FAAC has not shared for this month (July Allocation). When its done, all major media houses would publish and broadcast it on air. The sources given such info on Google are not reliable. It is usually shared around mid-20's of the month since this administration. I have made up my mind that my alerts would arrive after the shared allocation since there won't be any deduction from the state due to bail out funds debt |

sauce at ICT tells me ICT people, are now halfway competed doing biometric for pensioners, submitted the final list (batch weeks ago (2 or 3 weeks now), Wike approved and it went to Ministry of Finance... ICT is no longer the issue, its with Ministry of Finance, so my sauce has no more useful info since it is now passed them.... Wike's number was posted by Sahara Reporters and re-posted on Nairaland a while ago, here -> https://www.nairaland.com/3082346/phone-numbers-governors-published-sahara .. some of my colleagues called him, but me i no fit....

Words can't explain the pain I am going through this period. All my plans of investment have been crushed by this situation. How do we move forward if our salaries can't be paid consistently, for at least a year?Mind u,half of the year has gone without any notable achievement due to this non-payment.All d plans made for d arrears crushed.Since we started this job,it has been like this,Issues always coming up somewhere. And b4 u know it,retirement is at hand.Business is d only way u can stand strong.I will advice all of us to try and invest when this money comes,no matter how small.MMM wont be a bad start,at least,u won't have too spend much to get returns. Also try to further ur education while seeking better jobs, because ur life can't end here as a teacher.Imagine I had to resort to moving to my family house b4 I die of hunger. Wish u all d best life has to offer.God help us. 4 Likes |

And please let's be realistic, there is no how we can be paid this week.Rivers State government will only reason payment of salaries a week after FAAC meeting.Which means our salary will come around d usual first week of the new month.Pls get ur minds off this salary issue till whenever it comes. That's the only way to survive this.Stop thinking about it or u will fall sick.Please. |

what am sure for now and what God use to give me hope is that, 1. No more excuse. 2. No up to date paid civil servant will receive August salary without we in the so called batch 8 (been the last batch) first and foremost receive our April, May, June and July salary between this week/next week, before we join them to receive our August salary by first/second week of September 3. After our April, May, June, July and August salary has been paid, the payment of our unpaid February salary and that of those of March will commence. 1 Like |

RIVERS CIVIL SERVANTS, OVER TO YOU At a time when most States are not paying salaries, we decided to prioritize the welfare of workers in the State. As I speak, we did not only clear the huge backlog of salaries owed to civil servants, pensioners, primary health workers and the State football teams by the previous administration; we are up to date in our salary obligations to civil servants, except those who still have issues to clear with our biometric staff audit exercise. All I know is that 1. FAAC meeting must hold this week. 2. Before next weekend we must receive our four months salary. Remember that I use "must", and it's very very important. 1 Like |

Late Revenue Remittances Delay FAAC Meetings, Says Odah THE Chairman, Finance Commissioners’ Forum, Mr. Timothy Odah, said that late remittances by revenue collecting agencies were often responsible for the delay in conducting the monthly meeting of Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC). Odah said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Abuja. He said that the FAAC meeting often took place later than scheduled due to lateness in rendering accounts. The commissioner said that if funds were readily available on scheduled, revenues would be promptly shared to enable all tiers of government carry out their responsibilities. “What I will like to see is improvement in funds. When funds improve, you will see that problems will go. Because all these problems that arise during FAAC meeting is because of money. That NNPC will not bring returns on time; it delays.” “So, if before we get here and NNPC has gotten everything we need; we will be singing haleluyah! If each period we come for FAAC and funds are available, there is the tendency that we will conduct our meetings and go on time,’’ he said. Odah said there was the need to employ good accounting system to ensure proper accounting of revenue generated in the country. He said that the country must computerise all aspects of its transactions for best international accounting practices. Odah said that revenue remittance to the federation account would be boosted if the entire businesses conducted by all of the country’s revenue generating agencies were done digitally. He said that there would be reduction in fraudulent handling of resources if there were better record keeping of all transactions by these agencies. He noted that it wasn’t possible to use automated sharing formula accepted by all in order to reduce the need for frequent FAAC meetings in Abuja,. “I doubt that. This is because computer cannot talk for us. This is because the issue of FAAC meeting concerns disbursements. “You know computer makes mistakes because human beings operate it. So there must be a sitting committee as well as a technical committee that will look at what was remitted into the federation account by all the revenue agencies involved”, he added Sauce/Soup/Stew ==== http://thepointernewsonline.com/?p=28334 Your boy, Cruize306 |
