Some teachers are using half of their salaries for co-operative and they are living in penury just because the state government is not ready to pay their deductions. Can you imagine the thinking of our people? 'they are fighting over deduction' so deduction is not a right to fight for? what can the government do to sacrifice for the masses? can he or any of his commissioners forfeit any of their allowances even in the face of recession. My brothers and sisters. We have a Big problem in Nigeria. That problem is respect for 'rule of law' and 'human right' . Respect for leaders is sacrosanct, but when Nigeria leaders suddenly turn themselves to 'god' it is unacceptable. As a leader, if you know you cannot implement a project or solve an issue, you should not aggravate it. Pertinence, reliability, responsibility, and fundamentally respect for human right, these are very key in leadership. Remember you are dealing with diverse people. God bless our country. |

If the governor is not doing anything like a capital project in the state, then what is he spending the state money on? Apart from few locations here and there spotted in Abeokuta and maybe perhaps in some other remote and undisclosed locations too,there is no visible project outside the cap the man mounts on his head! Where and what does he do with the state allocation? Look at Lagos/Sagamu express way. Look at the communities along those axis. Some no Road, some not even government presence, no drainage and he spent 8years, doing what? Yet he has the effrontery to say some people are "brainless"? A kettle calling a pot "black". If at the end of this man tenure and he is not probed then I believe the corruption stand of the president is a charade. |

OAUTemitayo: Lol. By virtue of position in the military and under a military government, he served. However, that was a Yoruba coup and he was part of it. he could've outed them. But he did it perhaps cos that was what Yoruba leaders wanted. And I'm sure the guy who outed the coup and allowed them to be infiltrated was an Egba man. Egba folks are grimy like that, based on the antecedents of ya two most prominent sons (no disrespect to the Great Fela Kuti). Yes, Awujale is technically right cos prior to the fall of Oyo, there was nothing called Yoruba. Even further into the 19th century - all the groups had their different identities. So, he's right for saying that if he wants to, especially when 19th century kings like small Egba kings want to start claiming bragging rights over his throne. Utterly disrespectful! God bless the Awujale - the most decent Yoruba king in modern times who never sold his soul for a plate of porridge - ask Tinubu. The same can't be said about Egba kings. Anyway, the reason why I called you out for trying to pull excuses out of ya arse to support this crooked and irresponsible Yoruba governor is cos that state ought to be close to Lagos in terms of development. Especially a state with the Egbas who're scholars and supremely gifted...and the business ingenuity and level of education of the Ijebus. Coupled with the fact that it's in a prime location with close proximity to Lagos. No excuse whatsoever for the state. You look like Ibadan folks defending the mess they turned Ibadan into, after everything that was built there in the 60s. Stop defending crooked muthaphuckas - these suckers ought to be stoned. Let me explain what is meant by deduction to you. For instance your are earning 100k monthly as salary, and u decided to keep 80k with your cooperative in case of any emergency, perhaps for your house rent. Or your child school fees, and u are collecting 20k. Monthly and the remaining 80k that was suppose to go to your cooperative was not remitted for 12month but your 20k is regular. My question now is are u collecting salary? |

I have Directors that are contributing 60-170k as cooperative. Most civil servants depends on cooperative society to run their various home. out of the stipend they collect they keep some Incase of emergency because when demand arise no one will help or borrow you money. And the government fail to pay such money all you can do is to defend such wicked governor. Shm |
