Because South African companies are employing Nigerians on our soil doesn't make them God. We have had nationalisation of companies owned by UK in the past and South Africa may not be an exception in the 21st century.
Nigerians in South Africa can still return to Nigeria and life will continue, but if we fail to send a very strong signal to this criminals, you can be sure in the long run you may not have any Nigerian in South Africa that will survive the future attack. When you are talking to someone, you've got to speak the language the person understands. Can't you see that the only language Zuma's errand boys understand is violence, do you think Zuma gas an iota of regard for Nigeria? Can you recollect how he relegated Nigerian president to the background during the burial of Mandela? Was he completely lacking in sense of history how Mandela was housed in Ikoyi, Lagos for protection and assistance during apartheid?

The arguments that Nigerian in South Africa are criminal is been sold to the gullible. How is it possible for Nigerians to be the only drug pushers in South Africa, get me right, am not supporting g criminality but hey, you know that if Nigerian are alleged to be sell drugs, who are the buyers? Are they not South Africans? How many of the buyer have been arrested? Are all Nigerians drug pushers? Can't you see failure of leadership /governance in Zuma's government?

If Zuma's government failed to accord us the respect we deserve and when ahead to covertly support criminal attack against Nigerians by not ensure adequate security coverage for Nigerians, he should be reminded that nobody has monopoly of violence.

My final admonition to Nigerian students as an elder is to engage on a non-violent protest. Block MTN, DSTV, etc office with peaceful protest and banner condemning the xenophobic attack against Nigerians in South Africa, let all International media carry the news. By so doing, you would have sent a clear message not only to Zuma's administration, but the whole word about the crime. This is clearly a way to show them we are more civilised.

I was more shocked when people were almost blaming the FG for slamming the fine(which they were aware of the amount ) on mtn when they clearly contravened the agreement they were part of for this same "jobs will be lost if they leave" reason when we all know mtn can't afford to leave Nigeria if they can help it.

The morons believe that MTN and Shoprite are in Nigeria because they love Nigerians. When and if their profits dry up, they will leave without looking back. I wish people would stop being apologetic; for instance, making statements such as the following: " I don't support Nigerian criminality in South Africa but South Africans shouldn't attack Nigerians etc, etc" the onus shouldn't be on Nigerians, it should be squarely on South Africans, no IF's no BUTs. This is because not only are they the ones doing the killings that nation faces huge problems and refuses to acknowledge this fact. We are not helping them one bit by facilitating their self-deceptions. Sout Africa's huge problem appears to be a teaming barbaric black population. South Africa needs Nigerians. If Nigerians leave tomorrow, South Africans will still buy drugs dealt to them by the same sources now blamed on Nigerians. Nigerians leave Sout Africa tomorrow, South Africans will pic on Zimbabweans. Zimbabweans leave the day after tomorrow, South Africans will turn on other Africans. Mind you a majority of the poor fellows shown on media clips being slaughtered by South Africans are not actually Nigerians but Angolans, Mozambicans, Zimbabweans and others but for the sake or argument we'll forget that for now South African barbarians will eventually turn on themselves, first on the whites then "coloureds" then tribes. The South Africa leadership need to create a massive number of jobs in South Africa to prevent a catastrophe since the South African blacks are restive because of unemployment but haven't the nuance of Nigerians. They can't hustle or create work for themselves like Nigerians can and don't have the discipline and cultural temperance of same. Moreover, South African blacks are disadvantaged by appearing to have an uncompromising Blame Others mentality as well as jealousy - all infertile traits dangerous and lethal in adults. South Africa will face major crises soon if leadership does not acknowledge that they have a massive problem and continue to let it seem as if Nigerians and others are at fault.

Because now it seems everyone is all up in their feelings & not thinking straight. I agree with you on the last past though, it is becoming too much & this is coming from "the enemy camp". However, emotional detachment is vital when things get to this point, reason most of us (South Africans) don't even care what you're planning to do to South African companies in your country. Because at the end of the day, the dust will settle & everyone will start wishing they've acted differently.
