what you failed to grasped here is that the issue is not whether he was given or not but only his position. the bible calls him 'the only potentate' I hope you know what that mean.

As for Jesus being given authority and power, do you know Jesus is God? When Jesus came into this world he didnt come with the authority and power he had originally, he came as a servant that is why pray to the father to glorify him with the glory had before the world began.
When Jesus resurrected he received back his authority and power which is the authority of the Almighty.
