Left to right sitting: Captain Robert Adeyinka Adebayo, Captain Philip Effiong, Captain Umeh Ogere Imo, Major Samuel Adesoji Ademulegun, Major Wellington Bassey, General Forster, Major JTU Aguiyi Ironsi, Major Ralph Adetunji Shodeinde, Captain Zakaria Maimalari, Captain Conrad Nwawo, Captain David Akpode Ejoor. 4 Officers could not make it for the picture. They were Captain Kur Mohammed, Lt Fajuyi, Lt Banjo and Lt Okwechime The first Officer to be commissioned was Wellington Bassey with Army number (N1). Two months later, Ironsi (N2) and Ademulegun (N3) joined. I'm not sure what the numbers of the rest are but Nwawo was (N10), Philip Effiong (N15), Ejoor(N17) 1 Like

The great days of our military. About 60% of the military hierarchy were igbo and SS. Flashforward to the 21st century, and now about 70% of our military is now composed of hausas/fulanis. Now our military is a mismatch buffoonish force of incompetent morons. You don't need calculus to tell you what went wrong 13 Likes 1 Share |

sameer1212:Nzeogwu and Ojukwu were progressive turncoats and saboteurs who were double dealing with the Awoists, Arewa pigs and Labour party wizards of the UK. Also, you need to check your history, without the help of the Anglo coalition, and Ojukwu's sabotaging betrayal, the Biafran ragtag army will have slaughtered and enslaved the oduduwa race for a 1000 years |

sameer1212:Maybe you don't understand simple english. What i am saying is that, the Biafra experiment was a Socialist-progressive facade launched by the Awoists/ fulanis, and carried out by collaborators like Nzeogwu and Ojukwu. Later in the war, Ojukwu was displaced and the true igbos started making gains. The dilector is also a firestarter working for Tinubu and Buhari. If true igbos had really wanted to seccede from the nation, they would have gone with 5 million oduduwa slaves. |

Interesting, that was when promotion to a rank meant something. But, Gowon and Co. damaged and bastardized standing rules which Ogundipe's cowardly act ignited. The consequence of which is the likes of "Generals" Ransome Kuti and Diya everywhere. What a shame! 3 Likes 1 Share |

hinwazaka: Well said. When enlistment was based on intelligence and academic performance not Hausa-Fulani clan. A lot of Nigerians till this day, don't fully understand the goal of the coups...to propel Hausa-Fulani. When they plot a coup, they usher in their Hausa-Fulani comrades; this continued until they sustained absolute control of the military that even under democracy, it would be difficult to rid them out. Hausa-Fulani know they can't compete if intelligence and academic performance were the primary qualification for enlistment and promotion. Here is the kicker: If academic performance and Intelligence Quotient were the primary requirement for enlistment, how do you explain a group that is consistently, if not perpetually last in Neco, Waec, Jamb, Common Entrance, in every measure of academic sufficiency are ironically the highly represented group in the military? How do you explain this? Even if muscles and physical fitness were a secondary requirement, what race of people are more muscular and fit than Igbos and SS? 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Buhari is the commander in Chief of Fulani herdsmen, El rufia is a little devil/sadist who drives joy in making the poor cry. All these Top apc members secure juicy appointments for their kids in CBN and NNPC while the jobless Sai Buhari chanting Zombie youths wallow in poverty. As usual the Zombies are free to quote me. |
