How the likes of Prof Wole Soyinka, despite having read the 2014 Confab recommendations, still voted for the APC was the 10th wonder of the World.

Whether or not they like it, Nigeria must be restructured to reflect true federalism or risk another civil war in the coming years. The tension is high; the animosity amongst the different ethnic groups is feverish.
[/s]

Were you there when he voted for APC? When is it even a crime to vote a candidate of your choice. The Prof have always been saying this for long but bigots like you will always find a way to insult him and his people. This same man was jailed cos of b.iafra yet you spewing trash. Mschew

What the Professor is saying is the need to restructure Nigeria. Restructuring does not mean break up or disintegration. The emphasis is on DISCENTRALISATION.

Restructuring is about development, about healthy competition among states or zones, about accountability from the leaders, about looking inwards to solve problems instead of waiting for hand outs from Abuja. It is about discipline and about carrying every one along.

We cannot continue to do things the same way and expect different result. Those calling for restructuring do not hate Buhari at all. They are only concerned about the progress of Nigeria.

That's why you should never pity them as they suffer seriously under Buhari.

Even God will never respond to their prayers.

God bless the better south. cool

Never knew Ibos are enjoying and the erosion ravaged land is Dubai. You truly have no shame, you and your akpu people have been the one crying since last year but shame wont let you say the truth. Bunch of loudmouthed hypocrites.

I stopped taking Soyinka seriously for a while...the Prof seemed to go along with a particular school of thought that portrays him as a 'fearless nice Nigerian' but that aside, he has spoken well this time. Our sovereignty is negotiable why? We own it, not otherwise.

You are lazy so let me school you since you won't read, run a simple research you will discover that your Prof. Soyinka was equally jailed for two (2) years in Calabar for treason.

Prison is built for humans what's the big deal, the brave with strong ideologies fear no tyrant.

Both Prof. And Kanu are fighters with different strategies geared towards same result.

Ioannes:

well Good morning to you too. Hope you had a great night rest.

juxtapose Nnamdi Kanu's words with that of the Prof and you will see the big difference there.

while one is busy cursing other tribes and calling for ethnic cleansing, the other has just laid out sensible arguments why there can be a referendum or at least true fiscal federalism.

one was busy calling out the federal government, insulting the person of the president (because he isn't from his tribe), and calling Nigeria a zoo (because somebody lost an election), thereby insulting everybody living in the country, while the other in his speech has been calm and respectful of constituted authority and even to past leaders when he has had to disagree with them.

some will call the former brave and a warrior (he is behind bars now), and the same people will call the latter a coward because he is Yoruba and he understands the art of negotiation and diplomacy (he is well respected in the world and a free man today).

Chronic tribalism, nothing more.. They thought that Buhari will change Nigeria to eldorado, but it's downing on them that they are in for a long ride.. Me no sidon look I de..

No, you are wrong.

Buhari is doing exactly what they expected; however, they wrongly expected the Igbo nation to quietly accept the economic/political rape against them just like it was few years back but they didn't envisioned the boldness of IPOB in creating such a massive awareness for self-determination for Biafra and the subsequent yearning for a referendum in SE & parts of SS Nigeria.

Secondly, the global turn of events in favour of self-determination is seriously making them uncomfortable such that they are seriously scared of the possibility of an Independent Biafra Nation free to run its affairs without sily interferences from people that think too small.

‘I am a second-class citizen; I cannot sit down and discuss the articles, the protocols of staying together’ and you’re trying to bully me, I won’t accept.”

@ Seun,

The above statement from the much respected Nobel Lauret is enough reason for you to consider your stand on Biafra here.

In Nigeria the Hausa/Fulani are first class citizens while others are to be used.

let me not even talk about how the Igbos have been treated in this country, where there is an unwritten law that a tribe as big as the Igbo will never rule Nigeria again and you expect us to take it like that?

God bless Wole Soyinka and may God forgive me for any insults I hurled at the great man in the past.
