History was made in Nigeria on January 21st, 2016. The first vegetables from Anambra State was exported to Europe on abx world agro-allied program. Thanks for the massive cooperation and support by the Governor, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano

Obiano should let sleeping dogs lie. He goofed in the 5million Dollars claim but encouraging large scale farming of Ugu and exporting them or even selling them locally is an achievement in itself for the farmers and the Governor that encouraged them. Some States in the North actually make turn overs of tens of millions of Dollars from agricultural produce.

Go and try the women at Eke Awka, they will beat you silly in vegetable and foodstuffs biz. God and ask the women at Eke Awka how they succeed in their biz before you ask Gov Obiano to show you how he exports vegetables to Europe...

If market women at Ogbete, Enugu could way bill palm oil to their biz partners in Jos, Bauchi, Mubi and other towns in the North...so Gov Obiano cannot export his own market wares to Europe?

Correct this fallacy
It is Umuochu not Umuchu. The writer made a mistake because Umuochu is a relatively small community in Orumba north. I have stayed in the community before.

I appeal to everyone to leave this matter and let's move on, efforts should continue to be made to diversify our economy through more exports of agricultural products.

if facts have been misrepresented, let's admit that errors were made and learn from them for the future, all this bickering are unnecessary please.

Answer my question first.who are the consumers of $5mln Ugu and Onugbo in Europe?
Do you know many tons and ship loads of Ugu and Onugbu that will give you $5mln ?
Can you upload pictures of where the $5mln ugu is been marketed in Europe.

See leave this yarns..

Obiano could have shut Sahara up once and for all by providing Photos of the farms, Bill of Laden, Export Duty/Exemption reciepts, Quarantine clearance, Freighting/shipping/Cargo reciepts, e.t.c..

Waybilling Palm Oil to Ugwu Hausa and Shipping Palm Oil to Europe and Amirika is not the same.

Even the way I saw those Vegetables packed, I doubt it would cross quarantine at the ports of entry..

This is an example of how farm produce are packed for export, not that thing I saw on Sahara reporters.

I have to be honest and say the Sahara reporters piece raised dounts which I already hadeven more. Me sef I am curious to know. Igbo or not, I hate being taken for a fool by anybody.

So Governor Willie Obiano lied about the ugwu and bitter leaves export which netted in a phantom $5million in foreign exchange earnings for himself, family and private pocket!
Nigeria(especially the South East and South South end) is seriously sick and needs deliverance.
When Obiano pulled that nonsensical PR gimmick, we just bought it and started praising the idle fellow instead of first analyzing the story for merit[Are we such a gullible people? Is our gullibility our real problem?]
$5million at the current exchange rate amounts to approximately 1.6billion naira.
Few analytical questions are:
What is the monthly IGR of the state?
Over what period was this foreign exchange realized?
Where are the industrial scale farms that generate this huge revenue?
Nobody[except Sowore and his friends in SR] cared to analyze the story and immediately see through the deceit of this lazy t(c)chief executive. We bought it hook, line and sinker and started praising the liar[in our characteristic praise-singing way].
Do we see the malady we find ourselves?
Lying governors[there's another in Akwa Ibom State Government House who eats and drinks lies too] versus thieving legislators.
What lessons do our children and younger ones learn from this kind of leadership?
.......
IMMUNITY the last enemy of the ordinary Nigerian, has to be expunged from Our constitution. -Composed by Isaac Eyo

If vegetables were exported.... How did they preserve it...

Seriously Vegetables can be kept fresh at a certain temperature for a period of time.
