Hello mama's in the house,I have an appointment with my doctor in Richmond Virginia next week,my problem is no flight is available to Virginia till 3 of next month, the travel agent advised I board a flight to Washington then take a local flight to Virginia from there.... I hope there won't be a problem at the POE

No issues what so ever. In fact it might just be your best bet.

I think it's a bit too risky putting all your eggs in Stanbics basket in this Buharis economy o

I don't think you understand how much tourist abuse healthcare system here and leave without paying a penny.

The Nigeria lady left £350,000 hospital bills unpaid and in 2011 another Nigerian lady gave birth to quintuplets and left £145,000 unpaid.

You called people complaining racist?

There is a thread here about giving birth in UK though that thread disappeared as people don't fancy the idea, so i don't know where the journalist got the nairaland aspect of that article

This is what got to me though. Every other thing he wrote lost its flavour after he mentioned there is a place called nairaland where we swap ideas!

I promise this is going to be my last word on this issue. Let me correct that impression that I support people who abuse the system I don't because I pay my dues as at when due home and abroad. But I get pissed off when people paint all Nigerian as crocks and scammers. I am a Nigerian 100% and I am proud to be one. American will stand for their country anytime and anywhere even when they know the system is not what it should be. Can't we as Nigerian learn to do the same? Why was the writer talking only about Nigerian in that write up? Are Nigerians the only tourist who give birth in the U.K.? The change must begin with me We are good people and a great nation

Hi beejay
Can you share with us why you chose Richmond Virginia? Anything to do with reduced costs? We would love to have you shed more light.

Thanks in advance.

Hello mamas n papas.

IN THE SPIRIT OF GIVING BACK (MY TESTIMONY ON MISSIONARY JOURNEY PT 1)

Dollar Hustle: it wasn't easy at all but to God be d glory I got PTA from first Bank loaded into my Visa gold card, I also did western union, opened access bank acc got their visa card, I hv my UBA n GTB master cards.

Flight Hustle: that one almost discouraged me totally, after searching for a cheap flight to Atlanta like forever, I finally got Turkish though I never used it bf but had no choice since it was the cheapest. I was suppose to travel on the 8th of Jan but the ticket got messed up and Turkish cancelled that flight so I booked another one for 14th Jan "see gap ooooo and belle Don drop like kilode"

POE: finally I left abj on the 14th at about 3am, got to Istanbul like past 10am same 14th, used my VIP card enter lounge "see food for free chaiiiii" then we took off again around 3pm straight to Atlanta, flight was good though it wasn't funny seating for 12hrs at 36weeks. Zooommmm we got to ATL at night same 14th, I used the machine n printed out my receipt, I was the only pregnant woman ooo with my big belle, immidiatly the security took me straight to the front make i for no too stand for queue.
CBP : hello passport
ME: hi gave him
CBP: I see u were here last Feb 2016, how long did u spend?
ME: 3weeks then port to Canada n came in again for another 3weeks.
CBP: So how long do u want to spend on this trip?
ME: 8weeks cos am here to give BIRTH
CBP: Oh really! Hv u made arrangements wit doc n hospital and how much do u hv?
ME: absolutely I hv $.. all in card.
CBP: OK I will send u to my colleague to confirm ur money

CBP2: which hospital are u using? Have u made any payment yet and how much is it gona cost in all?
ME: I told him everything as for payment not yet until after my first aptmt.
CBP2: Do u know what u are expecting?, is this your first baby and why do u want to give birth to this baby in US instead of ur country?
ME: yes baby bla bla, no its my third but first in US the other two wasn't a too good experience so I want a better health care this time.
CBP2: OK am sorry I don't mean to keep u for long but I will send u to a room where u will relax, use the restroom n wait for my colleague to verify ur money.
ME: OK no wahala "na so I enter secondary inspection"

I went in straight to the restroom jare cos I was even pressed, nah so I piss finish just declared a word of prayer, came out and sat magestically with plenty other people though not pregnant. After few min I was called.

CBP3: how much do u hv, and why do u want to give birth here?
ME: I gave same answer and he said "don't tell me it's cos of better health care that's Nigerians normal saying so just tell me d truth" I started laughing and he said "u are good to go and hv a nice stay, I wish u all the best"

Na so I happy cos he didn't even ask to see anything just two questions n I ran away ooooo, waited for my luggage's nothing was searched and everything scaled through including palm canel oil.

Am relaxing while waiting for my doc appointment and LO to arrive fast.

To God alone be the glory, tanks to everyone on this platform cos u all inspired me and took away fear from me cos my heart did not panic all along because I was over prepared for them. God bless u all.

Virginia is only a few minutes drive from Washington. That's the closest airport you can arrive.

All the best!

Try contacting an agent tell them to enroute your trip to USA through canada but your return can be through canada or Frankfort.
Although layover in canada can b abit lengthy eg 7-13hrs.
The only thing u will need to do after you buy the ticket is to apply for Canadian transit visa and its easy ,you need to apply for it online. It takes less than 24hrs for it to b approved.

Wow so Canada transit can now be done online? Nice. I am guessing one fills the form online but they will still contact you to drop your passport for stamping!

Don't bother. Unless you want your wife to be embarrassed at the POE. But if you like a white man, calling your wife a liar and a fraud, please go ahead.
When she returns, the embassy will call you, to come and collect your own insult.
Honesty pays man. Tell your friend.

No they don't contact you to submit your passport, your respond (the transit visa permit) is online sent to your email. You just print it and have it with you as you travel, it already contains your passport details which you wi hand over to the immigration in canada and this document is valid for I think 3years (not so sure about the numbers of years but I know it's either 3 or 4years)

I'm glad that you pay your due because that is what any responsible human being should do, you don't use a service and leave without paying for it. I'm also 110% Nigerian but will never support injustice in the name of patriotism.

The same way the Brits complain about the abuse of NHS by health tourist is the same way Americans complain about the abuse of medicare by foreigners.

Its not by coincident that Nigerians are targeted as fraudulent people, its because of what some Nigerians do and support.

This is not an attack on you but this is becoming far too common here.

Hello guys, been a while. Trying to renew my visa. Has anyone had difficulty filling the DS160 form lately? When I click on the form, it just keeps showing "session timed out" even while I haven't entered any info yet. Any tips would come in handy pls.

@ Chloe 7, thanks for the response. But assuming I requested for $4000 for PTA from first bank, can I still request for same amount at stanbic simultaneously?

Yes you can request for the max amount per quarter from all sources but once you get the 4k from one of the sources you can't request again in that quarter because you've gotten the max amount already. But now most banks are telling stories for pta, I applied for 2k with stanbic no word from them yet, even if it's 1k i'll get I don't mind

You should be fine. The airports in DC (IAD/DCA) are about 2 hours (2 1/2 plus traffic) from Richmond VA. You can get an Uber costs about $200 for your comfort or a $15 greyhound bus or Amtrak < $50 from DC to Richmond depending on comfort level for you. Uber will be straight from the airport to destination others will include taxi to the station (greyhound/amtrak) and taxi to your destination from the station here in Richmond. Most people fly directly from the DC airports cos its cheaper, the only downside is the additional stress getting from Richmond to DC. If possible try and route your return flight out from Richmond so you don't have to deal with that additional road trip with the newborn.

I think I still stand by nerf's opinion. There is absolutely no benefit in giving birth in the U.K. and they know that. That is why the so called thread disappeared I was in the U.K. With a twin pregnancy at 28weeks and nobody asked me any questions when I was entering because tourists seldom go there to give birth. I found that article rather too personal ,unprofessional and absolutely mischievous. Why should the writer go to the extent of mentioning somebody's name? I think that Ayelabola woman should sue them. It is nothing more than defamation of character. kilo de gan to the extent that they put her pix with her children abeg make them free that woman joor abi na jelosy wan key them?
If u read about her story, the hospital wrote off her debt cos dy admitted not sending any bills till 6 months after. And wen dy got no response (cos she'd obviou6left d country) dy neva followed up.
The writer was obviously bitter abt smth.
