Lesson I learnt today on domaining.

I did outbound for all my domain, and one was picked by the guy and we got straight to pricing, frankly I would have sold the domain to him for any amount but he offered me $70 and I accept the price, but he told me thereafter that he did some research on the domain and find out it was own by a Nigerian and I said am a Nigerian, he now said he cannot go ahead with the deal because he had many issues from Nigeria domainer.. That is how I lost a deal have been on since 2 days ago..

Your job is to always make sure you remove any obstacle. Most times I offer to transfer the domain name first before receiving payment. So in a situation like this, you would said:" hello, I understand your worries. But this what I am gonna do. I will transfer the domain name to you and after you get it, you pay me"

Do your research well and make sure he is a reputable person.

This how I have been selling most of my domains without giving commissions. Also tell them to wire the funds for maximum benefits in exchange rates cos Aboki is higher than bank, paypal and payoneer.

Forget all these appraisal value, they are as useless as k in knife, list your domain on different platform, or you search for an end user for your domain.

It still amazes me that quite a large number of Nigerians are fully online with different devices phones and computers but yet not making money from it. Many things have changed and one of the easiest way to make money now is online. Quote me anywhere.

Now you may be asking" what is a domain name and how can I make money from it"?

In one word a domain name is an online real estate. If you want to get a website for personal or business use, what you need first is a domain name. Just like if you want to to build a house, no matter your plans and design, you need a land first.
In other words, without a domain name there will be no website. Without a domain name there will be nothing like e-mail address. "Now how do I make money from it"? The truth is that most good domain names have been taken. ... They have all gone. For example all 3letter domains names has been taken. You can form it and confirm. The only avenue to target is expired domain names. And what is expired domain name again? These are domains that the original owners fail to renew. every domain has an expiry date. The maximum you can register a domain is 10 yr which the minimum is just 1 yr. Now if the original owner fail to renew it after the year duration, some grace period will be given after the domain will be dropped and become available for anyone to re- register and it's legal.

Now this is quite easy and anybody with the right information and tools can do it and have a wonderful result. This is from my personal experience and not a hear say. Now this is richly profitable but just like any other business it has some basic strategies and ways to do it in order to get decent result.

Don't take appraisal seriously, it's just a software generated opinion. check out more on the keyword popularity and competition. the CPC is quite low.

That is quite impressive I must say, but before parking can you shed more light on the SG the domain has? Because if the search is low, am afraid you will hardly make any money.. ... but why can't you develop it as a blog.

If am not mistaken, pageview does not mean a click, you will only be paid when a click is made.

It is not all domains are for parking or for adsense and they can do well with development and provided you have strategies on what you want to do with the name.
Yes! The adsense was not doing fine because the CPC is very poor.

Though the blog was not really set up in order to make money with adsense. I had plan to use the name as a selling point for ccTLD names but I do not have enough experience to make it a selling market. So I have to sell it as a domain name for someone who can develop it as a selling market for that particular niche; country code marketplace.

The buyer is even a domainer and he is trying to sell it. As it is, the worth is about $1000 - $1500. I sold it and happy with the price because I could use the money for other thing and more so my contents are still there for me and I will soon customize the blog with other name and sell again. That is my next plan for the blog. There are many ways into domaining and blogging.

I know domainers will like to sell their ccTLDs and it could have been a very good business strategy but the challenge is it would cost me about $4000 to make it a marketplace for selling such niche domains.
