I am 40, my first son is in the University, wifey is ever young, like 25 years and best friend cos we started early together, even without much money, we trend together with the children, able to run things together and not stone age to computer age, still handled vector and quadratic yesterday, we easily understand each other, with ever fresh ideas, they drill my brain, i drill theirs, she struggle her wears and accessories with the girls, they learn from us (Myself and Wifey), We bring resources together to build a home and invest in their future, Its always fun and we are still much active, abeg, you just wont understand early marriage is the best. Of what joy is it at 55 years still struggling for school fees? Guess i need to count my blessings again. May God protect and spare us all.

I am thoroughly impressed with this write-up. Nobody doubts the fact that responsibility is hardwork but the fun and excitement growing up with your kids means you have a great influence unknowingly on them. I remember struggling my dad's Famad sandals and new designer singlets and shirts with my younger brother (now a lawyer). I also remember him putting me through elementary maths and basic science using groundnuts and abacus. I remember his beatings because I was quite stubborn as a kid. Now he calls me to call the last child a semi-finalist law student at uni to order. He's a 60 year old granddad and I'm 27 and about to take that plunge into marriage. Obafemi Awolowo University's best graduating medical student about 3 years ago or so, was a married woman. If I can remember correctly she clinched 12 solid awards.

My mum got married while in School and had two of us to care for, yet she had 2.1 in Mathematics

Early marriage early break up. Those wey dey hurry to do introduction before don dey get another boy friend. Do it when its right. U can rush to get marry becos u like a guy or girl. Some that took loan from bank then because to don't wanna loose a girl end up with nothing now. Can't forget what a calabar man told me "if u don't have money u can't enjoy your married, I pay 1 million every year for my children school fee n my wife has been using sir for me since d day I got a good job n she hasn't change but I no that she is not that nice its all about d money".

Arguing a point in an objective way doesn't make one immature my dear. I believe whatever suits an individual, they are so many successful individual who married young as well as those who married late.

I graduated at 20 (1982), married at 22 (1984) and had the last of my four children at 39 (2001). Now at an age when many of my mates are still struggling to train their children in secondary schools, mine have all graduated except the youngest. Early marriage has its own advantages.
