The same politics he complained about on the blog, is still the same politics he has carried on to twitter. It's hypocritical.

There was politics in the blog, like the rest of Nigeria, it was a political year. So politics was always bound to simmer into subjects on defence. You simply cannot differentiate one from another, especially in a political year. As the sole administrator, he reserved the right to block those who constantly veered into politics.

He began the blog in 2010, that's not 15 years. Besides, he, Ocelot2006, Tbite, Might Yagz were the blokes holding down Nigerian defence in Cyberspace prior to the founding of beeg's blog.

I don't see other uniquely defence handles always muddling into politics, entertainment, non-defence related rants on twitter.

In the end, it's his handle, and i wish him all the best. At the end of the day, we all got inspiration from Beeg, and that's the fact.

The CS/VP3 hasn't failed to deliver, far from it. It has performed well and is widely deployed across the country. My point is, with the ARA MRAP coming on stream, i don't see the Nigerian army going for the CS/VP3. They both are primarily APCs, while the Reva is a light, more mobile MRAP, a support QRF vehicle, if any word like this exists.

These are the stats for the ARA MRAP

DIMENSIONS :
LENGTH : 6800mm
HEIGHT : 2500mm
WIDTH : 2500mm
WHEELBASE : 3500mm
GROUND CLEARANCE : 250mm
GVW : 19 Ton
PAYLOAD : 3000kg
ENGINE : 218 @ 2200rpm
GEARBOX : Allison 6 Speed Automatic
APPROACH ANGLE : 40deg
DEPARTURE ANGLE : 60deg
MAX SPEED : 96km/h
FUEL TANK CAPACITY : 200 L

The Nigerian army operates an extensive test facility at the Styer vehicle manufacturing plant in Bauchi.

There are a number of IFVs which have reached their terminal life span, however i'm sure there are plans in place to replace them. Unlike the SANDF, we do not usually have "Projects", publicly known projects, example with the Badger.
The ARA MRAP is a light from the stats like the Indian vehicle nemesis posted recently. It can be in the role you described for the

A vehicle is the class of the Reva, Puma, Mamba etc would be better.

The Badger IFV is for mainly mechanized infantry. So different variants of it will be available for the fast moving infantry able to support them with direct fire support, indirect fire, anti-tank capabilities etc.

All the weapons mounted on the vehicles.

With Nigeria the IFVs in service or approaching the end of their life span can only offer direct fire. Different types not even enough to equip one battalion.

I agree he is trying. I visit his blog sometimes. Military threads, pages, blogs and forums are not easy to run in Africa. Content isn't readily available. If he can try get fresh content and photos, i'll visit more often.

NIGERIAN AIR FORCE FIGHTER JETS BOMBARD BOKO HARAM LOCATIONS IN NORTHERN BORNO

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in continuation of its efforts at finishing the remnants of the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT), conducted several air strikes at suspected BHT locations on the outskirts of Tumbin Gini and Tumbin Kayewa Northeastern Borno State on Friday 16 September 2016. The air strikes were as a result of ground based intelligence and successive Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance reports obtained from several missions flown by NAF platforms. In a video released by the NAF, some of the terrorists could be seen at one of the rendezvous where they were believed to be holding a high-level meeting when NAF jets were scrambled to hit the locations.

A post-strike battle damage assessment of the the strikes revealed that the rendezvous was badly damaged with many casualties while those far from the vicinity could be seen scrambling to safety. The aircrafts involved in the air strikes are the NAF F-7Ni and the Alpha jets. The air offensive of the NAF have continued to deny the terrorists any hiding place and room for maneuver. This has enabled unhindered advance by the surface forces as part of the ongoing Operation GAMA AIKI. It will be recalled that the NAF had, in an earlier operation successfully conducted air strikes on BHT Camps at Tumbin Rego on 26 August which led to the death of many high ranking members of the group.

What's the purpose of the bombardment if ground forces are not present to round up and finish off the remnants who flee on foot. Just
wondering.

if they require such professionals they would put such vacancy out for DSSC ,you qualify for SSC because a degree in any field is accepted so far you are between 24-29 years of age .yes NYSC discharge certificate is mandatory.

Definitely such type of clean up or mop up operation is done after any air strike/bombardment. Except for deep any territory that might prove suicidal.

But right now BHT is not holding any territory, they use the gorilla tactics. So in such air strikes there will be even ISR Assets still in the sky to give ground troops with real time events.

The Nigeria military in the north east has really stepped up its ware fare game.
