MMM will end when online and offline articles like this begin to circulate and spread panic around hence discouraging more people from joining the scheme.

These kind of schemes thrive on what I will call goodwill and once many people begin to speak against the program as is happening now, it is most likely heading for a crash.

you already said that in the previous post about MMM people asked you to prove your claim and you ignored them. Can you please tell us what happened if possible screen shot your account, the fact is everyone knows mmm won't last forever but currently am yet to see a single person who wasn't paid including I.

Some few months back, a Nigerian musician sang a song " who you epp". No sane reason exist for this business to thrive one day in Nigeria cos I think our people had been made wiser from previous scam businesses. While I do not know the genuineness or the workings of this MMM, I believe it has the trend or element of greed that all other failed ponzi scheme had. No 419 scam does not have an element of greed. Tell me one investment in Nigeria today that had 30%returns. So why won't people run into it. Sure the handlers are just using the money of some others to shore up the supposed returns. When they have generated enough bubble trust, they will resort to the strategy stated in this article and well, we all know no known address exist, no claim can be made

So much negativism among my people. Tell me one thing in this world that is void of risk. In the site it is even stated that you shouldn't invest all you have, invest a part that you can do away with. No matter what, the pessimistic human being will always have a negative thing to say. Like someone stated. you need to call before you make payment so that assertion of Get Help being off for a while is not true. There is also a platform to write how you feel about the site and its activities. Bottom line is, there is risk in it but it is worth taking. You've been saying this same thing in every MMM thread; yet when you are quoted to substantiate your claim, you go dumb.

Why not open a thread and discuss your experience so that others can learn? Attach payment slips, screenshots, names and phone numbers of those that got your 500k help if indeed your claim is anything to go by so that others can learn from your mistake.

It will be an ugly thing that someone loses his money and complains here only for you to come and say the same thing happened to you while you had the opportunity to broadcast your experience and prevent such reoccurance.

God bless you this show that you are among the 10% of Nigerians that can think properly..The funny thing is that it is the people that did not put a dime in MMM that are making a tell of a noise because they don't believe in taking risk life is all about risk it is risky not to take risk in life.My money is in MMM I don't care if it close tomorrow..those people that are "swallowing panadol for another man headache" should mind their business.Nobody is going to cry to you if MMM turns out to be a scam.

Get these correctly we have stand to SAY NO to financial slavery and has come to understand in the power of giving. The only thing that makes a common happy MMM. Given this topic that was on the front page today, I saw some comments by people and it was noted that ''There is no pool of money with the current MMM and therefore they can't run away''.

Given the nature of their business, with no investments and the fact that they have put in resources in place to allow for this trade to happen, it is pertinent that one day or another, they will close down, and they won't go through that stress without duping people of their money. Seeing the topic today, I had to register and checkout how the model works , and also brainstorm on the eventual way the MMM operators will dupe those that are in the system.

I am giving a scenario here and though it may not play out the same way, there should be no denying the fact that one day - which i wll term as ''the day of reckoning''. the MMM site will shut operations and will try to make as much as possible from your funds before that.



Now here is the scenario. As there is no pool as someone rightly said, I registered and saw the mode of operation. It is worthy of note that the same MMM site runs in several countries:-

Nigeria
South Africa
India
Colombia
Turkey

So from my postulation, the fold-up will happen in a month - The month of reckoning-- across all MMM sites on that month because anything short of that will send panic to other countries and they won't maximize.

The scenario i see playing out is that the handlers will have bank accounts or agents in all countries of operations and in the month of reckoning, as there is no pool of money, all the ''get help'' requests will be paused - Not paused perse, but no ''get help'' request will go through and will be pending as they won't publish it.

Now the ''Provide help'' will be allowed to work, but the account shown will be that of the handlers of the site (or their agents) and people will keep providing help, but it goes to the scam account. Now this will go on for a month as you have to wait for a month to use your Mavro. The first people that will notice the scam will be the ''Get help'' People as they will keep waiting, but no help will come. Then ''Provide help'' people will come to know after a while and they MMM people will release a statement saying the ''business model experiment failed and they are shutting down''

Nevertheless a closer look at MMM south Africa shows a safe proof system that can run infinitely due to the compensation plan but the payment module of the MMM Nigeria remains sketchy.

I could not agree with you more. Its a non fact that during a recession people panic and worry. Fraudsters use this to their advantaage by advertising get rich schemes all in a bit to grab the little cash that people have left.

We ve had different types of scams here like forex, online questionnaires for cash,etc.

Dont forget about Umanah umanah of a few years ago that ran in several states in Nigeria. People lost alot of money .

The only advice I will give to any investor is to get your money back after 60 days anything longer is pure gamble.

These guys take money from people an share amongst their cronies giving outsiders a false impression that their schemes work.

They have predetermined plans on how they intend to start the scheme and a well crafted exit strategy that ensure the scheme folds smoothly without people even knowing.

They hire authority figures, celebrities and even Pastors to fool people into investing in the scheme.

When exactly did you pay someone?

The problem with Nigeria is that there is so much joblessness among the youths, so they are ready to invest their time and the little money they have into any dodgy ''investment'' that promises huge returns.

I don't know much about this scheme but I can clearly see that this is a Ponzi scheme. Years ago, there used to be similar schemes like "Plan-well", Fund-map" that used the same dodgy tactics, a lot of people lost their house rents and school fees to these scams.

There are a lot of jobless educated illiterates in Nigeria who cannot see a scam even when it's staring them in the face.
