chimaobinelson:

with due respect all this ur findings are reason why u must cherrish the gospel as Truth.
remember its a written account of what had happened by different people, and not what few people stay at one confinement and putup hence dea different reports dint have to tally word to word. E.g, mathew may say, "judas bought a land with d proceed before he killed himself" Acts said "thoze elders were the ones that bought the land" .the truth a man of wisdom should decipher is "A land was bought, which has alot to do with judas and his betrayal proceed".!!
Again, Yes paul said "the twelve" witness Jesus reappearance,u forgot d appostles replaced judas with som1 else "Mathias".
Please bro,i dnt know u or what u plan to achiev with all these, but for ur life sake "DONT ARGUE THE BIBLE" !!!

Do you know how the name Palestine came about.
I suppose if you knew you would not speak thus.

Demmzy15:
How can this be a pilgrimage to Israel when virtually all the cities there are Palestinian cities? At times the way many Christians behave ehn?

Bethlehem is a Palestinian city with a Muslim majority and Christian minority population. The mayor is a Christian Arab.

Nazareth, though occupied by Israel is an Arab city with Muslims making up the majority.

Hebron also is a Palestinian city.

Jericho is also a Palestinian city.

Really wish Nigerian Christians should open their eyes to see the monster the State of Israel is.

Well for your info Palestine was the name given to that area by the Romans when they conquered it.
The British chose to call the land they mandated Palestine, and the Arabs picked it up as their nation's supposed ancient name, though they couldn't even pronounce it correctly and turned it into Falastin a fictional entity." — Golda Meir quoted by Sarah Honig, Jerusalem Post, 25 November 1995

Palestine has never existed . . . as an autonomous entity. There is no language known as Palestinian. There is no distinct Palestinian culture. There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, etc.

Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of one percent of the landmass. But that's too much for the Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what the fighting in Israel is about today . . . No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough. — from "Myths of the Middle East", Joseph Farah, Arab-American editor and journalist, WorldNetDaily, 11 October 2000

How Did the Land of Israel Become "Palestine"?
In the First Century CE, the Romans crushed the independent kingdom of Judea. After the failed rebellion of Bar Kokhba in the Second Century CE, the Roman Emperor Hadrian determined to wipe out the identity of Israel-Judah-Judea. Therefore, he took the name Palastina and imposed it on all the Land of Israel. At the same time, he changed the name of Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina.

The Romans killed many Jews and sold many more in slavery. Some of those who survived still alive and free left the devastated country, but there was never a complete abandonment of the Land. There was never a time when there were not Jews and Jewish communities, though the size and conditions of those communities fluctuated greatly.

Pastafarian:
When was Jesus born?

According to Matthew, Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the Great (Matthew 2:1 ). According to Luke, Jesus was born during the first census in Israel, while Quirinius was governor of Syria ( Luke 2:2 ). This is impossible because Herod died in March of 4 BC and the census took place in 6 and 7 AD, about 10 years after Herod's death.

Some Christians try to manipulate the text to mean this was the first census while Quirinius was governor and that the first census of Israel recorded by historians took place later. However, the literal meaning is "this was the first census taken, while Quirinius was governor ..." In any event, Quirinius did not become governor of Syria until well after Herod's death.

Where was Jesus Born?

Both Matthew and Luke say that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Matthew quotes Micah 5:2 to show that this was in fulfillment of prophecy. Actually, Matthew misquotes Micah (compare Micah 5:2 to Matthew 2:6 ). Although this misquote is rather insignificant, Matthew's poor understanding of Hebrew will have great significance later in his gospel.

Luke has Mary and Joseph travelling from their home in Nazareth in Galilee to Bethlehem in Judea for the birth of Jesus (Luke 2:4 ). Matthew, in contradiction to Luke, says that it was only after the birth of Jesus that Mary and Joseph resided in Nazareth, and then only because they were afraid to return to Judea ( Matthew 2:21-23 ).

In order to have Jesus born in Bethlehem, Luke says that everyone had to go to the city of their birth to register for the census. This is absurd, and would have caused a bureaucratic nightmare. The purpose of the Roman census was for taxation, and the Romans were interested in where the people lived and worked, not where they were born (which they could have found out by simply asking rather than causing thousands of people to travel).

JUDAS!

Thirty pieces of silver
According to Matthew 26:15 , the chief priests "weighed out thirty pieces of silver" to give to Judas. There are two things wrong with this:

a. There were no "pieces of silver" used as currency in Jesus' time - they had gone out of circulation about 300 years before.

b. In Jesus' time, minted coins were used - currency was not "weighed out."

By using phrases that made sense in Zechariah's time but not in Jesus' time Matthew once again gives away the fact that he creates events in his gospel to match "prophecies" he finds in the Old Testament.

Who bought the Field of Blood?
a. In Matthew 27:7 the chief priests buy the field.

b. In Acts 1:18 Judas buys the field.

How did Judas die?

a. In Matthew 27:5 Judas hangs himself.
b. In Acts 1:18 he bursts open and his insides spill out.

c. According to the apostle Paul, neither of the above is true. Paul says Jesus appeared to "the twelve" after his resurrection. Mark 14:20 makes it clear that Judas was one of the twelve.
In Matthew 19:28 , Jesus tells the twelve disciples, including Judas, that when Jesus rules from his throne, they will sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

How did the Field of Blood get its name?

a. Matthew says because it was purchased with blood money ( Matthew 27:6-8 ).

b. Acts says because of the bloody mess caused by Judas' bursting open (Acts 1:18-19 ).

I came to see Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my Faith. I also came to learn about the long running Israel Palestine Conflicts and the history of this super interesting region. We'll be here for 8days visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Hebron, Negev, Sderot, Ramallah, Haifa and Jericho.

I've seen the Birthplace of Jesus (The Church of the Nativity) in Bethlehem and his Crucifix and Tomb (The Holy Sepulchre) in Jerusalem. Visited the Aida Refugee Camp and others in the West Bank and will see the Israeli Palestinian Borders. Jesus, Take this Wheel over.

Do you know that Jesus was born, lived, and died In old age(though crucified truly), Jesus was able to escape crucifixion, left his enemy, went to another town to preach the Gospel to others.Died at an old age like normal human being, he born children, had wife like normal person. When the church around my house shouts of Jesus to come and throw fire to their enemies, I shake my head for them in pity.

Even the Bible made it clear that Isreal don't have original land of their own.
All the land, they are occupying is ceased land.
From their exodus from Egypt, they started confronting and conquering Palestinians like Jericho and the rest of them.
These all happened because God was with them.
And He[God] is the one that promised them that land.
The promise was made to Abraham [Ibrahim ], their great grandfather.
At a time, the Jews and Arabs lived side by side.
Till Isreali declared war and started conquering and ceasing lands.
From the way they [Isrealis]defeated the Arab states of Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon during the Isreal/Arab war, it tells much that surely God is with them.
The Isrealis will continue to have dominion over Palestinians as far as the Lord is still with them.
Where was your God when Europeans were slaughtering the Jews for more than 1000 years? Where was your God when the Nazi killed 6 million Jews? Was Israel in existence then? I need you answer this questions.

The Arab States aren't as broken as those years, you saw how Egypt surprised Israel in 1973 to the extent Israel thought they had been defeated not until America sent in supplies. Without the help of America, Israel is a dead meat and know that America won't always be there.

These are places that the Arabs forcefully took over because the Jews who rightfully own these places had been driven out of Judea which is their homeland.
The Jews were driven out 70AD, how does that concern the Palestinians who were descendants of the Jews who remained there when others left?

Palestinians are not the descendants of the Jews who remained. They do not speak Hebrew or Aramaic, they speak Arabic. They are the descendants of the Arabs who began mass migrations into parts of the Arabian Peninsular and the whole of North Africa.

1. The Palestinians were not responsible for the driving out of Jews from Palestine, so you have no right to kill, maim and displace them.

2. No doubt that there were Arabs but majority are Jews and Christians who remained. Greek was spoken in Egypt when Muslims came in and today, that's no more. Syria was part of the Roman/Byzantine Empire and today that's non-existent, so language isn't a case you can drag about.

All the historical evidence points to Israel being the aboriginal inhabitants of the land. All the ancient artifacts and historical relics speak of a Jewish past, so the modern day nation of Israel is built on the foundations of the Ancient Kingdom of Israel. The same Kingdom mentioned in the Torah and the Old Testament.

The couldn't pronounce it because there's no "p" sound in Arabic and this is replaced with "f" or "b". Just pointless!

Palestine has never existed . . . as an autonomous entity.

I don't understand what you mean mehn, just lame.

There is no language known as Palestinian.

Is there anything like Israeli language? sad

There is no distinct Palestinian culture.

There are unique Palestinian dishes, clothings, dances, etc.

There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, etc.

They are different from other Arabs as this is evident from their Arabic dialects, cuisine, clothing.

Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of one percent of the landmass.

So that justifies besieging, maiming, killing and starving of Palestinians thereby killing thousands? angry

But that's too much for the Arabs.

Who are you to decide that?

They want it all. And that is ultimately what the fighting in Israel is about today . . . No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough. — from "Myths of the Middle East", Joseph Farah, Arab-American editor and journalist, WorldNetDaily, 11 October 2000

Many Parameters have really worked to their [Isreal]benefits , they might not be strong enough to confront their enemies. From their persecution in Egypt to the Holocaust in Germany and several others that happened in the ancient Roman, Ottoman, Assyrian and MedoPersian empire.
But cuz, their help comes from God, He will always turn things around to their favour.
Isrealites hv recorded the highest number of wars in history. If you do read the Bible, u will see historical documentation of the ways Isreal have been captured in war by Ancient Babylonians and Assyrians.
They hv been, killed, maimed, captured and taken to slavery on several occasions, yet they hv bounced back stronger.
Here they are!
I think, no one can stop them except God wills.
It's a promise from God to Abraham that He will make his descendants a great nation.
I have once philosophized like you.
I hv been an atheist to some extent.
Yes, some of the things happening here on earth can cause you to doubt and question the existence of God at times.
But, surely He do exist.
Before now, He knew that man will get to the technological feats we hv these days. He is the one that embedded the minerals securely beneath the earth and gave man the wisdom to continue with the rest of the exploitation.
But many things convinced me that God really do exist.
God is Alive, Not Dead.
I'm not as a result of Evolution, I'm designed by an intelligent Being, likewise you.
Plants, Animals, Humans and the Universe are designed by the Supreme being.
He is like a Mystery, u can't really comprehend him if u keep philosophising.
He is Metaphysical.
He is beyond Science.
Science can't explain true Prophesies
Science can't explain Vision/revelations .
Science can't explain Miracle.
