Backing my bros for what?

They clamoured for an Ibo pastor like Kumuyi to be killed at aba, right?

They had an hateful media named Radio biafra that preached hate against many ethnic groups in Nigeria?

They called some ethnic group "amala" tribe in front of the president like Chief Athur Eze and his fellow eediots did in front of Jonathan?

These are what your folks did, even before tribalism became the norm on nairaland! Yet you would be the first to put on your manipulative cry and play the victim everytime we retaliate. Not forgetting the fact that your lots lied about the events leading to the civil war and what happened in the civil war! That's exactly what am against!

I don't care about the North short changing us because we all know where we at with them but first and foremost, the manipulative hateful liars are whom I should be wary of. I would rather dine with the devil than a treacherous manipulative liar! Got the gist?

Have you forgotten the lagos-ibadan media which spread false news about the Igbos and even lied about what transpired during the civil wars?? Agree to the fact that the Igbos bounced back to set the record straight and to counter the lies which your lots has spewed all over the nation and not the other way round.

Taking responsibility is alien to them They must always pass the buck. It's always someone Else's fault. They shoot the first bullet, when you shoot yours, they complain you didn't first give them anesthetics to kill the pain cheesy

Imagine the albino braggart recanting now and his lapdogs are all over the place in defending him cheesy

You dey mind dem?

They would never learn lesson from each of their tears, they would rather be pointing fingers at people who aint behind their woes. Worst of it, they would lie and turn history on its head to make themselves look good.

What happened to taking responsibility for whatever trouble you caused? That's what makes a man!

Truth is Nigeria will be Nigeria even after everyone here dies and their children die and their children's children ad so on....

All these Biafra, Arewa, Oduduwa, Niger-Delta separation talks are just to pass time...

What is speacial about Nigeria staying together forever.USSR has fragmented and still fragmenting. Many countries in d Middle East r doing that.In Africa Eritrea/Ethopia comes to mind, and what about South sudan?Remember we were seperate groups before Lugard merged us and dont tell me u see Lugard as God.So find out why he amalgamated Nigeria. But wait,i leant the North was prosperous before amalgamation, so is the Kingdom of Benin and the Oduduwa. The Igbos and Ijaws had formidale economic system.Dont u think we can do better if one goes out?i mean both doing better?because it will create competition.

I'm not saying there's anything special, all I'm saying is Nigeria is going to be here for a long time...

It's not going to create any competition..If that healthy competition cannot not be created when we are together, what makes you think it'll be created if we split?

Nice question.Healthy competition will be created.Citizens will agitate for it and the various leaders will work for it.Sometimes we see South Africa as a whiteman's territory, but Ghana's uniterrupted democracy influenced our leaders a bit.so the proximity will create quicker and better competition.

Oga, if you truly want to be honest please do an extensive Google search, and you will see where Kanu called Nigeria a zoo, referred to Northerners as baboons, insulted those who attended churches owned by yoruba pastors, called for the extermination of certain ethnic groups and even solicited for arms to be used against Nigerians. All this your PR efforts here will never work. sad

Most of us had access to his hate speeches from the days of Radio Biafra and witnessed his contempt for other ethnic groups. All what you are doing here is trying to 'whitewash' Kanu's evil rhetoric. undecided We are not that gullible. By the way, did you read the story in these links at all or did you just copy and paste them here, in order to confuse others? shocked Where is Nnamdi Kanu mentioned in any of these stories? It merely talks about an Igbo man sewing clothes for Almajiri children in Kano. Is the man related to Kanu in any way, or was he carrying out his instructions?
ACCEPTING THE SIMILARITIES AND RESPECTING THE DIFFERENCES
This shop with no. 129 is owned by an igbo man in Sabon Gari market in kano, he is the one that is sitting on a chair inside the shop, he is a neighbor to my friend.

Yesterday he gathered 30 children (almajiris) and called a tailor to measure their sizes and take their name’s, tell them to come back on next Saturday and collect new clothes of their respective sizes and wore to celebrate Sallah Eid for Free.

Despite he is a Christian
What an act of kindness
Please let celebrate him.
May Almighty Allah increase his wealth guide him and bless his children.

No one is justifying anyone's doing here.. For me, I come to the forum, see some people bashing my folks and I reply them in coins but then I would see some people calling me a tribalist even when I was only replying to what they dished out!

That's why I stated earlier that I loathe people who are economical with the truth and what I hate the most is revisionism! I hate it when some people lie about history to curry sympathy and in the process, shifts the blame on others. In fact, that's one of the thing that normally irk me the most on here.

Director Of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu Threatens The Whole Of Nigeria With Violence (See Video)

Nnamdi Kanu, the director of heavily controversial radio station, Radio Biafra, is now threatening the whole of Nigeria with violence, a language he claims is the only thing we can understand as a nation. While sitting down to do an interview, he said: "If they fail to give us Biafra, Somalia will look like a paradise compared to what will happen to that zoo. It is a promise, it is a pledge, and it is also a threat to them [Nigerians]"

Then you yourself is actually falling for what you're blaming others of doing.
and when others sees you bashing their tribe will be activated to bash urs and the norm keep going in circles.

history can be patchy at times and people could have a different version of it depending on the narrator. I read the "There's was once a country" by China achebe. I don't know the one you read. and I've head stories from elders.

U weren't born at that time and you didn't experience what actually happen am wondering how you knew which is truth and which is false.

I won't blame you tho' you're actually fighting for the interest of you people same with Kanu. jhux that it's at a different level.

When has Yoruba taken responsibility??

is it oba of Lagos saga?? or the Abraham Ariyo??

You've forgotten the countless times were Yoruba blame Igbo for the various clashes with Hausa-Fulani?? when Igbos when blamed and accused of marauding as Fulani herdsmen and even Boko Haram??

which group has really taken responsibility??

IIRC Oba of Lagos was roundly criticised by the Yorubas to the extent that he had to come out and retract his speech, saying it was a joke but then, did your folks criticise the events leading to Oba Akinolu's statement? Are we supposed to forget that your folks first called Lagos a "no mans" land which led to Oba Akinolu making such statement?

Personally, I don't see what's wrong in Ariyo's statement. His statement was about how the Ibos are always causing troubles everywhere like they did in South Africa and were dealt with but if Lagos deal with them and ask them to pack, they would start to cry... Cut to your Journalist screaming blue murder. The same journalist who failed to criticise your folks calling Ariyo's ancestral land a no man's land before he made such statement!

Moreover, Ariyo never asked for any ibo to be killed! Even the Oba who made the "Lagoon statement" only said that anyone who's against the cultures and the progress of the land will find himself in the lagoon. His only fault was that he was facing the ibo groups in front of him as he spoke.

But let me ask you, did Yoruba take these people as their gods and worship them after they made such statements compared to what the Ibos did with Kanu? Abegi!

In an interview with select journalists in Enugu during the 47th anniversary commemoration of Biafra Day, on May 30, 2014, Kanu projected that by September 30, 2015 Nigeria would cease to exist even as he declared his readiness to fight all the way until Biafra is carved out of Nigeria as a separate republic.

He traced the killings of Igbo people, whom he called the indigenous people of Biafra; in the northern part of the country to the lopsided development and federal superstructure that tended to reward mediocrity to the conspiracy against Igbo, saying that, “injustice makes life unbearable to our people.”

He regretted, for instance, that 47 years after the war, war veterans from the Biafran side had not been paid their allowances like their colleagues, saying; “These men fought under the Coat of Arms of Nigeria. The war broke out and they fought for their country Biafra and they have not been paid. It is a great injustice. It is a continuation of the same injustice that led us to try to extricate ourselves from this Luggard creation called zoological republic of Nigeria. That is why it is very disheartening that you see old men in every blessed month crying and wishing that their money will come to them and nothing happens”.

“As long as the intention and purpose of the amalgamation of North and South were designed to cheat the South,” he went on, “the nation would never move forward, because any country that makes injustice its watch word can never prosper.” ........

He said no amount of national conferences can solve Nigeria’s problems, because of deep-rooted hatred among the different nationalities in the country, adding that the only panacea to Nigeria’s problems is to split it into different regions.

Kanu regretted that despite the declaration of the “No Victor, no Vanquished” outcome of the 30-month Nigeria versus Biafra civil war in 1970, “successive governments had continued to deliberately marginalize and make life unbearable for the Igbo nation and its people”.

While calling on all genuine Igbo people across the globe to rise up and join the crusade of ensuring the emergence of the Biafran Republic, Kanu maintained that it was time for the Igbo to pull out of Nigeria, which according to him is a failed nation where nothing works.

He declared: “There is no going back, by September 2015, Nigeria would have seized to exist; we shall fight until we get Biafra, if they don’t give us Biafra, no human being will remain alive in Nigeria by that time; we shall turn everybody into corpses; you better go and buy your coffins. I wonder how any right thinking fellow would want to remain in a nation where he or she has no stake or recognition. The Igbos would soon move from bondage to the promised land where God has already prepared for them, like the Israelites when they left Egypt.”

Decrying the sufferings and agonies being faced by ordinary Nigerians as a result of corruption and bad governance, Kanu asserted: “It is the watershed in the history of the geographical expression called Nigeria. It is the aftermath of the mistake of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern protectorates by Lord Lugard. Nigeria is doomed, especially since the country is driven by world-acclaimed selfish and corrupt leaders, who do not believe in the wellbeing of the poor masses.”
