival console developer. Can you imagine how much money MS dropped for CD & SE to not disclose the nature of the timed exclusive earlier on & touting out the silly Uncharted for Xbox line, a lot of money. A. Lot. That's the real reason why the 360 is playing that game, since a PS3 release is now conveniently missing. And BTW, games are still being released on both the PS3 & Xbox 360, so don't get it twisted, game developers try to get more bang for their buck, unless they publicly announce the end of last gen games production (eg Ubisoft stopped making those except for the Just Dance series).

In addition to my previous post you don't even need a 4k monitor to really game at 4k.Thanks to PCMR ever evolving innovation. you can use either vsr or dsr to render games at native 4k on a 1080p screen by rendering it natively at 4k and then using a technique called downsampling to fit it into a 1080p screen .end result you get image quality way way superior to 1080p. you can also down sample 1440p. Awesome right? it even gets better with a highend gpu like a gtx 980 or amd equivalent you can do 1080p VR gaming. ps4 was so weak that you need an external device that does part of the graphics rendering for their own vr solution which by the way that device is more expensive than the console.. for more info ,enhance your knowledge by reading project morpheus docs or whitepaper.

And whose fault is that? Still the devs, Unity was one hell of a buggy game on all platforms at launch, so buggy that Ubisoft gave out the first DLC for free and compensated the Season Pass holders with a free game. Funny, once graphic talk starts na so they go kill person with anti aliasing & popping, I'm surprised no one has tried to put in z-fighting into the mix...Batman AK was only an epic failure on PC, which is quite a brilliant achievement of itself, since we know games are usually made on PC. How could they f**k it up so badly, was the QA team asleep?! I'm honestly surprised folks over there still have a job. I repeat I don't care for 4K gaming and that potato masher for $350 good for the guy, remember he's built that to last the same lifetime as the PS4, let see how it fares next year or two years from now. And to be frank, there is no way I'd be able to get that in its pound equivalent. Nope. Unless someone can show me where I can get that here in the UK, then splendid.

Now, are you trying to put words in my mouth, have I actually attempted to judge PC gaming through a laptop? Or have you not been paying attention? I've talked about the real reason why RoTR is on 360, how I've not seen any real noticeable difference in 30fps vs 60fps or 50fps vs 60fps. I've mentioned the atrocious mockery that was BAK (PC). The closest I've come to juding PC gaming through a laptop is, how my entry level gaming laptop will not last as long as my PS4. I've even pointed out how I don't care for 4K gaming and how stunning graphics doesn't alleviate a mediocre game.

Developers have been able to show that they can run 60fps on consoles, some developers (especially exclusive ones like Naughty Dog & Santa Monica Studios) have even brought out the best out of console gaming by using the full potential of said consoles. And it's funny, how folks forget that the Wii U mostly pushes out 60fps 1080p games with ease, but since Nintendo has now become the ultimate family gaming console, they tend to get ignored.

There is a huge difference between 60 fps and 30 fps. more pixel frames are being rendered on the screen at once...

Just to be clear fps has nothing to do with the amount of pixels on screen. It is the rate at which pixels appear and/or change so when you are watching a game rendered at 30fps versus the same one rendered at 60fps the difference will not be the quality of the view but the quality of the animation or movement in other words the "smoothness" of the render.

That video was to debunk the notion you need a very expensive rig to own a console .As you have seen , it beat the shit out of the ps4. Now to address your other questions.IF you read my previous post you would notice i admitted that the dev of batman screwed up big time on pc. warner bros is not known to be a successful AAA game dev studio. look at crytek , dice ,ea , they make well optimized games on pc. Now you are surprised they screwed up on pc. the ps4 uses a low level gnm api that allows devs code straight to the metal. i even had an sdk kit for the ps3. pc uses dx 11 which has a lot of overhead and not that efficient despite that ,pc uses overwhelming power to bruteforce and still outperform consoles both in gameplay and visual performance. Now with the release of dx12 and upcoming release of vulcan api everything is changing. pc game devs now have the same efficient api as console devs which gives them unrestricted access to the hardware with no overhead. This will fully unlock the full power of the pc. check out ashes of the singularity , consoles simply cant handle that game. another great upcoming dx12 title is deus x man kind divided. .Now the new crysis replacement in terms of visuals , the king of graphics IS STAR CITIZENS.it's an upcoming pc exclusive title ,the amount of polygons per object is 10 times what is being used in console games. chris robert the dev openly admited that the game is pc exclusive because the level of immersion and visual experience is way way beyond what a console can handle. That is true pcmr. For assassins creed unity. yes it was buggy at launch. with the latest patch i brute-forced the game at 1440p at high graphics settings and it looks tons better than the ps4 version , heck the draw distance on pc is insane.

Well fortunately am not from uk.In the US all these hardware are affordable. i normally just walk tothe nearest outlet pc retail store and purchase all the hardware gear i need for my rig.In the uk , you might try ebay. you can get dirt cheap good deals for pc that will wreck your ps4 . XD...

. i am referring to the frames. most are just static assets that are refreshed a number of times to give us the feel of a movement on the screen . most average screens are locked at 60hz which can support 60 fps max, now you can't compare 30 and 60 fps , its absurd, with 60 fps the frames are rendered twice as quick which gives you a more fluid experience. Now do you even play competitive shooters. you can't challenge pc gamers because you will be owned, many competitive gamers use powerful rigs like mine(even more powerful than mine) with over 90 to 100 fps which means higher response rate less input lag plus better use of mouse against gimped console dpad joy sticks in fps games. Now you get my point , i was just typing fast and summarised it. didn't want to get into the details.XD...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNN5SKcuzrk . XD. That is total ownage for 350 bucks hehhee. Now are you judging pc gaming from playing on a 15 inch laptop game screen. Have you gamed at 4k . i mean sit up close and game with a 144hz freesync monitor. There is a huge difference between 60 fps and 30 fps. more pixel frames are being rendered on the screen at once...Arkham city was a broken at launch it was really buggy game which was the devs fault. assassins creed unity could only do 30 fps at sub 1080p on ps4. it infact ran at 900p on ps4. with just one of my cards which by the way is a sapphire nitro trix with backplate r9 390 not even my 390x , wrecked the game at 1440p at high to ultra mixed settings. gush at that level of detail my friends ps4 version looked like an outdated pixel toy. resolution is not all , there are advanced features like tesselation level and object detail and texture details. console normally render these at mid level settings, but i push everything ultra and the difference is night and day. consoles can only uses cheap rendering techniques like inferior fxaa based anti aliasing that muddies image quality of games while pc gives you txaa and superior msaa . cheap ambience occlusion techniques like ssao .you cant compare ssao with custom HBA0+ on pc , the difference is much .The list goes on and on. The end result is if you have a high res display and a decent rig you can top console graphics with ease and it s very very noticeable.I don't rely on youtube for reference because i actual test it out myself with my own rig sitting right infront of me..XD...

One thing you need to understand is what the appeal of the console is which is ease of use. No fumbling for the right parts or upgrades or any techy stuff. Just buy your console and get same experience every Tom and Harry have. Of course the PC excels over the console in almost every practical aspect but hey that is not what sells.

Excellent reply . You are totally right. both devices exist for a reason and serve different purposes.enjoy whatever platform that serves your need.

Yep I just saw a bunch of charts, PC gaming has over taken console gaming software sales and it projected to maintain that lead. Maybe until another console generation perhaps. I am pleasantly shocked though.

Exactly my point.i engage in these discussions at times to educate other potential gamer's out there who are yet undecided on which platform to get,so that they have a well balanced view of what pc gaming is all about and their associated benefits. pc gaming is a growing at an alarming rate..
