These monkeys are always embarrassing themselves! No U.S court has jurisdiction over matters such as these as long as it did not happen on U.S soil and does not involve U.S citizens, I could understand International Criminal Court but a U.S district court, pathetic!

amaechi2020:
A United States (U.S.) District Court for the District of Columbia has granted leave to 10 Biafran plaintiffs to sue Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, and 13 others for complicity in the 2016 torture and extra-judicial killings under colour of Nigeria law to retaliate for peaceful Biafran protests against ethnic or religious oppression.

Brought under the Torture Victims Protection Act and Alien Tort Claims Act Complaint, the plaintiffs are seeking millions of dollars as damages to compensate for their grievous losses and suffering.

The suit, John Doe, et al vs. Tukur Yusuf Buratai et al, with Civil Action No. 1:17-cv-01033, has been assigned to United States District Judge Ellen S. Huvelle, who was appointed by President William Jefferson Clinton.
The court further ruled that the “plaintiffs alleged that identifying plaintiffs or decedents would expose them, their families and relatives to an intolerable risk of death or serious bodily injury at the hands of defendants or the Government of Nigeria.”

Counsel to the plaintiffs, Attorney Bruce Fein of Fein & DelValle PLLC, and W. Bruce DelValle, said, among others: “This landmark lawsuit is about justice and the rule of law coming to rescue Igbo, Biafrans and their political supporters who are persecuted, because of their Christian religion, ethnicity and political viewpoints since Nigeria’s independence from its colonial master Great Britain in October 1960.”

This is not the type of litigation I'm hoping for.
They shudnt sue for money. They shud ve place it in terms of humans right. U no, USA is against any country that traumatize its citizen and against humans right. This will have brought Nigeria govet to book.

When did US turned to UN? This order can't not stay, it is like a sovereign society challenging another sovereign society or how will it sound for a law court here in Nigeria to sue a minister of US. You guys rejoicing to check your source well and if it is true, then I think US is going beyond their powers.

But on a more serious note, this court and lawyer just won collect those guys money grin grin

Does this court has the jurisdiction to try human rights abuse?
This should be better filed at the International Court of Justice.

The most gullible set of people I've encountered are the Ipob youths. So easy to brainwash and it is needless arguing with them. Absolute waste of time.

And the claim they are the smartest people on earth. Infact, so smart they bought Biafra passport with Nigerian money and intend to use the passport to travel through Nigerian airport to other parts of the world.

Can't you see how irredeemably gullible they are?

It is just a pity.

Like seriously, you can just imagine a court of another country suing another country's official because some of the official's country citizens reported him to them. It is not just logical and some people will swallow this hook, sinker and line.

Thank God!
The zoo army is going down!
Once the case is ruled in favour of Biafra then the world would acknowledge the atrocities being carried out on the Igbo's and more international support and recognition would be given to the struggle.
Lots of videos and evidence abound on the zoo army harrising and killing innocent biafrains!
This is a lovely day for justice
Indeed the long arm of the law shall catch up with evil doers no matter how long it takes.

All hail Biafra
Igbo Amaka!

But I don't understand. Will he be repatriated to face trial, or will the trial be in absentia?

And if he's found guilty, will he be repatriated to serve punishment, or will it be here in Nigeria?

Forget it bro, that US court is just after their money nothing else. They have no power in such capacity.
