My sister, the handwashing is my problem lol. But will try it this time. By the way i think the baby care setting on my machine ruined them. The thing will wash with 90° water and then spin and spin for minutes. I realized late. I still love all out outing wears though. I got a lot of those for different ages.

Is Gerber product good? I saw them in walmart and they were very cheap but i felt a cereal brand doing wears will be a fail, lol.

So I tot about gerber product so I just bought 2 sets of 5 body suit. Its very good cos my lo uses it more cos its light and the heat in Najia is no joke. But carter is the bomb. But dollar wahala didnt allow me buy so much. The carter I saw in the market in Najia is igbo made. Its spelt cartar very fake but sold same price.

Carry the pack or you buy the one that has about 30 or so just for hospital use. Cos u don't know how much diapers you will need.

To the glory of God we were blessed with a very beautiful girl today.

I went from a closed cervix on Friday morning to having a baby on Saturday at 10am. Baby was born vaginally with very little tear that was closed in one stitch.

I will share birth story later. My entire family is grateful for this bundle of joy. Baby was born 4 5 days early.

Experienced mamas, second, third and fourth time moms which edd is more accurate scan edd or lmp edd. The scan center I am using hasnt given me a different edd from lmp. I am am using lmp edd to make plans, also having in mind that baby can come anytime from 37wks to 41, plus my Lo measures a week ahead.

(I'd just have to rush through this bs else I'd never do it. I'd have a more detailed version in my diary later)

So we got to the hospital and I was still trying to go through the normal routine of seeing a doctor when one nurse saw me trying to manage one contraction and asked if that was a contraction. I said yes and she quickly rushed me to one of the nearby treatment rooms where she got a doctor to check me. The doctor said I was 5cm.

Maybe it was the supernatural childbirth I read the night before but the contractions really weren't bad. It gave me enough time to recover in between and I used that time to chat on nairaland and all my social media.

They later took me upstairs to one room with other patients. Each patient was partitioned by a curtain. They assigned a nurse to me then two midwives came. They were laughing because the doctor told them that I was a first time mum and 5cm. They were kinda saying it sarcastically as if they were sure the doctor didn't check me well. One of them now proceeded to check and she screamed 'Jesus shes's 6cm, and she's not making a sound'.

Soon after that the contractions got harder. When they hit, I'd stand up and hold one cupboard thing in the room or I'd kneel and clutch the bed and when they left I'd climb back on the bed and continue chatting on my phone. I just wasn't finding the contractions to be that unbearable cuz all I had to do was clutch something and wait for relieve.

Soon after that I started feeling nauseous and they gave me a bowl to throw up in. I hadn't had breakfast so I was throwing up what looked like my stomach acids. The nurse said if I continued that way I won't have energy for delivery. So she put me on a drip.

After that a doctor that was on rounds came around and said he was gonna check me. As soon as he put his hand and started to check, my water broke and the whole bed was flooded. They brought one plate thingy and tried to collect the water from soaking the bed . He said I was 6-7cm dilated and he said 'don't worry, everything would speed up from here'.

He then asked the nurse to add some oxytocin to my drip. I heard oxytocin and my ears stood up. The popular hot drip that have driven many mamas before me crazy. That was when my 'supernatural delivery' faith that was working so well for me flew out the window and fear took over'. For some reason the only thing I could think about from then was Ahnie's birth story that I read long ago where I think she grabbed her drip stand and ran outside naked .

As soon as the doctor left, the nurse brought a different drip and I started telling her 'please don't put me on that thing'. I really didn't see the need for the oxytocin tho. I thought it was for people that weren't dilating fast enough. I had only been at the hospital 4 hours and had just 3cm more to go. The nurse seemed to agree with me and went and called the midwife who asked her to hold on to it just a little.

@Jesufifunmi Gerber baby wears are bae! I got some for lo though pricey but I loved the quality. The neck doesn't slack and its colour remained true after several washes and usage plus stains get off very easily than other brands I got. Contrary to your own fears I.was very confident they will.make.good.baby wear as they are already into other baby stuffs.

Then out of nowhere I started shivering uncontrollable. I was sweating and I was shivering like it was winter.

Oh before this I forgot to mention that hubby was back with the bags and he was in the room with me saying opposite of everything I say. When I say 'Nurse please don't put that drip' he would say 'Nurse you don't have to listen to her, put the drip if it would help her' like nigga whose side are you on.

So when I started shivering, the nurse put off the fan and AC. I was like I'm not cold pls put on the fan, she did and hubby was like 'But she's shivering, put off the fan'. They checked my blood pressure and it was going high and higher. The contractions were getting way closer together, giving me no breathing space. That was when the real drama started.

went to the hospital on Friday night and it was actually false labor, doctor kept insisting 36weeks while scan is saying 38weeks... my cervix is closed and baby never engage.... I am kind of worried but I know all is well.

The contractions were not giving me breathing space again. I was groaning in tongues that cannot be interpreted in human language . The nurses were like 'stop screaming your strength away, you would need it for delivery'. As if that's what I was thinking at that point.

I wanted to kneel down or stand during the contractions but the nurses won't let me ägain cuz they said my baby might fall out as if it's that easy.

Having to lie down through that pain was just indescribably hard. I was pulling my hair so hard. The midwife was telling me 'if you need to pull something, pull the window or the bed, you would injure yourself if you keep pulling your hair'. I tried grabbing the iron at the head of the bed but it was so cold and lifeless that I left it and grabbed the midwife. Lol after that she let me grab my hair in peace.

Hubby was just sitting there like a helpless onlooker. He had tried to touch me several times but I was screaming 'don't touch me' at everyone both doctor, midwife, husband. I heard them tell the nurse to put the oxytocin and get me ready for the theatre.

I couldn't even protest again cuz I heard theatre and I was happy the crazy pain would soon be over. They made me get down and we walked to the theatre. When we got there on doctor was working on some woman's vagina and she was screaming, the screaming both scared and irritated me. They told my hubby to stay out cuz there was another woman in the theatre. He seemed relieved to go.

They made me climb a table then asked me to hold my ankles, look at my navel and push when there's a contraction. They then went and called my hubby and said I wasn't co-operating. That one came and was saying 'baby you are doing so good, just cooperate it would soon be over'.

I was screaming 'Tell them to untie me, if they untie me, I'd cooperate' . He asked them to unstrap my legs and they did. They then repeated that I should hold my ankles, look at my navel and push at the next contraction. In my mind I was like how would I manage all these instructions in the midst of this crazy pain.
