I have applied at cic yesterday and later headed to the bank to enquire about payment tru form A.

Was told i can only do through a current acct. i already submitter my savings acct abt 3.7m to embassy. if i transfer to current which i just opened today, by the time cic confirms my acct, wont that be a probs! guys what do u you think i can do?

2ndly, i have read about one payment option through PEF or something. i cant realy recall what i read the last time one guy was askiing about it.

Guys, i need an head up yrgently. kinldy assist!

Which school was that then, was your admission letter a conditional or unconditional one? and did you pay for tuition fee deposit to secure your admission seat, before applying for trv? Thanks

I submitted my application as a single lady, I've only done my trad so not legally married. He is here on pgwp. We will wed here later in the year so I did not mention him in my application. I got my trv with a Pgd in a private career college ( not even public one sef, lol). It was my first time applying for Canadian trv.

If your wife studied Accounting, and now wanna come for the PGD, it's cool. But i think you're a red flag already, because of your Masters degree. And now you wanna go for a PGD....the progression doesn't seem right to me. It normally may not be an issue, but the season we are in right now is an abnormal one, and I dont think you need to complicate issues for yourself or your wife.
So i will advise you allow your wife apply, while you'll be her sponsor. You will not only serve as her sponsor but also a tie that she would return to Nigeria. Immediately she gets her trv, before leaving naija, you can also apply for a visiting visa to Canada....and since you have a job, i believe that wouldn't be difficult. When you get here, you may be able to submit your spousal work permit app from within canada or worse case do it in naija.
I will strongly recommend that both of you shouldn't apply. That will be a super red flag. And in fairness, your wife stands a better chance (if all she's got is just a Bsc and nothing more) than you do.

To the best of my knowledge, embassy has no right to confirm your acct balance from any bank. It is also very unprofessional for any bank to release you accounting information to 3rd party, except with a court order. What banks do is they confirm if a statement originated from them and if the statement has been doctored or if it's fake. And that's what they report to embassies. So you shouldn't have issues transferring your money to another account.

But if i may ask, why do you wanna pay tuition without knowing outcome of your app? I personally dont think it's a good idea.

It was an institute of pharmaceutical technology. After applying I got a conditional letter of acceptance, then I paid 25% of the tuition fee as deposit before I got the unconditional letter that I used for the visa application.

Hi nairalanders! I just got admission into a college in Ontario and my main problems are accommodation and age. I don't know how to go about the accommodation issue. The age scares me a lot because I have been told that there is a 90% chance of being declined for visa but generally, I don't know how to go further.

Are you suggesting that not paying for the tuition fee, even when the admission is conditional, won't reduce one's chances of getting trv. Juxtapose please!

The bank won't disclose ur balance to the embassy eve if cic call, all cic do is just to confirm if u print ur statement of acct so so date, and ur acct name and acct #.

Now i don't know where you stand. If you already submitted your application before paying tuition, how do you show proof that you paid to CIC?

If your admission is conditional upon paying tuition, and the deadline for tuition fee payment is not close, then i see no reason why you should pay before applying for study permit. It will only be a problem if you didn't pay your tuition by the time you're at the point of entry. But if the deadline was close, then you'd just have to pay.
For instance if the deadline was August and you submitted your application in may or June, I see no reason why you should pay. But if the deadline was may 1 and you're submitting your app on may 2nd, then you may want to show proof that you met that condition.

**Fact***
1. CIC discourages making any financial commitment without a positive visa app outcome

2. CIC says, an Applicant with a conditional admission letter must show proof that s/he has or will meet the the admission conditions.

So if your deadline was July, and you submitted a SoA which holds the tuition fees when you submitted your app in May, then you would have successfully shown proof of meeting your admission condition.

My opinion though.

Beware of destination addiction. The idea that happiness is in the next place, next job or even with the next partner. Until you give up the idea that happiness is somewhere else, it will never be where you are. I know what some of us are going through cus of this cic delay but we shouldn't allow them determine our future for us. That we applied for visa doesn't mean we should just sleep and eat all day waiting for cic to reply us. Let's find something doing. Apply for jobs or something. I was like dt abt a month ago. I was always staring at my phone. Checking mails every minute. I couldn't eat well or sleep well. I know Canada is a good country but then, are we going to kill ourselves? To be honest, if they don't give me this visa I won't reapply cus I can't go through this a second time. And immediately I realized this, I started another application to another country. Now I sleep well. Of course Canada is better than the other country I applied to but trust me anywhere is better than Nigeria presently. And not going to Canada first doesn't mean one cannot go to Canada in future. After nysc, I didn't even bother to write any cv cus I felt shebi I'm going to Canada ni. But really it shouldn't be like dt. It should be in such a way that the visa is going to be a bonus when it eventually comes through. There's nothing bad in having to choose from different options at d end of the day. The main thing I'm trying to say is that we should try to engage in productive things and not just sleep, eat, read nairaland lol, and wait for mails from cic. God didn't create us for just that. We shouldn't allow Canada give us hypertension

You're spot on bruv!

I appreciate that. Tnx guyz

But can anyone still put me through other option of remmiting the fee if not through form A.
What does guys at the bank told me wasnt encouraging as they claim some are yet to be approved by cbn since january! Quite alarming.

Well said. , mine used to be US embassy I used to believe that I shouldn't engage my self in anything since I was going to the US soon until the embassy burst my bubbles thrice.
I have now engage in a job that keeps me busy to even read naira land steady talk less of check up on my application. If CIC like let them give me visa, if they don't like they should hold it... I won't kill myself.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Nobody: 8:08am On Apr 27, 2016
Good morning house, my application documents are ready but I need information on the steps needed to submit it using the paper route. Confused about CVAC or VFSGLOBAL SERVICE stuffs.. Actually wanted to use the online route initially but decided to change to paper route due to the various complaints I have heard about the online process (delays). Most importantly, cos of the current bank charges on CAD$(GTB AND ACCESS CHARGE APPROXIMATELY 238 NAIRA PER CAD$).. Please help.

@hayqinsbFX and all the guys that have submitted their applications using the PAPER ROUTE.. I NEED YOUR INPUTS IN REGARDS TO THE STEPS.
