Op, I did the test over five months ago just before getting married so I can understand what you are feeling. I was so scared and couldn't sleep as well, especially as we were asked to come back the next day for the results. Anyways, it came out negative and I was so relieved.

Just brave up and go for your test and it will likely come out negative as well. The symptoms you are experiencing may be typhoid-related, but you'll never be certain until you do your test. If u did lab in the hospital u went to,they must do hiv at background n if u r positive they will tell u to go for hiv test else be strong the chances of negative is high.meanwhile positive is not death sentence u can still live normal life like wife,kids,grow old etc once you take ur medication.gudluck

I did the test in February after needle stick injury from hair salon (September)I must say it was really nerve racking . I received a great support from my GP (counselling) and my partner. I have to wait for 6 months to do the test. Luckily I tested negative for both HIV and hepatitis.

I have had that experience before. I know what you must be going through. And to be candid, you will be more tensed and surely want to go burst while awaiting the result. However, you might actually need to calm down and tell yourself that you are meant for greater things. You have not fulfilled your purpose, and nothing is going to stop you from becoming all you were destined to become.

No clinician can order HIV test without patients' consents... Ethically, not possible. It could lead to litigation

Malaria kills more and faster than HIV yet people take Malaria lightly but so afraid of HIV.. My dear, HIV is just a normal illness just like Malaria, typhoid and what have you.. Testing positive isn't the end of the world..


If it comes out positive just take it as a normal sickness and take your drugs regularly but I pray it comes out negative.

Out of curiosity I decided to go for HIV test today after seeing this post and guess what? Am highly negative..

chai. i remembered when i went for hiv test in 2011, after taking my blood, they called about 20 of us back and took our blood samples again. when i questioned them , they said that the first sample was not showing well, so they have to take another sample. one guy began to hala * i no know wetin una dey talk o , make una no do mistake carry another person result give me, if una try am eh, all of us go die here today*
others joined him to curse and swear, the guy went further to say that if they dare give him a positive result, he will take their names to okija shrine because he is very very sure of his negative status that the test was merely for formality. when the result came out after a few hours, an air of apprehension filled the room even the okija shrine guy looked like he wanted to poo on his trouser.if they called somebody's name, the person will quietly enter the consultation room, collect his result and while coming out, all eyes will be on his or her face to know whether the person is crying or laughing.then came the okija shrine guy turn..................wanna read more? check my signature

Op you made a grave mistake. You should have ran the test immediately you heard of your ex's status. Hiv is better dictated earlier . So one would commence with d drugs to boost their immune system. I pray you come out negative. But my dear when you do, never forget all the promises you made to God.
