Government and banks want it crashed by all means

Exactly!

Banks, because MMM is taking away their customers!

Government, because MMM does not pay tax.

Nairaland i.e. seun, umm... well, I just can't tell!

It is strange how you lamely and disingenuously absolved government of any blame, and instead, took the people to the cleaners for being 'lazy' and unwise in their amoral desire for free wealth. For your information, Nigerians are not lazy; it is the lack of visionary and purposeful leadership that led many youths to make wild, weird, and obviously unreliable financial investment. More than anything, the unprecedented resilience of Nigerians have been central to the survival of this state. The leadership is always on abeyance; has replaced rhetoric with policy framework. If the government is responsive and faithful to its primary constitutional duty of creating enabling environment for businesses to thrive, I know few Nigerians will be interested in the scheme. In fact, the absence of government had led, and continue to lead, people to their early graves. I don't have a kernel of compassion for anybody who invests in MMM, because I believe the person has a profound and deep knowledge of the scheme - including its pros and cons. Again, I had a few guffaw at your hasty generalization, which, once again portrays Nigeria and Nigerians in bad light. The so-called owner of MMM said his investment boasts of about three million Nigerians, and I wonder how three million Nigerians constitute the entire population of the country. And lastly, ponzi schemes are virtually in all countries of the world; so it is not peculiar to Nigeria.
RentALodge:
Perhaps, the greatest evidence of the laziness and greed of Nigerians is the rapid growth of ponzi schemes in the country in the last 12 months, the most popular of which is MMM.

A difficult question to answer but perhaps if each one of us begins to seek a higher quality of existence outside of capricious accumulation of wealth and understand that the true worth of a man is not determined by the amount of wealth he is able to accumulate but in the positive impact he has on his family, community, society and humanity at large, we would have taken a huge first step in our journey to redemption and a higher quality of life.

It is counter-productive to complain of suffering from the negative effects of economic recession while still staking your limited resources in dubious schemes. Many Nigerians scoff at the government’s call for citizens to embrace agriculture which is proven to be a productive venture all over the world but are willing to seek ‘free money’ with Ponzi schemes. Is this a failure of government too? Definitely not, it is a failure of individuals to take the right decisions.

Yes, it is not everybody that will become a farmer but there are other legitimate businesses that people can go into and highly sought-after skills that people can learn to gain full time or part-time employment. Examples abound in ICT with programming, translation jobs, virtual jobs of all sorts paying in foreign exchange if you are willing to do the work.

Is there anything like spare money in the first place?

I rarely quote people on Nairaland but I just can't help this, you need to be educated about this!

First of all, do you know who you pay money to in MMM? No! MMM can easily open multiple Nigerian banks accounts, and since they control who is merged with who and who its easy to manipulate it, I have always been telling my friends about this, during this last two weeks which MMM was merging people quicker to provide help, they can easily channel all the big amounts of help(money) being provided to their own designated bank accounts in names of their cronies. Its a very easy to do with a two week period and then bolt away.

The one month stuff is just an excuse, do you think by January 13th when 100% of every MMM participant would be waiting to withdraw money then who would pay them when all of them would request to withdraw? No one would invest in MMM from now till January, that's for sure, everyone would be waiting to be paid, by January take it that 100 people in a room are waiting for money, prior to now a percentage were paying and receiving, now the whole 100% would be waiting to be paid, that's where the system would finally crash!

Google MMM and read about it, the owner is a convicted fraudster who has been jailed prior to now, that should be a clue. MMM has been blocked and frozen in China and South Africa respectively so you think Nigeria's case would be different?

Nigerians needs to be more logical when engaging in money matters.
i still dont care. i played buy the rules. i only use spare money. i am not in panic mode. and for you think no one will invest is a big lie. most people that have been matched to pay are still paying.

Why would you call me mumu if you don't understand what I'm saying ? Nairaland painted it as if MMM responded to the freezing of accounts by saying they warned people to use spare money. Check MMM support twitter handle and see if there is anything of such there. That tweet was in response to another thing and it was dated yesterday, not today.
You don't know me and you feel very comfortable calling me mumu. It's OK.

Things have started falling apart. Wonder bank part 2.

samx4real:
IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE MMM MESSAGE following a
message on the MMM website this morning, 13/12/2016,
many have misinterpreted it to mean MMM has been
suspended for a month, but the part which made people
think that is quoted as follows:

"Hence, on the basis of the above mentioned, from now on all confirmed Mavro will be frozen for a month."- MMM Admin.

Please this statement does not in any way mean that MMM activities have been suspended for a month, it only means that the usual two weeks RELEASE DATE will no longer hold, ur mavro must complete a month. all get help are still going to be paid, if u provide help 2day, ur release date will be one month from now. keep providing n getting help. Please
rebroadcast this message till it becomes clear to everybody.

It's rather unfortunate that even some MMM guiders got
this message wrong.

KEEP CALM... MMM has not crashed

Mr. Seun, you can't possibly keep quiet while this is going on, I've noticed right from the onset that negative publicity have always had a free way to the front page. Never have I seen any positive post concerning MMM on the front page, even when you know it's evident this programme has actually helped a lot of nairalanders and Nigerians at large.

Nairaland is a one stop for most computer literate Nigerians for news, information, education and entertainment, so I find it quite disturbing when this place shows any kind of bias towards something so obvious.

I'd sincerely need a reply from you.

Who are you so scared of to this extent?
What were you promised in return if you look the other way?
What happened to being fair and just?

I ask these because the mods must have taken their instructions from someone. If they can get to you then it means we the nairalanders are no longer safe, because they can manipulate us through you.

[quote author=CheenaChuks post=51892685]Nigerians don't like to take time to read sha....It says "from now on, all confirmed mavros will be frozen for a month" My own understanding is that you can no longer withdraw before 30days...Remember people could withdraw after two weeks...now because of the 50% bonus, in order to stop greedy people from PH and GH before your mavros is a month's ripe, they are now enforcing it. You will only be able to GH after your confirmed mavro has stayed for 30days!!!! You guys should stop fretting and just read the notification on mmm again biko!!! TO MMM PARTICIPANTS...

*Guider Chuddy*
This Christmas period everyone would want to GH and that won't be good for the system, so this freezing will control the rate of GH and make it orderly.
Note: people GH mostly only on Tuesday and Thursday, but now people will be GHing daily as soon as their mavro is released; and you know everybody's mavro won't be released on the same day, therefore there's bound to be controlled GH.
SO TELL YOUR DOWNLINES:
for those whose mavro is up to one month but you can't GH, don't worry; within 24 hours the eligible ones will be released so they can GH.
The system has to freeze all at the same time (both the eligible and ineligible ones) so that it'll then take time to release the ones up to 30 days.
NOTE: all these are measures to ensure that MMM stays alive till and beyond 2017.
Our rush to GH has now been slowed down, for the sustainability of our community.
MMM pays! Together we build the world!!
*Guider Chuudy*
This is the explanation...
Dear mavrodians, my mission here is to make us properly understand this new message that seems to be causing panic out there in the hearts of all MMM participants. The message does NOT say that nobody will be able to GH until January, instead the message is saying that you will not be able to GH until after 30days that you actually made the payment of your PH and the recipient confirms. Meaning that your money must actually spend minimum of 30days outside. So for example, if you PH 100K on 5th November, and you are matched to pay on 10th November, assuming that you made the payment but the recipient does not confirm your order until 15th November when he finally comfirms receipt of your payment. From that instant (15th November), your mavros will change status to "CONFIRMED" ( irrespective of colour Blue or Green ), so you will only be able to request for help (GH) on that particular 100k + 30% growth as from 15th December. It is not that you can't GH before January.
Please spread this to all your downlines and all participants that you know.
