Keep on the good work, by the time soldiers erect checkpoint every 500Metres for vehicles, houses ransacked weekly and mobile phone service is cut off, Nepa light cut off, they will realize the problem the so called avengers have brought to them and they will expose them, this is the same tactics used by military in Maiduguri.

In Maiduguri when the populace were strangled they started revolting against Boko Haram because of the hardship brought to them, the youth formed civilian JTF, till today Boko Haram cannot dwell in Maiduguri metropolis, same approach should be used they will start talking like bird when jungle mature.

nigerian soldiers re bunch of muderers and rapists - US senator.

now tell me any national security issue nigerian soldiers have solved, terrorism, hijacking, pirate, chibok, heardsmen, etc.

dia only achievement is to torture inoccent civilians, shoot armless protesters, and escort fulani killers after attack.

If I talk now , nairaland mods will bann me again for supporting our army doing the right thing and after banning u they give silly excuses as supporting violence,

I am in support with what ever the federal govt and army does to terrorists or those that hides them and supports them,
No country supports terrorists, USA will never support or negotiate with terrorists , so nigerian government should not negotiate, and if we are not entitled to our own opinion on nairaland, then nairaland is as good as our formal military regime ,
When the niger delta militants where destroying oil pipelines, so many nairalanders were happy and jubilating, which simply mean they where supporting the niger delta avengers voilence,
I don't know where nairaland mod stands, is it with their government or the terrorists?

Take note, eyes are on nairaland website , everybody's reading, the whole nation is reading comments on nairaland
Remember, when u hide a thief, u are also a thief,
When u hide a murderer , u are also a murderer , I wonder why the niger delta people won't come out and condemn their act of violence that's affecting the whole nation

The avengers brought this upon their people. This is now like an emergency rule in the areas affected. You don't provide the platform for the army to have reasons to come to your locality. They don't come for fun. They will not rest until everywhere is as quiet as a grave yard

How do u know the Avengers and their people?

These talkative NDA and their conspirators are cowards. The NA have desecrated Tompolo's Shrine, took over his palatial mansion, allegedly killed some of his so called avengers in an encounter, yet, they can't fire a single shot at the army despite their boastful power.

Killings in the Niger Delta all to preserve the situation where northerners own more than 85% oil wells in the Niger delta;

to preserve the situation where northern Nigeria uses the 19 northern states and Abuja with north's hundreds of local govt areas to suck up most of the oil revenues from the Niger delta.

Northern Nigeria dictators created 20 new federating units from one northern unit, but created only 17 new federating units in two southern units; thus 1 gave rise to 20; while 2 gave rise to 17. Northern, southwest and southeast regions got independence from Britain as Nigeria.

To sustain this FRAUDULENT political structure and oil wells in the hands of non Niger deltans are what Buhari govt is killing Niger deltans for.

Who are the people who have been rich from illegal activities in oil such as bunkering, militancy? If you think the Federal Govt has no way of extracting or getting relevant information, you must wake up.

LordAdam:

Exactly!

The Niger Delta people are firm and have immeasurable resolve.

We have spent the last 55 years living under the shadow and being constantly harassed. This is nothing new.

We endured these intimidation in 1998/1999 during the Ijaw unrest when 10,00 to 15,000 soldiers occupied Bayelsa and Delta States and hundreds were killed in Operation Climate Change championed by the Ijaw Youth Council and in the 5 years (2004 to 2009) when militancy was in full swing. We can endure it till Jesus comes as long as the economy bleeds as well.

It should be said that even with these intimidations and extra-judicial killings, we actualized our vision.

Even after the Odi massacre in Bayelsa in 1999, the people did not lose faith. In the end we got Niger Delta Development Commission and implementation of the 13% derivation (agreed in 1995) the following year in 2000, and we got the Niger Delta ministry in 2008.

Niger Deltans lost their lives to get and actualize the 13% derivation. Today, the ungrateful mofos from the West are enjoying the dividends now that Ondo and Lagos produce oil. Even the North East would benefit from our sacrifice if the Chad basin exploration becomes successful.

Now these same useless idiots are calling for innocents to be killed ruthlessly like what happened to Odi.

Let Buhari do it.

We would get our republic faster.

Those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it.

Niger Delta gained more than Nigeria after the Odi massacre. A Gbaramatu massacre would not be different.

Check the calendar people, it is not 1999, it is 2016.

-Lord

God bless you

You think going to disturb unarmed civilians on land is execising power?? You should tell your president that he can not redeem his already damaged image by violence ,you should realise now that if these agitating forces come together to face the military head on,it would be so bad for them.. And what's more your tribalistic mind has failed to understand that while they are busy disturbing themselves with these the BH would silently go back, regroup and come back with full force... Kudos to Nigerians Soldiers for this latest actions. Gbaramatu community has not been patriotic with seeking the hide out of Tompolo. Govt at all levels in that region should intensify efforts in clamping down Tompolo because if truly he's honest why should he go on self exile in his fatherland? Soldiers should be more professional in searching by using a scientific and sophisticated DSS officers in search of Tompolo and make sure live and properties of innocent Nigerians are save and protected.
We can’t afford to fold our hands for set of egotism and evils few citizens to plunder our economy to zero. Tompolo is chief executive officer of NDA.

I doubt if they have stolen anything from you to make them criminals.... remember, people are sponsoring them...meaning they are tired of something... the duty of a government is to fine out what it is and see how to handle it...instead of trying to silence them....
