If you do not have money , best to stay in Nigeria ..... This is not the time to be stranded abroad and fall out of status . That is one area Trump administration is not playing . People living illegally are deported left and right

if you dont have money , Then do your undergrad in Nigeria . it cheaper and if you are really serious about schooling abroad then when u are doing your first degree in Nigeria , make sure your grades are all up there from beginning so you can aim for scholarship at the master level

Thank you!

What did you use for admission processing? Official or unofficial transcript?? Cos I've never heard of/ seen an unclear official transcript.
About not sure of where to send your official transcript, have you got admissions from all 3 schools??

This forum sha! I don't think there has ever been any month devoid of fights. When would Nigerians learn! The annoying thing is that a lot of us on this forum are in diaspora and we have experienced different cultures. Each time i read ignorant and vain posts on this thread, i am utterly bewildered. Some are unnecessarily arrogant, and others type before they think.
what baffles me all the time is whether, or not, there is need for all these grandiloquence. Well, based on logistics, anyone coming to University of North Texas this Fall should Hit me up. Make me sef give back small as my aunty, Lagosismyhome and my boss, GboyegaD don do for me grin.

Hope say you go tire for mentioning my name one day. Anyways, enjoy Denton and its environs.

Good morning from here
I was given admission as a post baccalaureate student and on my i20 I have a duration of one year on it, which is the time am suppose to use in completing the foundation courses, but when I spoke to my supervisor who also happened to be deputy dean of the business school, she said I am only taking only 4 courses which would be more or less taken in one semester, on admission letter from business school as well I have it well written on it that I have been admitted for MBA, and on school admission letter I have it on it that I have been admitted into the school MBA , but subject to me completing the foundation class, I was given schorlaship as well,
Now my question is am about filling my DS-160 form, how many years of stay in USA shld I fill in it ? A year for the post baccalaureate studies or 2 years for completion of the MBA programme
Honest opinion please , criticism welcome too lool
Thanks

If your I-20 states one year, then you put one year. How do you want the VO to believe you would make it to the normal year when you haven't even done the foundational class? Even the school don't guarantee you admission until you pass the foundational. So your year as it stands now is 1, then let them know you will continue to the normal year after this. Just a question, why do you want to settle for this kind of admission when you will likely get an unconditional admission elsewhere?

Ok thanks for the advise, but in my faculty admission letter was told I have been fully admitted for the MBA programme, moreover looking the school curriculum, they offering a course I have been wanting to study for a long time, unlike other school who doesn't add this course to their list of courses, moreover I was given schorlaship as well, reasons am thinking of giving it a trial, [s]moreover the business school is AACSB accredited
Which is the highest business school accreditation body in Us and world as whole[/s]

Just remove this last line totally from any conversation you're going to have at the embassy. It's a deal breaker.

On my admission letter I have it there that I have be fully admitted anyway I could attached and attached to your inbox so that you can go through it and understand what am saying , and reason why I wanna give the school trial is because I was given schorlarshi, which would also increase when I join the proper MBA class
Thanks

This reason is better and solid. About your admission letter, do as you wish but ready to explain yourself very well without blabbing when the question pops up. Best!

Im confused as to why you're getting so hyper defensive. I used the term "legitimately" deliberately. If you live here 5 years or more and you fall in love with an American, is that pay to play? Should you be forced to go back to Nigeria to find a spouse? Your anecdote is just that, an anecdote. My brother has been happily married 7 years with 1 kid, my best friend - 7 years with 2 kids, a good school mate - 5 years with 2 kids. Just because you're surrounded with crooks does not mean the rest of us are interested in bending the rules for immigration benefits. I don't have people throwing such in my face, they wouldn't dare... and most of them are professionals who don't need it, you'd be best advised to change your circle.

Again like I have previously said you are so "professional" but spend your professional hours roaming around the travel section.

The wind is blowing and this President will cut short the mindset of people like you that are tweaking the system and taking illegal advantage of it.

Had similar issue. One school sent me a mail that the grade of a particular course looks unclear. I had to get my school to scan and send the school a copy via email.

Hmm,
Hope you know that Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business at Murray State University is unranked by USNews. MBA is a program undertaken by people with different undergraduate programs such as engineering, medicine, law, history, economics etc. You dont need prerequisite courses to enroll in an MBA. The only prerequisite you need is an undergraduate degree. The fact that the school is subjecting you to taking prerequisites coupled with the unranked nature of the school is a no-no for me. Why go through the stress of taking prerequisites when there are lots of programs you can enroll and start without prerequisites?

Dont be carried away by the AACSB accreditation. Top business schools have triple accreditation including AACSB

Sigh
Can you suggest some schools that make use of GRE alone without TOEFL For their MBA programme, moreover it's MBA I really want to do for some reasons best known to me, moreover what do you advise I do? Should I let go of the schorlaship and look for another school for fall admission? This was the message I received from deputy dean of faculty when I asked about the foundation courses
''I answered this question already, but to review, Murray State wants our own courses completed at the foundations level instead of taking courses from other universities from across the globe. An accounting course in Finland or Nigeria, for example, will be very different from a U.S.-based accounting course to get you ready for the ACC 604 course that you'll have in the MBA program''

Bros calm down... Your blood too hot! No go do gra gra enter pit (God forbid!)

1. A large number of business schools accept GMAT and GRE... Though, GMAT is preferred.
2. I see the scholarship is the main reason you really want to attend this school. I can understand your reason but have you asked yourself what if you are not offered scholarship when you enroll for the main MBA program? Have you thought about that?
3. Alot of business schools that are ranked higher than MSU offer scholarships. You just have to calm down and search for them
4. Let me remind you again, MBA has no prerequisites! This is the first time I'm hearing about this... A large number of engineering, medicine, history students with no knowledge of finance or accounting offer MBA and they are not required to take prerequisites.
5. My advise is for you to calm down, get a good test score (assuming yours is not top notch), take TOEFL, and look for good business schools to apply where you can get full scholarship and funding.

Goodluck fam!
