Thank you so much.

please I wanted to find out if PREVIOUS REFUSAL DECLARATION is different from the COVERING LETTER am writing to explain the different deposits in my account. this was the reason I was refused in December 2016. thank you

There are related but not the same, when you declare previous refusal you will be asked to give brief explanation which is where covering letter comes in.

Note for everyone re-applying.
Remember U.K. (and USA.)
have everything that you said or presented in previous applications on computer records.
They can access this at any visa centre, anywhere in the world.

Make sure that anything that you present matches with your old application.
Or that any changes can be backed up with facts and evidence.

^^^ Why not just get another account for your salon?

So when you want to apply, you go with your salary and salon bank account statements. Then write a letter supported with docs ( shop rent, receipts etc) to explain your alternative source of income ie barbing salon.

Dear Justwise and others
Please I need your urgent help with this. I am in the process of putting in an application for my mother in law to come for omugwo. I am due in feb. she is 70 years and is retired. She is financially sustained by my hubby and her other children. I and my husband will be sponsoring her trip 100% and we have sufficient savings and find to fund the trip. The problem we are having is trying to establish her ties with Nigeria. Her bank account is seldom used as most money given to her is sent to close relatives to give her as that relieves the stress of going to the bank or atm. The house she lives is in my late father in laws name. My question is do we have to supply a bank Statement for her and secondly what other ways can we prove she has sufficient ties in Nigeria. We just don't want to get this wrong and there is limited information for omugwo visits within the tread to draw from other people experience. Please help!!!!!!

I applied for visa last December, and was refused on the ground that they were not sure I will return to Nigeria!

Hi everyone,
Please I need some guidance. I am currently in the U.K. On spousal visa and planning to apply for my mum to come visit. Of course hubby will be the one to do the invitation since he is the citizen. We plan to do full sponsorship for her including feeding, accommodation etc since she is retired and doesn't have any money in her account. How easy will it be? And wat documents do we need to provide from here and from her side.
Thanks everyone.

At that age the issue of ties doesn't really matter because she is over the working age and rely on families for day to day living.

She can add family pictures if you people have any else all other documents will come from you and your hubby.

Your question is similar to Ezinkem.

Provide document to proof relationship, accommodation available for her, financial capability and explain what she will be doing.

Please Help.

I just received a refusal letter from the uk visa for a visiting visa.

The ECO was satisfied with the invitation and the documents from my uk sponsor.

However i stated that my uncle together with my uk sponsor who is my cousing will be paying for the trip. I attached a bank statement of my uncle but the ECO said in the refusal letter that no proof that my uncle can sponsor me which makes me believe that the ECO did not really go through all the documents. The other reason was i have no saving which i added a statement of my personal saving of 1500 pounds because i work with a reputable telecom company which i added a letter from my company... I cant believe he/she did not see that too..... so the conclusion is i have no ties to my country and also am single.

Aside refusing me the visa, all my documents was not returned

documents submitted
1.cover letter
2.invitation letter
3. all my uk sponsors documents(british passport data page, employee id card, tenancy agreement, bank statement, council tax etc)
4. my uncles bank statement
5. my letter of employment/ copy emails because i have an official work email address
6. my bank statement
7.Passport

documents returned
1. Passport
2. my bank statement
3. my uncles bank statement

My Question is why didnt i get all my documents? because i was refused

What is the way forward because there is no right to appeal for visitors visa which my cousin is ready to take..

Please respond, let me know if need more information.

To go to the UK and work as a LEGAL immigrant
You will FIRST need to obtain a highly skilled job with a UK firm
Who will then sponsor your visa.

Beware that you do not end up as an illegal, washing dishes, or cleaning floors
and looking over your shoulder for immigration 24hrs per day.

Please don't put your hope on that because that is nearly impossible to achieve. You can't get a job in the UK from Nigeria that will guarantee you a work visa. Your sister will not be able to bring you to the UK to live and work as an adult.

Answers:
1. 100000N
2. A month
3. 2.4M Naira(1 year bank statement)..no payslips because he is a businessman but in the account u could see purchase of land, Purchase of car etc

The ECO understands am not paying towards the trip....
The fact that he/she did not see the staements of my uncle and myself baffles me.

Why was all the documents not returned??

Your uncle can't sponsor you for visiting visa to the UK as a working adult . you need to be able to sponsor yourself for holiday.

2.4M without documents to show how your uncle made the money is a bad idea. It means you presented your uncle's business account with the hope of spending the money on holiday.

Are those documents not returned photocopies?
