if no b say NA like unnecessary diversification of platforms...all we need is 2types of wheeled IFV and 2types of tracked IFV

when I look at the abundance of diverse materiel we have I shake me head and smite my chest

some of the machines we have on wheels should already b phased our by now..In fact given to Proforce to produce a better replica

like the pizgauer below..it can easily be redesigned an configured as a scout/SF vehicle

Necessity they do say his the mother of invention.... my Broda u talk well.

There his these scout/recce armored car henry has always agitated for, and it's an affordable and high performance vehicle by Proforce. too much of wheeled and tracked armored vehicle in out inventory and it's killing us.

@henry once said all camouflage used by Nigeria armed forces are being produced locally.

And it's only naval and airforce personnel in the northeast/niger delta frontlines that are wearing the woodland camo.

It's an easy modification. Instead of buying the Honker, our Pfroforce PF2 Leopard could have been easily modified to suit the needs of the Air Force.

I'm sure you've also seen the Reva FAV posted on the other thread or Israeli Saymar Musketer. These are things we can do, i don't understand why we buy abroad.

I mean, nobody can tell me that the Honker or any other vehicle of it's class is better than the new Proforce PF2. It's just not possible.

I can assure you that, the decision taken to harmonise Camo of all the branches of our military is the best descision taken in the last decade.

The best part is, they are all made in Nigeria. You can see that our Cammo(uniform) and those on some N.A vehicles blend seamlessly.

"Inpossicant" ........... grin
Why would anyone compare the PF2 with the honker......that's an unfair comparison.

Yes, all produced in Nigeria by 3 factories. Navy SBS would still maintain their colours, especially the blue, every other person goes woodland or desert.

MORE MISSING IN ACTION SOLDIERS FOUND

Please recall that some of our troops were missing in action after an ambush at Guro Gongon on 20th July 2016.

Consequently, concerted efforts were initiated to search for and rescue them. The measures include the use of air assets, Special Forces and patrols.

We wish to inform you that the search party has this morning found 5 more officers and soldiers that were declared missing in action, including the unit's Commanding Officer.

Although they are in a stable condition, have been moved to our Medical facilities for medical care.

Thank you.

Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman
Acting Director Army Public Relations

harmonizing the camo design...I agree

I wish they could use the sane design to make camo that blends with each arms of the military

woodland doesn't work with the Navy at all...for operations on land-yes
sea ops-No

I wonder what it takes DICON to integrate the special vehicle plant
the government commercialize it so it can sell to countries outside Africa

for the Igirigi..variants should b made
• command vehicle
• IFV(incorporating a Chinese remote controlled 30mm autocannon)
• Missile carrier (which will include the HJ-9 ATGM *we buy enough to encourage license production* and we integrate on the igirigi)

we produce it in 4×4 ,6×6 carriers

for the Steyr tracked APC we license produce

we can do the same... add cannons to it and av a mortar firing variant

I tell u ..Anglo west African countries would buy!

The Navy would maintain their colours, except if they are operating far in-land.

Mate you just designed and built an APC with auto cannon and missile carrier for DICON....... grin

But jokes apart by getting licensing/importing and integrating parts together, one we will design ours with all part designed in nigeria. After all role was not built in a day.

exactly...license production
we would include locally sourced materials to make what we license produce
in fact in missile tech...it will aid our rocket technology... The NAF is in quest of putting guidance on rockets from Epe,Lagos as the CAS said the 5km goal is now reached..they will work to put guidance in it so as to arm the Mi-35

it then leaves me to ask...isn't an Aerospace industry ripe for establishment!?

*imaginary Nigerian Aerospace Complex/Industries Ltd

services;
• UAV & GroundControl station production
• Aircraft maintenance
• Spare parts fabrication & integration
• Systems integration
-Subdepartment of the NAC/I
• Air weapons complex
- which can license produce some missile the Chinese r willing to release
- production of all air munitions we use

I know the naf has overhaul capabilities of our Do-128 ...they can easily be a hub for maintenance in west Africa then they can move to other aircrafts e.g transports

Nigerian Armed forces had better start thinking like business men
