As regards to visa thingy, in my side of 9ja, traveling to SA is like going to another town. I was in the visa application centre in abuja where they collect visas for South Africa and some EU countries. Meen those applying to go to Soith Africa was the highest. In fact the number was so much that they dont take more than 100 applications each day. On that dau, by 10:00am they had already gotten the 100 applications. I have stayed in Mozambique for 2-3 weeks, the country is very nice, welcoming, but their Police disturbs foreigners for Papers, especially if your black .

On South Africa, I have been never really been there, just only slept a day, due to transit/stopover/flights issues.

But, what I read and hear is not favorable, if not that I'm science-oriented and a logical person, I would have written off South Africa based on media perception and influence, but I believe there are other nice things about SA, aside Xenophobia.

But literally speaking, I will not advise my family members to even step foot inside South Africa

South Africa is better than Nigeria is some aspects, while Nigeria is better is some aspects, this is normal.
Even Nigeria is better than USA in some aspects. No country has it all.

A quick example, South Africa has more prevalence, incidence and mortality rate in HIV/AIDS than Nigeria.

Nigeria on the other hand has lower Electricity generation, infrastructural decay than South Africa

Not all south Africans hate / slaughter Nigerians. I've witnessed one myself when I was in Jo'burg and I wept, I couldn't believe what I've just saw and I prayed not to ever see such cruelty with my own bare eyes ever again. South Africa is big, from the village that I grew up on, we do have Nigerians but we don't mistreat them or plot violence against them. The people who are slaughtering Nigerians are Zulu people(I'm not saying all of them) but the violence against immigrants is mostly instigated by them. They tend to be heartless and they lack empathy for other people so don't generalise all of south Africans. I'm not bias and I know my family isn't either, I don't see other people inhuman just because of their background status or how dark/fair they are....
