I beg to differ for the following reasons:

1. F1 student visa interviews did not start last week. They've been in existence long before some of us were born... ergo a mock interview is no guarantee of visa success.

2. There is no reliable statistics to indicate that success level significantly increases with a mock interview.

3. A mock interview is not needed if you're truthful and a bonafide student. The questions asked simply pertain to your selected school, major and career plans. You only need a mock for prepared (usually false) answers.

4. VOs are highly trained to spot canned answers.

Bottom line, there is zero benefit to mock interviews.

Good mng, pls I want to pursue my phd in industrial chemisty in USA, pls is it a must I write GRE to get admitted
NB; I will like to have it on scholarship

If you want to do a PhD and you don't want to write standardized tests. I'd say you shouldn't do the PhD. Even if GRE isn't a must. Because if you're running from standardized tests how will you do thesis? And you also want scholarship without tests for PhD? Okay. I hope you find what you're looking for. Anyways to improve your chances you need a good GRE score.

Can I evaluate with WES without sending to any school? And if later I want to send my transcript from WES to some schools, do I need to evaluate again? I really don't understand the ICAP cos I am about to pay for WES evaluation even tho I have not applied for any school yet

for novice like us.

HBCU- Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States that were established before 1964 with the intention of primarily serving the African American community. They have always allowed admission to students of all races.

Good morning all, Please how can one make payment for sevis fee in Nigeria?

YOU CANT MAKE PAYMENT IN NIGERIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Find someone in the US to pay on your behalf or go to Cotonou to make your payment yourself if you have big trust issues.

Seriously what's the point of evaluation when you don't want to send to any school or employer ? You can order WES to send a copy to your home address and if you decide to send your transcript to 10 or more schools, you don't need to evaluate again. All you just need is to order WES to send a copy of your transcript to those schools. You have to select Course by Course Evaluation, this can save you a lot of stress and headache; you wouldn't like a school to reject your transcript after you've done evaluation . The Course by Course cost $212 .
Send me a PM if you still have issues with WES

brother you shouldn't have changed location to Lagos. Lagos consular are just the same or even more strict than the ones in Abuja. What I think you should do is prepare harder or ask someone for mock interview preparation. Everything is all about God. I believe your visa will be approved. Good luck

Its not any different, like i said before success stories here started way before the mock interview, you don't provide a solution for a non-existing problem

I assume you are speaking from the view of an employee of nairaland and not from the view of the applicant's/stakeholder. Remember, one thing is to read/study for exams and another thing is to practice what you read for better and real-life understanding

Hello house, I plan to book my interview today. Please at what point would I be required to pay the visa fee and what payment option is advised?

I would also appreciate any useful tips in filling my online visa application. I'm applying for masters.

Another thing is, I finished national youth service late 2015 and since then till now, I haven't been "officially" employed. Been job hunting and pursuing some entrepreneurial interests. I fear these VOs may not understand why and it may pose a problem? Thoughts on how best to navigate this, please?
