Lemme ask you something, besides th staged fight with Qhorin, why is it that each and every time Jon Snow is matched in a kill-or-be-killed fight against stronger, more experienced, and more powerful opponents, he comes out on top? Just dumb luck? In a world as gritty and stark (pardon the pun ) as the one GRRM is crafting, how long can such luck hold? I prefer to think that the book author and show producers are trying to tell us something about the guy: never underestimate him.

Nine fingers is one of my favorite Character in all of fiction,great fighter also in a world just as bleak Asoiaf(you may have heard of it) . In the third book of the series he ran into something he couldn't possibly beat till the author gave him an out. And we all understood.
Thier is no story without the bloody-nine,same way their is no story without Jon even when he actually died he did not remain dead.
You know what I agree with you all,if Jon could defeat death who be Gregor?

Download full episodes from somewhere else, those split ones no be am. The size difference is not much IMO. Download the subtitle separately then add it (subtitle) manually. Mobiletvshows (dot) net should have full episodes. Subscene (dot) com should have English subtitles. Add and sync the subtitle manually and you're good.

Easy. There are 300 Spartans, there are 7000-ish Unsullied; they meet in open battlefield... do the math.

If we want to be fair though and make it an equal balanced encounter, 300 Spartans vs 300 Unsullied on an open field, i believe both armies will annihilate each other... however, the last man standing would be a Spartan. Now who wants to know why i think so?

Did we ever really see pre-swordhand-loss Jaime fight in the show? His brief tussle with Ned Stark isn't really a good yardstick to judge him by, cos so far the evidence indicates that Oberyn will poke him full of holes, swordhand or no. But going by his reputation in the books, the youngest member of the Kingsguard ever, born to wield a sword, mmmm... i think he'd beat the Viper.

In the book, Jaime gave brienne of tarth a good fight after he was weak, tired and beaten.

The position of commander of the iron fleet was bestowed from the ruler of the saltstone throne as was his case but the loyalty, subservience and unquestioning obedience of the men of the fleet is always earned!! And boy did he earn it!!! King robert baratheon and lord eddard stark were only able to storm pyke after stannis baratheon entrapped his iron fleet somewhere around the shield islands or the mouth of the mander!! Ramsey bolton was only able to take back moat caitlin after he left with most of his force for the kingsmoot! Now those don't say much of him as a commander, but as a fighter, his renown is throughout the iron islands and he danced the finger dance as good as any and why they always looked down on mainlanders is because time and again they have proven that whenever they wanted, they could make the mainlanders bleed as black harren did the riverlands before the greyjoys! And it should be noted that at the peak of his power, victarion was the only one euron ever considered a threat! And you can't tell me that was for nothing

It was not gregors wounds that slowed him, it was the fast acting basilisk venom on oberyn's spearheads that was slowing him down but for all typical westerosi knights fighting gregor clegane was a matter of fighting fast and dancing out of danger and that is why no knight when commanded ever shied away from taking clegane head on! Jon snows style was speed and skill so yes, he could take clegane! But it is all hypothesis

Not because he isn't a capable fight (they both should be very good ) but we don't have enough to go on,there is a reason I asked for solo martial feat if we list the best fighters in the series most of them they would have done all or some of;an awe inspiring deed, killed another big name guy or their fighting skill as earned them that reputation. Not by fingerdancing or terrorizing some faceless mainlander.

Like i said, it was the poison, the wounds were just the best method to deliver the poison! I never said any knight would choose to fight him by choice if there's nothing at stake for him asides fame! I implied that no knight has absconded from his duty when charged to take on him, from berric dundarion, edmure tully who wanted the glory of killing him, loras tyrell who wanted to avenge for his unknightly shaming at the hand's tournament, the list continues if i go on, of course most of them come of worse but they never shy away and neither will jon or rob if commanded! It was their duty and the honour of their house required their death in combat but never their refusal to engage!

Now that you mention it, apart from that fight in which he got his hand poisoned by stopping a poisoned sword with his bare hands against that young knight from the shields whose ferocity he was appraising i have none sadly, but for him to have the complete obedience of another man i am adding to the list (dagmah cleftjaw ) he has to be formidable just we haven't heard much of his character yet

Because the unsullied, great soldiers and fighting unit as they were lacked on single thing the spartans had in abundance, a reason to want to win not just die fighting!! The spartans had conviction! The unsullied before daenerys had the compulsion to obey orders, both would make a soldier sacrifice his life, both won't make a soldier end up victorious even in death!

Plus there was no unsullied leonidas

The dotharaki are great fighters, they just don't make a great army, they do make a great barbarian swarm though, but an equally large westerosi mounted force will always crush them easily! So i call them howlers!!

the beauty of tarth is an impressive fighter for a female isn't she? She just is far from formidable in the true GOT sense of it, so jamie working her out, still doesn't score jamie enough points to give him an edge against the late red viper of dorne! Though it does speak well of jamie
