Good Day at Gurus in the house
Pls I want my wife to Visit UK for a week. She has a brother in UK that has been there for over 10 years (Married, with kids).
The challenge here is she (wify) has a virgin passport. The brother intends sending her invitation coupled with the small financial backing we can gather from here.
What is the likelihood of her securing Visa and what procedure do we need to take pls.
Thanks in anticipation

Hello there, i am Cameroonian and i am new here.
i have applied for an admin review last month coz my application was refused because they said im not a genuine student .i have received an email two weeks ago saying:

".....Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.
....
We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection."

Now yesterday i have received this email:
"Good Afternoon.
Further to your overseas application for a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) we have been advised that you have not entered the United Kingdom. (UK).
Your 30 day vignette visa has now expired and as you have failed to collect your BRP, it has now been cancelled.
If you wish to travel to the UK, you will need to make a new application for ‘Leave to Enter the UK’.
For further information please consult the guidance on our website at https://www.gov.uk/visas-immigration."

what does that mean? has anyone here received this kind of email before?
thanks in advance

Hello morning from Nigeria, @justwise pls need to ask a thing from you,

my brother has applied for the tier 5 charity worker visa and his appointment date is on tuesday, the start date on his certificate of sponsorship is 23rd february, ought to have applied since december but financial constraint and dollar account issues was a factor. pls i need to get cleared if its possible he gets his visa within this time frame, as we would also be booking his ticket in a hay.

thanks in strong anticipation for response.

Its very possible to get a response from them within that period, whether it will postive or negative is anybody's guess.

Yes I can, that's why I am currently saving for it. By july the cooperative will be a lump sum into my account up to 720k. This I am ready to use for the trip

That will depend on your monthly salary and not the cooperative money

Justwise and people in the house please attend to this

I was invited to a workshop in the UK for a week program all expense paid and my flight ticket has been booked for saturday 28th Jan 2017 (next tommorow). I applied and did my biometrics with TLScontact on the 30th December 2016 and up till now a decision has not yet been made as regards my VISA.

I went to their office yesterday and they are telling me to still be patient that it comes from Sheffield.

Its a virgin passport please is this normal

That got nothing to do with having virgin passport, people with travel history experience delay as well so its normal for application to take that long sometimes.

Not possible!
Already thousands of people from Afghanistan Syria Libya and southern Africa.
Living and dying in refugee camps trying to get onto UK bound lorries.

UK boarder patrol is very strict and very efficient.
If you get to France without papers you will starve and freeze in refugee camps.
This is unless you are murdered by touts and criminals on the way.

Forget this idea there is no future being illegal in Europe!

I have not received any visa. i did not mention a visiting visa. i have received this email yesterday.
i have applied for an administrative review because my tier 4 visa was refused because they said i am not a genuine student.
i have not received a response from my admin review yet.

this email is confusing me and i want to know if it is possible to receive it even if you have not received your tier 4 visa yet.

thanks in advance

Hello @Justwise and others,

I applied for a visit visa since 13th of Jan. My visa application is yet to be assessed when i tracked it. My travel date is 1st - 8th of February, I want to know if it's ideal to change the hotel reservation date because the hotel will charge on the 30th which is Sunday or i should just leave it as it is?

Please advise me.

Thanks

Hi guys. Please I would love to know if its possible for me to travel earlier than the date I stated on my application. For example, I stated that I would be leaving Nigeria on 7th February but decided to leave on 31st January. Will I have problems with entry clearance? Please I need experienced people to enlighten me on this, thanks.
