Hello everyone! Please I wanna know what you guys think about conestoga college. Is it a good school to study PGD or is it just an average school? How acceptable is the school's certificate in the society? Please help me out here.

Hello Guys,
I have B.eng in mining Engr. A second class lower. I already gained admission for a PGC information technology solutions. I had my sop reviewed by a fellow NL and he advised strongly that I should look for a course really close to mining Engr. After hours of research I could locate something (but not that close)
They are the following.

Project management-Environmental @Seneca
Geographic information system (GIS)@ fanshawe
Energy management-built environment @seneca
Environmental engineering applications @conestoga

I want suggestions on what to do and which will be complementary. pls attach reasons too
Thanks
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by hayqinsbFX: 3:06pm On Apr 26, 2016
personally i feel GIS at fanshawe and EEA at conestoga are the two closest to mining engineering....

a good statement of purpose relating your choice to mining engineering should be able to sell.....

Calculate his points here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

For the first question, start with his current age to see the total marks he can get if he creates his express entry profile this year

Put your trust in God. It's never late and God's plan for you will surely come to pass......besides most schools allow up to two weeks after official resumption date. So keep the faith and never lose hope

Hello ayooluwatoni thanks for the advice. I have been practising my career as a fashion designer . Besides my kids are now big that I can leave them with my mum and go to futher.??

Good! Just package it passionately and show proof you truly have a career. Be very convincing, do your best and then back it up with prayers. I believe CIC dont have a general rule for all applicants, and each application is treated differently.

I wish you God's best

How old is he? Is he married?

With the above info, I can give you a fair idea of his score. This is assuming he gets the required marks in his ielts exams

He is 36 and married
These are his educational qualification.... BSC Chemical engineering(3rd class), Msc Chemical engineering (2nd class upper), PGD Education( First class)
He has about 14 years experience as a secondary school chemistry and physics teacher

After going through the NOC i can see that he is more suited for the class instructor occupation.....

He hasnt written IELTS (planning to write it soon)

Will he have to evaluate all his qualifications with WES?

I will also like to know how high his chances are in racking up a good number of points to be invited to apply...

Thanks

Lets assume he scores atleast 7 in all bands

First of all, your cousin should aim for a band 9 in all sections of the ielts exam, if not, he automatically loses an extra 50 points. To get a band 9, he should aim for 8 in listening, and 7 in Reading, Writing and Speaking. This will give him band 9 and 50 additional points.

Secondly, I am assuming that his wife has at least a Bsc degree and that she gets at least a band 7 in her own ielts exam. She will need to sit for the exam to boost your cousin's points.

Based on the above, your cousin will get a score of 437 if he gets a band 9 in ielts, but will get 387 if he gets a band 7. With a score above 400, he can be invited by Ontario to submit an application for provincial nomination. Hope this helps..

For more info, you can pm me or refer to the Express Entry thread on Nairaland. God speed!

Thanks buddy! Will do as you've said.

I have always heard good stories about first bank. Between Tomorrow and may 20 is still a long time. My friend got his in two weeks. When I tried at UBA, last week though. My payment was divided into two places. Officials stated that cbn won't allocate more than 10k USD. You may want to try another branch of the same bank. Perhaps another bank. I really don't have any help I can offer. Just suggestions. Just try again my friend... I met someone on this thread who had to and the second time was a testimony.

Or can PayPal serve as a credit card.

Hi nairalanders! I just got admission into a college in Ontario and my main problems are accommodation and age. I don't know how to go about the accommodation issue. The age scares me a lot because I have been told that there is a 90% chance of being declined for visa but generally, I don't know how to go further.
