Like I'll always say, these days, society, dictates and modulates our thoughts and actions, and particularly, how we perceive ourselves and our environment.

There is nothing inherently unattractive about the dark skin, but society has conditioned girls and women to believe that having a lighter skin tone, is more attractive. And as humans, we are very impressionable, and our decisions are by a large extent, guided and informed by public opinion. So when you think about it, it's not really the fault of those women who bleach. It's the fault of society, and it's pet bull dog; the media.

Because of this fact, women have now resorted to bleaching their skins to satisfy men's desire. And some women have perfected the art of skin bleaching to the extent that its difficult to tell if a lady is bleaching or not.

Yes, I agree with you entirely. What's uncommonly beautiful about the human species, and what separates us from other species, is the fact that we are unique in a lot of ways. We evolved consciousness, we evolved speech and we are able to internalize thoughts. Something no other specie can boast of. Another aspect of our uniqueness is race, and the colour disparity even within those races. But even despite the colour differences, no race is more aesthetically superior to the other. And it's quite sad that Africans who have been blessed with such a beautiful dark skin tone, can't appreciate it, and would rather turn it into something else. This is really sad and disturbing.

There is this girl on NL, Suzan404, she is dark skinned, but she is one of the most attractive person I have ever seen. Just imagine if people like her, decide to change their skin colour, then they would be depriving the world of such ravishing, rare beauty.

I completely sympathize with your point of view.

The black skin is beautiful. It's an amazing skin colour, and our young girls and boys need to know that, cause they are the future of our race. Our parents need to tell it to them and we the older siblings need to set good examples, and let our younger siblings know that there is nothing wrong with being dark, and there is nothing to be ashamed of with being naturally dark skinned.
