Good morning @dupyshoo IQAS says no provisional credentials, by provisional do they mean "statement of result" and "to whom it may concern" or just "to whom it may concern"?
Thanks and sorry for my plenty questions.

Help with response please

I used WES for my ECA so I can't be certain about IQAS requirements. However, I will assume they will accept "To whom it may concern".

People that used IQAS might be able to clarify this.

Hello house. I need clarification again. I graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science and have been working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist since 2011. I finished my MSc in environmental and Public Health this year from the UK. Although, my occupation (Medical Laboratory Technologist - 3211) is on the NOC but I have decided to do only my MSc evaluation with ECA. My MSc degree is not directly related to my occupation. I hope this won't count against me later if I do not do my Bachelor degree evaluation.
Thanks

Goodmorning.

Please I want to understand this POF business.

Can the money you're using as POF be the naira in your account? Must it be in US dollars or Canadian dollars? Or is just having he naira equivalent of the money in your account enough?

Does one really need to open a DOM account and start funding it in dollars? How will you prove the source of the dollar you're using to fund the account?

Thank you.
dupyshoo:
As you said the money is a gift, then it should be no problem. I made this statement because the money will need to be in your account till you land in Canada. This can be for more than 8 months.

I will however first address the issue of the money you fixed in August 2016. You said you want to submit your application to IRCC. Have you already got ITA? If yes, when did you get ITA? I am asking this question because if you have already got ITA and you plan to submit your application within the next 1-2 months, you will have to show the proofs of the source of the 3M as well.

With regard to the 2.7M gifts, I will advise you to transfer the money in just a lump sum (i.e. all the money at once), then back it up with a gift deed from the person that transferred the money to your account. On the other hand, if you are married, you can tell all the people that are giving you the money to transfer it to your spouse and then your spouse will transfer all the money to your account. In this case, you will require a letter of explanation from your spouse stating that he/she transferred the money to your account to support your family's plan to obtain Canada's PR and he/she does not have plans to collect the money back. Your bank statement showing the transaction from your spouse account to yours should also be included.

Please note that even with the above, you will still be required to submit a letter from your bank showing the opening dates, type, closing balances and the average balances of all your accounts for the past 6 months.

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by vcole: 11:19am On Oct 04, 2016
I am really not too certain but I think that a naira denominated account should suffice. However, if one has a dom account in foreign currency that should also suffice. The applicant would have to show a clear trail of the source of funds for the foreign currency though, I assume equivalent debits in naira and credits in forex from both accounts' bank statements should be enough evidence for this.

However,

For primary source verification of your medical degree/diploma you do not need a transcript.
You set up and pay for your physiciansapply account, create a SVR and pay for the document fee. Then you send via post or courier a copy of your medical degree/diploma, passport biodata page, evidence of change of name if applicable, and a completed certified identity confirmation form. I notarised all copies I sent to be safe.
Then the MCC reviews the documents and provided there are no errors, uploads them onto your account and sends the medical degree copy to ECFMG for verification. (If there are errors, they send you a message via your account to provide what they need to correct the deficiencies. For example, a copy was cut off on one corner, you would have to send them another copy with all the margins visible).
ECFMG then sends a verification request to your medical school. The request is sent by post and contains a copy of your medical degree and a form that your dean fills and signs to confirm that you indeed attended and graduated from said school. It also contains a pre-addressed envelope.
I do not think that if the envelope was not used to send the verification back that it would be a problem. However, you have no way of knowing until ECFMG sends feedback on the verification to MCC which usually takes 20 working days.
So, if your school sent back by courier, get the tracking number and track it online, check for the date and proof of delivery at ECFMG and count 20 working days from that date.
Then check your physiciansapply account.
Under documents, you click on medical degree. Then view history. That history shows you the stages and dates on which your document has passed through the different processes. It will also show you if the verification is passed or failed.

chifylo:

Thanks a lot.

Please was it just your MBBS certificate you submitted to them?

Did they require you to submit your transcript at any point?

Did your institution put the verification in the official envelope with which it came before sending it back to ECFMG?

My institution claims to have sent the form back to EICS (about a week ago via courier), but MCC informed me that ECFMG has not gotten a response from my institution.

The dean's secretary however said he did not use the EICS official envelope. He put the form and credential in their envelope and sent back to ECFMG. Do you think this is the reason why they haven't gotten it?

Thanks for your help.

Is there anyone who has applied for PR via EE and claimed points for their NYSC period as part of work experience? I would like to know if you included any other evidence apart from the reference letter from your employer in your application. By evidence, I am referring to your nysc discharge certificate and bank statements showing salary payments.
Thanks in advance.

If it is transcripts you are talking about and you both didn't finish from the same school, then don't try it, WES will void both docs cuz it is school that ought to send the transcripts and there's no way two different schools will put correspondence in same envelope. If however its copies of your certificates you want to send, then you may send it together. A better and costless alternative is to use online fax facility to send them(ensure you have written the reference number on the certificates before sending).

@JesusDWay, you didnt quite get my question. I am wondering why it is taking forever for WES to evaluate my Unilag degree, i have been on it for over 4 months and wondering if anyone here has had their Unilag transcript evaluated faster by WES. Currently, the status on WES is 'Waiting for verification from institution' and Unilag is saying they have not received anything from WES.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! undecided THANKS A LOT AND GOD BLESS

Congrats! I am not a "Senior" but I have an idea that you can consider but before then, please clarify;

-You don't have any other POF apart from the 25% of your PFA?

-Do you have prospective buyers already?

- Yes only 25% of my PFA

Ok, this is a suggestion: Get one of the prospective buyers that you can trust to execute a legal agreement stating their intention to buy the property before your proposed departure, price and expected date of payment. That may show your intended "audience" that you have receivables that you can bank on as part of your POF. You can also support it with a small explanation. Lawyers in the house can give ideas on this.

I want to believe you already have a strategy on how to use 25% of your PFA as POF. If not, it has been discussed on this thread before and I recall that I also contributed. Will try to look for the posts and mention you.

One thing I have learned from the experience of others on this thread is that sometimes, we may have to be innovative with documentation and not allow ourselves to be limited by checklists provided our intentions are genuine and reasonable explanation can be provided.

You can refine my suggestion as you deem appropriate and share. Others may also benefit from the information.

I called my PFA this morning and asked if they could write such letter on my behalf. The agent paused to confirm and gave me feedback that they don't write such letters.

However, she told me that I can have access to 25% of pension contributions 4 months after leaving my job even if I have relocated abroad.

My take: Apparently, RSA may not be used as the primary POF but probably as a support since CIC would require funds that are unencumbered.

Anyone who intends to use it as additional POF MAY get: RSA statement of account; copy of the Pension Reform Act and asterisked clearly where it was stated that an individual has access to it 4 months after leaving current job and get it notarized supporting it with a brief explanation of how he can have access to the fund once PR is attained. Just my opinion!

You have done well. Exactly what I did when I did mine in 2014 less the notarization..
Please note that I did not use RSA as a the only POF but used with others like bank statement and Shares

Good luck!

I very much stand to be corrected but no PFA will give you a letter stating that,it's purely unethical as someone has said and could cost whoever signed that letter their job of found out seeing that such letter isnt truthful and misguiding.Immigration lawyer or not.

I worked with a PFA and can categorically tell you that the only funds you have access to if you are below 50 for private sector and 60 for public sector is the 25%hardship withdrawal which comes to play 4 months after you resign or loose your job.

Except of course you are also doing the AVC (Additional voluntary contribution)This is assessible anytime.

Personally won't encourage anyone to go the PFA way when it comes to POF aside your AVC it's an encumbered fund and you will have no immediate assess to it.

You might want to find out from your friend if he had an AVC running, wondering why any HOD would take such great risk for him if he didn't.

Tooh that's my 2cent advice to all on Pension funds ad POF.

Thanks for further insight.

@bolded: IMO, it may be used as a supporting but not as the primary POF. At least, the applicant can access the fund after 4 months of being unemployed in Nigeria.
