7days from their website but it's advisable to do 3days to because of any thing that might occur e.g flight rescheduling

@nefertitiram, please i need your guidance

Please I was granted a B1/B2 visa in 2016 and i already travelled with it. I just found out im pregnant and considering going back to give birth in the US since i still have a one year one valid visa and im considering goinf to chicago for cost reasons. Please i need someone to assist with the following questions

Do i still need to send a letter of intent? Please like how much should i budget for hospital bills and accomodation to avoid any surprises.

Thanks alot
You dont need it since u have used your visa for the purpose it was issued to you,.But some people still prefer to send it and receive the normal response for formality sake, should incase the question of "did u inform the embassy" arises at the POE,then u can have something to show, to avoid stories that touches the Heart.,Because all these people speaking long grammar here cannot save u at the POE,.better be prepared than to be taken unawares. Your budget should depend on the Hospital, doctor u are using and other things u might need during your birthing period, like house accommodation, etc U can budget 10kusd,u might have a big change from this or u might need more USD in case if there is extra charge which might came up as a result of any complication during your childbirth which no one prays for.

I don't know about the one in Atlanta, but Kaiser in sacramento/ Roseville is an highbrow , expensive hospital. They don't even do self pay/ cash stuff[/quote
Thanks. My OB/GYN is under them but affiliated to Piedmont Atlanta, and I'm using Piedmont Atlanta. So far, all the tests I've done there, i have self-paid, cos they now have a rate for non-members and it is quite more affordable than the rate I was given at northpointe ob/GYN. I had Ultrasound scan done there today for 45 dolls cos I'm uninsured and northpointe's quote was 120 dolls and North metro was 150. So far great services, but I just really wanna know what d delivery cost will be for non-members (uninsured) cos I was told it depends on the services rendered during Labour and delivery. And that has got me confused.

Emm uncle Twoods.. are you in my mind? I was not even Pregnant as at the time i got the visa oooooo or more like I got the visa before i even suspected a thing. so it was indeed for my normal vacation waka waka... You dont have to sound like everyone is a fraud or again maybe im just sensitive and that was not what you meant.

My exact thoughts... Why does Twoods think everybody is lying? His usual rude responses are getting tiring. @Twoods can you please ignore people you think are lying than wasting comment space with your usual sarcastic responses.

Please how long does it take an approved visa to be issued after interview in Lagos? Mine was approved last Friday and I was told to pick it up by Wednesday this week by the person who interviewed me. It's still saying its with the consulate and I've booked my trip for this weekend already. It only takes about 2 days in Abuja, this is almost a week! And Monday and Tuesday are public holidays.
Does anyone know how I can fast track it or if this is even possible. The way the guy said pick up on Wednesday I didn't think it was possible it might not be ready o

I use to have a dom account and dollar master card with gtb years back and the practice then was after depositing dollar in your dom account you will have to transfer what you want to the mastercard for your card use, that was how we did it back then, don't know it it's still so

Even you self know it's awkward booking your flight when you have not gotten your passport. Did the US Ambassador guarantee you your passport will come out before your travel date and you had confidence to go and pay for ticket?
In as much as I hate how Twoods responds to people, but you people give him the reason to talk to you people anyhow. Just look at this case, and you have mouth to talk jump and pass. You for sharp mouth like this for VO make e give you your passport on the day of interview as you don already book your flight to obodoyingbo naa

Unless you have an urgent meeting to attend, I would advise you change your trip depature by at least 1 week or max 2 weeks, so that you don't lose your ticket money and to ensure you have collected your passport. Wish you the best.

@Mamacajah: Thanks. I do have an urgent reason I bought it, though I can't discuss it here. I've opened the departure date on the ticke with the travel agent though, so I can rebook it when I've received the passport.
Hmm this one that you're saying one or two weeks I guess it's the norm then, wow. It's well. I pray it comes out early enough. Thanks for your response.

Okay, that's fine then. Sometimes the passport comes out early, sometimes late, depending on the workload at the embassy. This been summer rush period, it might take the amount of time I specified -based on my experience, though.
