The deteriorating employment condition in the country has forced citizens to deploy any means possible to secure jobs even though it means carrying placards in public or reaching out online. A First Class Graduate from the University of Benin (UNIBEN) -has reached out on twitter after being unable to get a job. According to his CV which he shared online, he graduated with a First Class degree in Mathematics in 2014 and since then he has been unemployed.

he should apply to all d bank, financial institution and other stats body, he should get a job if he has God's backing. He can apply for lecturing in his sch, for Msc scholarship abroad etc.

How can he graduate November 2015 and by May 2016 he's already through with NYSC. It automatically means he started serving before graduating.....

that is his original certificate not statement of result that was issued to him November 2015. he finished 2014, went for service 2015 and passed out 2016 batch A

I look at some post here and really the situation of the country coupled with the wickedness of our leaders have messed up the minds of some people. At times one can be forced to say that Nigerians deserve the kind of leaders they get.

1. It is not a good thing for a first class to be looking for job..the fact.

2. It is not wrong to want to land a job after NYSC because you struggle to get a job after NYSC doesn't mean its wrong for others to aspire for a job immediately after service after all our parents back in time always got jobs as soon as they where graduating from school with there ssce results, bsc certificates etc.

3. Not every one will be an entrepreneur, some people are better off working for others, some people will need to work for a while gather necessary funds and experience before going out to start there own business, some people are from poor homes and will have to work to raise money for business, the Nigerian system doesn't make loans easily accessible.

4. A country that wants to grow will invest on its intellectually resources and properties like our first class students..Yes, every country that wants to develop knows that this first class students can be put to good use in terms of research, development and problem solving after all our government that spend money on unnecessary things can pay first class grads to solve our economic problems, to invent and to innovate. That's why when these first class grads go to reasonable countries they seize them like they are about to seize a very good friend of mine. BRAIN DRAIN is real ooh.

5. Don't judge anyone or call anyone lazy cause you have no idea about his journey in life. it is working well for you doesn't mean it is working well or should work well for others.

6. Finally, it is my prayer for most youth in Nigeria to be gainfully employed and for those who want to go the entrepreneur way I also pray God bless your hardwork.

Tell ur guy to use his brain and devise a means to earn money instead of disgracing himself...its obvious he lacks a thinking faculty hence he cant even get a lecturing job from his school...same way the other firstclass guy from ekiti with the highest cgp was soliciting for rent and money.

Youths with lil or no education are learning trade...raising small funds and starting up small business...i was impressed when I saw someone here starting cucumber farming...so many people selling recharge cards...he can start organising lessons ...opening car wash shops and some supposed 1st class begging for work.

Who 1st class epp/?

They will never learn. A student that graduates with 5.0 GP, without a skill and cannot think out of the box does not deserve to be employed.

Someone close to him should tell him that AUST Abuja will give him scholarship to do his postgraduate if he can pool ass their exam though..... a professor of mathematics there will turn his life around for good. Quote me for further details.

The earlier we adjust to the fact that white collar jobs are scarce and not available, the better.

The era of entrepreneurship has come to stay if anyone is going to survive, we must learn to be able to start little businesses right in our backyard and environment. There is nothing wrong with a graduate having a plot of pepper or tomato farm to generate income.

Our parents had farms that give them extra income during their days, how many of young people can you find in those villages as of now?
We are complaining of lack of opportunities with army of unemployed graduates and yet all the opportunities lies right in those villages and farms we have abandoned.

No wonder we are importing tomatoes from Cameroon &Ghana and yet we are complaining of lack of jobs in the midst of opportunities. The guy should move back to Benin and start farming.

Dude got this ranting too early, take a chill pill.

We graduated same year (2014) from the same UNIBEN, although mine was from Mass Communication dept.

Lemme get some facts straight:
*2014, Nov., was our graduation year.
*We were mobilized for NYSC in May, 2015.
*UNIBEN awarded us our certificates Nov., 2015 after convocation, though statement of result was ready in February, 2015.
*Our batch, A15, passed out April 14th, 2016 but adding 3weeks of terminal leave, brings it officially May, 2016.

The person is roughly 2 months out of NYSC, so I think it's way too early to start the lamentation. There are thousands who passed out like him in same batch and are yet to hit it in terms of job.

Make him relax, plan out him life, all will be well, just give it time.

That was when the certificate was awarded.. .from what was written he finished in the 2013/2014 academic session
