Women make the first move in healthy environments.

The difference is that the woman's move is very subtle, and often ambiguous (they don't want rejection cool )

In a healthy environment, men are good at reading those subtle signs, and when women have NOT given those signs, they respect the fact.

Men usually make the explicit move after women have made the subtle move.

However, in a dysfunctional environment it is a mess. Women play around, give fake signals or are on the defensive. Men show no respect of any of those signals, and invade her space regardless.

Just admit you lack the desired bravura and panache needed to woo a man. Most of you women don't have the voluble adroitness and are poor confabulators thus impossible to woo a guy.

Don't act as if you have what it even takes to coax and win a guy over through persistent conversation when you lots can't. undecided

Why are they scared of rejection when they ditch it out daily? It has nothing to do with rejection. They just don't have the cojones and confidence to make the first move. undecided

I mean that they don't like being rejected. But dishing it out from time to time is practically a necessity, although some women also enjoy that necessity.

I live in UK. Maybe it is different to Naija. But in some European cultures and circles women signal first, then men make the move.

Looooool true i dont have what it takes, i dont wish to have what nature has not freely bestowed on me.

I have never desired a man who waits to be wooed by a woman so am so not going against my natural abilities to please him.

It's not unnatural for women to make first moves. It's just an antiquated societal culture and an established practice that has been imbibed in women's psyche but has since been waived as courageous women now make first moves and no longer wait for a man they feel tick all their right boxes. Nothing to do with nature. undecided

Fear of rejection evinces lack of proper self esteem. So suffice to say any lady who can't muster the courage to make first move on a guy she likes has esteem and confidence issues?

Many answers to that one.

A man's rejection is usually final. A woman's rejection often isn't. So rejection is harder on women.

Insecurity is not really an "issue". It is just part of being human. Players are men who have learned how to exploit female insecurities.

According to some biological principle, women are more picky than men, anyway.

I think it works well, women giving a subtle sign and men making the first explicit move.

Smart women know how to make that first subtle sign. Smart men know how to read it.

Everyone else na jungle dweller. grin

So where did this societal culture fly out from?
Not buying this cos this is exactly the same line of arguement atheists (like you tongue) use to dispute the existence of God.

I believe how we function in the society has more to do with our biology. That societal construct view does not fly if we start going to the root causes of our behaviours.
