Even though I understand your situation but please let her travel for vacation first even if it's via Arik to NY for 1 week and come back.
All the best.

Uw dear and May the rest of ur journey be smoother than this too

Momo13:
So in the spirit of giving back, DH, daughter and I attended our visa interview 2 days ago.. our visas were approved!
Here's the transcript:
Hubby& I: good day
V.O: your passports pls
Why are you going to the US
Me: to have our second baby
V.O: what do you do
Me: I'm a bla bla at bla..
VO to hubby: what do you do ( hubby answers)
To me: how much do you think this trip will cost ?
Me: told him and handed over hospital and doctors correspondence plus budget sheet.
VO: looks over the papers and kept clicking away on the computer for about 2 minutes..
Meanwhile my toddler was yelling the whole time!
V.O.: Your visas have been approved bla bla ( hands me the white paper)
Said thank you and waltzed out mumbling ' thank You Jesus'

Thanks to God and the wonderful people on this thread!
@ biollar1, ladyG, Chloe7, and everyone who responded to my myriad of questions! God bless you all angry
May all our journeys be fruitful and end in praise, Amen!

@ Lady G, how many vessels are of Nigerian origin? We might need to start building rafts to travel at this rate. Lol. God help us jare.

Hi Ify4charm,
I wouldn't worry too much. Newborns are known to breakout on their face/ scalp area. it will clear out in time. Read this article so it can put your mind at ease. http://www.babycentre.co.uk/a72/spotty-skin I personally wouldnt use johnson's products on your baby's skin now. try Aveeno products.

Johnson's products are actually nice but ensure you buy from the US, if you must use them. looks like what we get here is substandard. My toddler son still uses all their products and his skin is very nice.

I agree with you on babies breaking out. Sometimes, it's inevitable but they'll disappear on their own. Just give it time and ensure his room is well ventilated. Also, do not put him in a hot environment with thick clothes because contrary to what our mamas tell us, babies feel heat.

Hello everyone. Arrived the Atlanta yday via Airfrance/Delta at about 34wks and flight was good as I got very comfortable seats, thanks to the Aifrance staff that booked my ticket. My Poe experience did not last more than 2 minutes which I still find surprising but really thankful to God. My experience goes thus:

Me: good afternoon
Cpb: hello, passport pls and what are you here for?
Me: holiday and to have my baby
Cpb: smiles, i like it when people are truthful. Did you inform the embassy about the baby?
Me: yes I did
Cpb: good. Were you informed about the rules.
Me: yes I was, to ensure I pay all my bills and get my receipts.
Cpb: briefs me on the rules again and stresses not to accept any aid. How long do you intend to stay and how much do you have with you.
Me: 9weeks and I have about 6300.
Cpb: asks me to scan my finger prints, stamps my passport and wishes me the best with the baby.

The guy did not ask me for any document and did not even check my cash! I was surprised cos I was already prepared for secondary inspection sef, lol. I'm thankful to God and the people on this thread, you guys over prepared me for this trip and I'm glad to be a part of this. Mw, I checked my passport after picking my luggage and noticed the Cpb did not specify any date on the stamp so I met another officer on my way out and informed her and she grumbled about the guy not being attentive n filled in 6mnths.

I'm with my host now chilling and waiting for my first OBGYN appointment on Tuesday.ToGod be the glory.

Hello,

I am sorry babe, giving the information will not help. The Bank simply does not have FX, we were even told that they cannot bid from CBN for medicals, they can only use in-house funds, which as at yesterday was really scarce.

The Form A was done for us because hubby had informed the people approving since February that we were coming, they just could not say no. It was a big favour. Both hubby and I worked there before so you can imagine that I even took my hospital letter to the home of the Account Officer that processed the transaction, asked her to cook for me and waited to eat. I hope you understand my long story.....it was 'leg'

My Form A got processed at Stanbic IBTC at N199/$ within 72 hours. I submitted on Wed.25th and got debited on the 26th. I was pleasantly surprised. An in-house person told me the secret is to ensure that the money is less than $5000, so I asked that my bill should be broken into 2 invoices, 1 for $4,500 and the other one should contain the bal. I submitted only the $4,500. I couldn't believe it even when I received debit alert, until I got the swift evidence. Praise God with me oh!

Thank you. Staying with my in laws so accommodation is free. With regards to hospital, got one not very far from the house outside Atlanta (Eastside medical center in Snellville GA) as the distance from the house to Atlanta is about 45mins which will increase transportation cost and don't want to take chances with distance and traffic on the d-day.

Where you decide to stay will determine the hospital and that will in turn determine the obgyn.

I think showing up at POE without family when ur reason for getting the visa in the first place was family vacation especially as she is pregnant may raise red flags.sothis arik trip may not serve d purpose.

I don't blame them but its alsi not my fault na. Price of tickets are so high now especially one way tickets. So when they refund what I paid very early in the yr to me, I now start looking for money to add to buy expensive tickets now! Hmmmm ok

You can consider going to Ghana and then booking another ticketbto Naija. Tickets to Ghana are not so expensive. More stressful she.

Harris county birth certificate ( google it to get their address) I guess by now it should be ready. Go and pick up the BC, then book appointment with Houston Passport agency and go for the American passport for $165(hold exact amount) or pay with card. when you collect your passport, call Tanko, Eddy for Nigeria visa or Amb Stella for ETC.
I read recently that the available date for passport processing is a bit far so you may want to start calling now to book your appointment to avoid further delay in case you are in a haste to come back home.

All these Tanko-ites...

Naija mamas! Agent tinz still dey our blood oooo!
But i can't blame us... We grew up using agents for everything... Even to pump fuel at the filling station! cheesy

Are you people aware that one of these agents last year lost someone's baby's blue passport while on Nigerian visa issuance runs? Imagine the horror and the stress of obtaining another passport...

You really can do these things yourselves nah, you dont need agents. Its really so so easy and stress-free... All you need is your docs and payment as stipulated on the website, and a return envelope at the post office!

Ive never had to use agents for this and many other things, all i do is read up and apply what I've read. The link below is for the Nigerian Embassy in New York, where i have processed all my Visas, through expedited means without issues.

http://www.nigeriahouse.com/visaapplication.aspx

Wishing everyone a Happy Democracy Day... Democracy actually literally means "People Power". We the people have the power... wink cheesy

Greetings everyone. Am new here and I would want concrete and sincere advise. I was given a 2year us visa. I intend to give birth there, even though I didn't tell the VO because I was not asked. But then I want to leave the country in my 4th month, reason being that I heard pregnant women are turned back at the point of entry if their stomach are too obvious. This is my 4th pregnancy so my stomach is already quite big at the 3rd month. I want to know if I need to report to the embassy of my intention to give birth there, or just go ahead and stay there for 5months, birth and come bk. Will there be consequences? I intend birthing in Queens NY, can anyone give me a contact of affordable hospital in that area? And accommodation since I'll be spending some time there?

Madam the madam.

Have you been reading this thread? It's amazing that people keep asking this kind of questions here oh.

Please read and inform yourself, knowledge is power. People on this forum have had their visas cancelled for doing what you intend to do.

To further the deceit you even want to go there at 4 months and then wait 5 months to have the baby.

How do you intend to fund this long trip? Or you have no plans of paying for your healthcare? If you truly intend to pay sha how do you intend to do that? E be like you get money oh.

You also intend to wait 5 months to have your baby which means there's a chance that you'll even extend beyond the 6 months that you're likely to be stamped in for. I hail oh!

Finally are you leaving your 3 older kids behind for the 5 -6 months or you intend to also travel with them? You must really get money oh!

I hail you.

Na hail I dey hail you sha, make you no vex.
