WHICH CAMOURFLAGE ARE THESE GIYS WEARING....?

Please which type of camouflage are these guys wearing ; the guys standing up and the SBS sitting......?

Secondly I.D the riffle, beside the tarvor (sets of tarvor riffle I'll see with hand grips)..?
I saw something similar. I wonder who's idea it was to introduce this new camo scheme, to me it seems really bright, like the colors are shouting.

Boko Haram launches fresh attack on Borno village

Suspected members of dreaded Boko Haram terrorists invaded Kwashebe village in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State where they shot and killed about five residents, sources have said.

Among those dead is a middle-aged person (name withheld) who died at the Jere Divisional Police Headquarters after being evacuated with other four persons who sustained gunshot wounds in their heads, the source said.

Kwashebe community is in the South East and in the outskirt of Maiduguri metropolis which had witnessed series of attacks by insurgents in recent past.

According to a reliable source, the insurgents armed with AK47 rifles and petrol bombs, invaded the village at about 10.30am yesterday and opened fire on residents, while setting ablaze their houses after looting foodstuff and livestock.

The source added: “It was the quick intervention of some Civilian JTF around the area who responded to the attack by evacuating some of the victims, particularly the injured ones, to a nearby police station in Jere Local Government Area that saved the situation.

Our correspondent also gathered that troops of the 7 Division, Nigerian Army, around 12.17pm mobilised to the scene to apprehend the attackers, even as additional three dead bodies were taken to the same Jere police station, while some of the injured ones were taken to the State Specialists Hospital, Maiduguri, for treatment.

Sources at the hospital and the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, confirmed receiving the Boko Haram victims who sustained gunshot wounds but were said to be responding to treatment, though, they declined giving the actual number of the victims admitted at the two hospitals.

Briton held in Kenyan raid on suspected al-Shabaab base

Kenyan police have arrested a British national and two Somali women in a raid on a house in an upmarket area of Nairobi which they suspect was being used as a recruitment base for the al-Shabaab militant group.

Detectives surrounded the residence in the north of the city at 10.30am on Tuesday and took away the suspects in handcuffs.

Gigiri is the main diplomatic quarter in Nairobi and is home to several western embassies and the United Nations headquarters in the capital.

Local media reported that police confiscated what they described as “training literature and books”, which they said may have been used to aid recruitment efforts.

A security guard said the British national had lived at the compound for three years and detectives told reporters that he had travelled to Somalia on several occasions.

Kenyan troops have been fighting an al-Shabaab insurgency in the south of Somalia for five years as part of a 22,000-strong African Union force seeking to uproot the group from its main strongholds.

Al-Shabaab has fought back by staging several large-scale attacks in Kenya, including the siege at the Westgate mall in September 2013 that left 71 dead – including four attackers – and a massacre at a university in Garissa last April.

The militants have not managed to stage any major attacks in Kenya in recent months but on Thursday six non-Muslims were killed in an attack on the town of Mandera near the border with Somalia.

Bomb blast hits Maiduguri, many feared dead

Many traders and travellers were feared killed on Wednesday as an improvised explosive suspected to have been planted by Boko Haram insurgents went off outside a car park in Maiduguri, Borno state.
The explosion went off at a park popularly called Mun Garage at about 9a.m. in the capital city of the north-east Nigerian state.
A witness who said he was lucky to survive the incident said he saw about a dozen bodies covered with blood littering the scene.
“I thank God for sparing my life,,” said Usman Kachalla, a local trader. “I don’t know if it is a suicide bomber, we just heard the blast and I saw my self covered with dust.”
An official of the Civilian-JTF, Alhaji Khalil, confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES.
“Yes there was a blast early this morning outside Muna Garage along Mafa road. We have sent our operatives down there; but we have not confirmed the casualty,” said the Civilian-JTF official.
Details to follow later…

MAIDUGURI: TAC HOLDS REGIMENTAL DINNER

Tactical Air Command (TAC) yesterday held regimental dinner for the 4th quarter 2016. The choice of 79 Composite Group, Maiduguri to host the dinner was quite unique. Aside keeping with traditions of hosting regimental dinner to promote social interaction, camaraderie and disciple among officers in the Nigerian Air Force, the occasion reinforces the fact that peace and normalcy have returned to Maiduguri. It also portends great hope for eventual restoration of socio-economic prosperity in no distant time to the entire North East region.

The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas chaired the evening among other dignitaries including the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alh Usman Durkwa; the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Mshl Sadique Abubakar; Theatre Commander Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Maj Gen Lucky Irabor; branch chiefs from Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, as well as commanders and representatives from units under TAC.

The dinner provided another opportunity for eminent Nigerians to appreciate the efforts of the NAF, and the commitment by its leadership, towards combating insurgency in the North East. Both the CNS and Borno State Deputy Governor alluded to the fact that the NAF has continued to make immense contributions to the collective effort at stamping out insurgency from the North East. This act of patriotism, Alh Durkwa stated, reflects the observance of military regimental values among men and women of the NAF.
