Thanks zaynie

zaynie:

For me , girls at 4 months and boys, 5 months for sitting. I watch out for when he is ready to sit; he can raise his head from lying face down, neck can be controlled etc . Careful where you place your child to sit so he doesn't have hard falls or bruise his face.
I actually padded a carton of indomie with clothes and it helped.

Me and walker. I wait till baby can stand with support o.
Then walker sets in .

Good luck

Good Morning mamas, nobody answered my question. Can a nursing mother take honey, will it affect her baby?

It wont, you can take honey.

However you should not give honey to a child under 1 yrs old.

Plan ursef and do what u can.
Arrange menu for the house for the week
And plan for baby too.
More imporatntly if u are going to creche.label foods.take as many bottles or plates as possible.get the measurement of food ur baby eats,so u can mointor his food and avoid wastage.

E no easy i tell u.sometimes i just want to remain at work and not come home for the day or jus go for a vacation only me or jus be single n free again..
But some days the stress is worth it.

My baby also had this stooling ish when she was about 4 months old. The poop looks exactly the same way as yours and i decided to stop the formular. On the days i gave only breastmilk she didnt stool as much and that was when i realized that she was reacting to aptamil so i switched to NAN and it stopped. I hope this helps

My baby is 4 months too
And she had even taken injection o as test showed infection...
I was suspecting her food too cos d pupu changed d moment we bought a new pack of aptamil... she had been using aptamil since 2weeks old... i just felt its d aptamil thats bad. I dumped it n got another one. A different batch number and all.
Dunno o.
should i go back to nan1? Or is 4months their shitty shitty time.

Hello Mamas in the house.
Please my ds is 1yr &4 months but has not started walking. He cruises around the house looking for things to hold but will not walk unaided. He hs been doing this for over 5 months. His nannies say he is making attempt at the crèche but no attempt at home. They said he was slowed down because of his sickness (he was sick for like a month: dysentery + hernia surgery + dysentery).
I was told I should be worried only when he's 18 months, but that is just at d corner, please I'm over worried already. What can I do to encourage him.

Sorry for d long epistle. Cc alphahandmaiden, soonest, zaynie and every mamas

Hmmmm
Its not easy o... i was already crying n thinking of how to cope with my bank job until God gave me something else d day my girl clocked 3months.
Infact i leave home 9 or 10 sef. And i get back b4 4 after picking her from creche.
But even at that its hectic.
Cos the things to do are much.
Take care of todays mess n prep 4 tomorrow then more annoying is cooking 4 d family n bedroom duties. Lol.
I have no help but my kid bro is here n he is an angel in disguise
my hubby, He loves cooking but shame will not allow me leave food for him.so i do what i can.

What i will advise.... every night get ready 4 the next day.
Like pacl bags n all.
I also pump at night or immediately i get back from work as i am so full then freeze. When i wake i bring it out so it would defrost by d time she gets to creche.

I wash cloths at night too.
Wash bottles at night
Sterilize at night.
The only thing i do in d morining is bath d 2 of us n dress up
I know when she starts eating food like rofemiguwas babe.... o boi.
I still dont know how i will do it...

God dey sha.

sharing my experience
good eveng mothers. my 6mnths plus baby had temp and his doc recommended Zinat 5mls twice daily. after preparing d syrup my sisters I gave him 2 full spoons thinkng a spoon is 2.5mls. 2 days after my boy became very weak and inactive. he began to sleep like ....... inshort I realised dt i have been giving 10mls at once making a total 20mls per day as against the 10 mls recommended. pls lets look at d spoons dt come along wt our drugs the calibrations can sometimes be deceiving.
thank God I was able to detect ontime if not it would v been anodr story

He he he ... all na preparation.
I get her nursery bag ready the night before - includes her diapers ( i use cloth) and spare clothing.

I also get her dinner out from the freezer, or i bring out the dry ingredients if cooking from scratch.

Bring out her clothes for the next day.

My alarm is set for 6 am, but anytime between 4:45 and 6 am i wake up i just have a shower, dress partly, and go back to snooze. .

Wake up a bit later and get dd ready. Drop her off at nursery and head to work. - she has all her meals at nursery.

Pick her up at btween 17:30 and 18:00 . Get home, warm up some milk for her...throw all my ingriedients into my steamer set timer for 30 mins.

Give her milk while i do a quick prep of family dinner. I try to make stews, soups etc at the weekend so during the week its basic rice, pasta, yam etc.

While her food is warming up or cooking i give her a bath, and dress her up for bed, hen she has her dinner. And plays about abit. She sits with us for our own dinner and usually by 8:30 we retire to bed. After she has slept i sort out her nursery bag- remove dirty clothes/diapers and the whole routine starts again.

The first few weeks will be tough as you try out different routines, but you will find the ones that work for you.

My own policy is that i cant kill myself. Life is for the living. If i am ill, i wont kill myself to go to work.

The day i am too tired and dont know what to cook i tell hubby to buy food home or we drink garri je je.

If i cook and forget to add salt, just be polite, take salt and put in your food quietly.

House cleaning na ad hoc mode. If i clean one window today, i will wash toilet 3 days later, sink will be another day and the bath tub na the next week. Hubby helps with the cleaning and does the living room and whole house vacuuming, when necessary.

I dont do super woman - i WILL WAIT till hubby is free to go major food shopping. by the time he stops seeing proper meat in his food and start seeing sardine.... he will make time to carry me shopping. Lol

Mama relax ok! So far he's cruising then no cause for alarm. He will walk just that fear no wan gree am. You can get him a walker to settle your mind so that you can have the satisfaction that you are helping him. But with or without it, he will walk. Is at 18months that it's termed delayed, requiring a visit to the doctor. So relax ok
