Since you believe you know-the recitation-then it is best if you quote the verses for us? You know we do not belong to the Catholic Church, I thank the Lord for that-or else we would be lost sheep, we don't know the secrets the Church holds-so let us in the secret society, and tells us-where these bible verses are-we must pray to Mary? After 2000 + years of laying the Christian foundation through the apostolic mandate Christ gave Peter and which the early church fathers transferred down to the Catholic clergy through the papacy ,including making the bible available to the whole world ,it is easy for overfed grandchildren in the Christian faith to come around to launch ignorant attacks on their fore parent - the Catholic church. These ignorant lots many of who can't survive a 100 years of hades after the death of their founders, always found it hilarious throwing blasphemous hauls at the very important foundation of the Christian redemption- the virgin Mary. These folks who question the special intervention role and divinity of Mary the mother of Jesus, run to their pastors/ daddy GOs to intercede for them before God. Mary Mother and these GOs who is more divine? Ladies and gentlemen let us take a journey through the Bible where the Catholic simply adopted Mary's acceptance speech to work with God to save humanity from the peril of the adamic sin. |

After the Annunciation ei the message of God's willing to manifest in flesh through birth to Mary by Angel Gabriel , the Holy Mother accepted this huge opportunity to redeem humanity by say: " behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy world...." Lk 1:38 When Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth in Lk1:40-43, her divine presence - holy spirit-was felt even by the baby in Elizabeth's womb who said: " whence is it to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" ,to which Mary replied thus: My soul magnify the Lord,......for he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. Don't we just love the fact, we can find everything we need to know about almost anything-concerning religion, of course you are expecting me to say the Hail Mary prayer-but deep down I don't like to say anything that is unbiblical, I feel I am robbing God-if I am praying to someone other than He. So instead I have found three unbiblical passages to the Hail Mary, the text to the Hail Mary prayer incorporates two bible passages: Hail full of grace, The Lord is with thee" {Luke 1:28} And he came to her and said: O greetings favoured one-the Lord is with thee. {Luke 1:42} And she came with a loud cry' Blessed are you among women, and Blessed is the fruit of your womb. The first passage is from the angel Gabriel's greetings to Mary when he came to inform her that she had been chosen to bear the Messiah. The second is her cousin Elizabeth greetings to Mary when Mary came to visit her, who was also pregnant with John the Baptise. The third part of the "Hail Mary prayer" is not from the bible, and is in fact a direct contradiction to scriptural truth. Holy Mary' Mother of God pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death "Amen" The last part of the Hail Mary prayer has 3 unbiblical parts to it. First is not-and never was "Holy" Mary she was a human being who was born, as all humans are, with a sin nature, and she recognised that she needed a saviour, in fact the very passage used in Hail Mary, known as Mary's Magnificat {Luke 1:46-55} Contains the declaration, my spirit rejoices in God my savour, a clear indication that she understood her need for a saviour from sin. The bible never say's that Mary was anyone but a ordinary woman who God chose to use in a extraordinary way, yes Mary was a righteous woman and favoured {grace} by God {Luke 1:27-28} At the same time Mary was a sinful human being, who needed Jesus Christ as her savour, just like anybody else.{Ecclesiastes 7:20, Romans 3:23, 6:23, 1 john 1:8} The second unbiblical part of the Hail Mary is addressing Mary as the Mother of God, Mary was the human Mother of the human Jesus Christ, who was indeed God incarnate, but she was not the "Mother of God" neither is she the "Queen of Heaven" another title given to her by the Catholic Church which has no bases in scripture. God doesn't have a Mother, Nor does He have a Queen, He is a eternal infinite being-uncreated and unborn, self sufficient and self-sustaining. The third unbiblical statement is the Hail Mary is the plead for her to "pray for us sinners" Here we see the unbiblical practice of praying to Mary to intercede for God for us, first we do not need another intercessor with God. Christ is the only intercessor we need, Through Jesus and Him alone, we have direct access to the Father, Christ alone medicates and intercedes between God and man. For there is One God and One mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus {1 Timothy 2:5} Praying to anyone other than God alone is anti-biblical. Praying to Mary is petitioning for her to pray for us is against the scriptures. Prayer is an act of worship. When we pray to God, we are admitting that we need His help. Directing our prayers to anyone other then God is robbing God of the glory that He is alone, something God hates and He will not tolerate {Isaiah 42:8} While Mary was certainly a Godly young woman, greatly Blessed in that she was chosen to bear the savour of the world, she was not in anyway divine, nor was she sinless, nor is she to be worshipped , revered, venerated, or prayed too. It isn't biblical about Mary-so lets try and keep the bible simple-and obey it with full strength. It wasn't the Catholic Church that made the bible visible to the hole world-matter of fact the church hid the bible-and it was men and women, the Church had murdered, men and women died in faith because of their courage they had for Christ. The Catholic Church had removed William Tyndale head and burnt him to the stake-because he himself had changed the bible from the Latin language, to the English language.
