Nigeria is richer than Ivory Coast. Yet look at this beauty. The British colony was a failure. I wished we were colonise by the french.

I got to the park at 7 am but the bus is just leaving Lagos now. I paid 23,500.

Is it safe to change my money at the boarder in Benin or I should use ATM for my withdrawals? Can I pay for hotel with my naija ATM using pos?
Someone should help with this info. Thanks

Change your money at Hillakondji (Between Benin And Togo border)
It's better there....

If you did not inform your bank before travelling that you would like to use the card there, that may be problematic o.

Turn to the back of your card and call the number behind the card as customer care.
Inform them.
And lastly, I hope you are not using UBA
Because if you are, *lips sealed*

Finally in town. All intending travelers should get vaccinated for meningitis in addition to yellow fever vaccination. I only traveled with my yellow fever card and was asked to pay additional 4000 cefa for meningitis vaccination. I paid and got the injection.

I AM IN DEAF AND DUMB MODE AT THE MOMENT . God help me

If you can't speak French, are lost or can't seem to connect with your Abidjan contact, find your way to Treichville or Marcory Remblais, that's Naija "welcome to Abidjan" points @ Ngcars.

Remember : Don't do crime and stay safe.

Thanks for your advise. I am doing fine now, at least I now have someone who can interprete for me.

Hotel accommodation here is expensive oooo. I have been spending 8000cfa per night. Naira is in a very bad state now, hence the reason why things seems expensive around here.

I visited cap sud yesterday and saw Nigerians in green and white celebrating independence.

Naira and cefa is as almost at per, so you need to prepare very well if you are visiting.

There's this hotel @ France Amerique, Treichville you can rent for 60,000 cfa chaque mois.
You can make enquiries, dunno if its still in existence as this was years ago.

Lots of Nigerians, Igbos especially at Marcory. They used to play footie every Sunday morning @ Marcory field.

I'm surprised no one volunteered to accommodate you while you pay him stipend eg 50,000 cfa for a months stay.

Times have changed indeed cos most Igbo guys live in 3 bed flat and can easily rent out a room.

Either ways stay safe. You need to try "fillet, poulet and salad". Very healthy and nice especially the avocado in the salad.

Have you tried spaghetti and liver? I ate nonsense comot for that food. Pein and lait (bread and sour milk) nko? Chai, nostalgia. cheesy

@ifyalways,

I eat spag and liver on a daily basis. I am meeting new people now oooo. I am working on the accommodation thing, it will be sorted out soon

Flats is expensive considering the exchange rate at the moment. I was told of other cheaper places, but I prefer marcory here for safety reasons.
