ok, thanks

Well you have to wait until your passport is return. If the visa is issued, you can still make it, if the school confirmed that you can still enroll. If the visa is denied, then try again with the new CAS.

He doesn't have a visa yet[, Thanks for the advice quote author=nairacountry post=58013229]

Does he currently posses UK Visa?

If not, let him apply alongside with you, streamline the budget (strictly Flight & Shopping) to accommodate just 50/60% of balance in his account, get all documents necessary for the application from your cousin, you will get the visas stating either of you must accompanied the kid(s) for theirs/his/hers to be VALID.

Then you guys can travel without him on the response that work loads cancelled his vacation......

Hope this helpful? [/quote]

Hi Guys,

Good job on the work here guys!!! I currently reside in the UK and intend to invite my mum over as i just had a baby. Mum is retired with a monthly pension of around 80k, that means she can't sponsor herself. I intend to send my savings bank statement with £4k+ for her application. She has previously visited UK during my graduation a couple of years back

1.) Do we still need to include her bank statement - to show her monthly income (Does this prove ties to home country?)
2.) Any idea how much the ECO will be looking for as maintenance for 2 months stay?
3.) Are the below list of docs good to go? any other docs to add?
- Mum's monthly statement
- Pension letter/docs to show she's retired
- My bank statement
- Invitation letter from myself
- Rental agreement here in UK
- My payslips
- wifey's payslips

Regards

1. Yes, you would still need to include her bank statements. This is part of home ties though it may not be exhaustive enough. Consider including evidence of other family ties she has in Nigeria, e.g. If u have other siblings in Nigeria.
2. I do not know this as you are acting as the sponsor. People that usually quote maintenance costs are applicants sponsoring themselves. I think the ECO may decide your capacity to maintain your mum throughout the duration of her stay from your bank statements. Also consider the sponsorship maintenance form.
3. Those documents are good but not enough...

There is nothing listed as evidence of your relationship with your mum. Let me ask, are you male or female though. You said you had a baby, I was thinking you female. But you included your wife's payslips so I think you are male. Lol.

You also need:
I. Your passport biodata and visa page (or British passport if you are British)
II. Utility bills which is stronger than bank statement for proof of address
III. Perhaps your birth certificate which can link to your mum's passport suggesting she's your mother
IV. Evidence of communication with your mother like emails, chats and calls
V. You could include pictures of you and mum albeit there is a clause that this might not be considered in deciding your application.

**Others can also contribute to your question**

I think with these it should be okay. Utilities, mortgage bills/rental receipts, bio data page as he said.
I think evidence of communication/pictures is not necessary as she's visiting plus it's not her first time

If your mother had visited the UK before as stated, then she has a good immigration record with the UKBA. Just dust up her previous application, use it and update it to reflect her present circumstances and reasons for the visit. Be honest to declare that she will be there for 60 days in the application to help with the your baby.

Hello house, is it appropriate to
1. Fill in the application form that I have stayed with my family for 31years?
2. To include my expired passport details (without any visa in it)?
3. To include any dependant since am not married yet?
4. I intend spending 14days in the UK. But I only stated only 4 tourist places to be seeing. Is this enough? If not, please suggest more places I can add.
5. How much I spend on the average every month

Provided you do not have a criminal records, your overstaying on visit visa or whatever visa will automatically be overrides by your new settlement visa, but it might take a while for you to get a clearance from the Home secretary,I have a friend who went through the same thing,he was cleared in approximately 6 months.

That is not entirely true, nothing like automatic overbidding when immigration law was broken.

1.What sort of visa did you applied for in those 3 occasions?

2.Did you appeal the refusal and lost the case while in the UK?

3.What is your age range now?1

1. I don't think that is needed anywhere in the form.

2. You can if asked in the form

3. Yes if you have someone that depends on you financially

4. That is not an issue

5. Only you can answer that question truthfully.

I applied indefinite leave to remain. Refused and was ask to go back to my dad but he past away few months before home office decision. No appeal. I then put in for reconsideration which was refused again 4 years later.

Then put in with my girl friend refused again because we are not legally married with right of appeal. Which I did but later withdrawn because I was allowed to marry

Applied again as a spouse in the UK but was refused because of overstaying.

Now 25 years old. 6 months short of half of my life in the UK.

1. It's there in the form where it's been asked to state how many years have you live in the above address. So I put 31years with my family. Won't they think I can't afford to rent house since am working?

You made a lot of wrong decisions with those applications and appeals because you are not entitled to any considering your status.

Is your wife working now and earning £18,600 at least and living on her own?

That question is common in many visa and employment application forms, adding that you live there with your family is unnecessary though i don't see that affecting your application

Being trying to check my application status with my GWF Number and the response i'm getting is reference number not recognised.
is there any other reference number used to check the status apart from the GWF no? My conference starts on the 5th and haven't had anything from the UKVI...this delay is becoming something else.

That figure is more than enough for financial requirement even with the unborn baby.

Your biggest huddle now is your immigration record which is not good at all.

If you did not pay for propriety service it takes 12 weeks or longer to get a response from them.

I know you can't go into details about those 3 refused applications and i hope you detailed them and apologized in application.

The worst case scenario is a refusal then you will be given the right to appeal which takes than a year or more if get goes to tribunal.

Only you, 3 of your friends are immigration offenders? Plus including you? Lol. grin Seriously though, just wondering the moral of your little story...Won't be surprised if immigration reforms begin to change the rules with scenarios like this. Please let's keep it positive out here. I'm also aware a spousal settlement visa will override previous visa application refusals, but I didn't think it is AUTOMATIC. Several people have been denied for several reasons, it would be foolhardy to think it is automatic upon marriage. Anyways, what do I know? I'm just a short stay visa hopeful.

Is either you are lying or your friend is because the UK police will never say that, they will personally call the ambulance and make sure you are treated before taking action on your case. I know a made-up story when i see one.

My point is regarding your initial comment that the visa is automatic regardless of his immigration offense.

EEA visa supersedes non-EU member spouse visa application, you don't even pay for it let a lone pay for NHS or the tough financial requirements.

Work permit is far more easier and less requirements compared to spouse visa and the visa is 3 or 5yrs unlike spouse visa which is two and half years with endless documents to submit.

The reference number is not recognized until a decision is made. Keep trying. I think most applications submitted about the time you did yours are delayed. I've read about two others with similar delays on this thread, mine inclusive - although I got a mail apologizing for the delay.
