Jokerman: Unfortunately brown roof is the most conspicuous. I actually know you guys are comparing with "rusty" sheets which are kinda a landmark of ancientness which we are proud of. Aba is a busy and bustling town, I was surprised too on two occasions while passing by on my way to Calabar. It didn't bear any resemblance to what I have read about in the Media. But sorry, I prefer even Abakaliki (I am not a commercial person, so don't strike me down..lol) 2 Likes |

fashionale: yes we know the roads in aba are not in good shape and its not all any way. but that does not remove the fact that aba is a developed city by Nigerian standard. The roads dont develop the city, it is the level of real estate development which translate to economic development. Good roads enhance development.. that is why you see that forest in igbo land are fast turning to subhubs which in time government will remember them and develop their roads. igbos don't wait for government.... we enter forest, conquer it then government come in... there are many towns and villages in the southwest with very good and motorable road but are economically and socially dead, backwards and dormant 10 Likes |

I said this yrs ago that Aba and Umuahia remain two most planned cities in Nigeria. Their grids or streets alignment is just like what you see in America, Australia, Canada. I mean, perfect grids! The city just needs infrastructure and it will be dope! Aba, Umuahia and Enugu planning is a testament to the taste and advanced city planning of Biafran Government led by Ojukwu! 11 Likes |
