You need a credit or debit card, the payment will be taken before you even get passed to an adviser.

Please what relationship do you mean, it it my fathers?
Which of the options would you advise me to use, my father or friend?

I will advise you use your father's support as against your friend.
Having a link over there poses more threat to your application, you need to show more ties to Nigeria and less ties to the Uk since you previously schooled there.

Use your dad's CAC documents and account statement to support your application and it will be approved God willing.

Just want to know, I wasn't given right to appeal. Is there any other way I can make my case. Cos settling in to consider things. I provided the documents they said I didn't and explained the things they said I didn't( they said I didn't explain not that they are not satisfied). The money i had in my account was taking as how much i had for the trip when i clearly filled in 2 separate answer.
I was at work initially by getting home i settles to consider my application again and the refusal and basically i attempted to answer all the question that was in the refusal. If they had said i didnt give the right answer or dont understand i ll understand. They just claimed i did not.
It is as if they didn't go thru documents after 7wks. What an ECO dt attended to me. It was as if I just wasted money cos it wasn't properly considered based on the letter.
if you have not been given a right to appeal, then you need to re apply but try and address all the points raised, I am sure they went through the application.
All the best, please give it some time before you re apply so you know you have a water tight application.

Hi,thanks very much for this site! Very helpful. Can anyone help pls?I travelled to the UK 2008,i overstayed my 6month UK visa .I spent 8years in the UK without paper..I came back to Niger to do a fresh application for 6month...Bt in 2008 wen entering the UK I thumprinted and did a finger print respectively... My question is I head another new passport now with same name on it..pls if I apply now will UKBA issue me a visa?hope I wouldn't have any problems cos of my past?

New or Old passport, your history and details is well saved with UKVI, so i will advise you get a good immigration lawyer for a proper advice before you apply or else you will just dash them free visa fees as your application will likely be denied.

Good day all, I just joined this platform and this is my first post.Firstly let me thank you all for the very information and helpful posts I have read so far. Thanks for sharing.

Question 1, Which visa should I apply for? I will be travelling to the US next month with Virgin Atlantic. I will stop over at Heathrow for 3 hours when going and 15 hours when returning back. I have made all checks and certain that I do not need a transit visa. Now I would like to apply for a UK visa 6 months Standard Visitor or 48 hour transit visa to enable me stop in London for a few days instead of waiting at the Airport for 15 hours (My ticket is amendable).

Question 2 Am I eligible to use the Priority Visa Service (since my travel date is the 15th of August)? My last UK visa was a 2 year family visitor visa in 2012 which was denied initially and later granted when I appealed the decision. I saw the below information on the TLS website.
My visit visa was approved in 2days (used priority service) even after 2 visa refusals in the past. so you are good to go with the priority visa service

Customers who fall into the following categories are advised not use the Priority Visa Service :You should be aware that you may experience extended processing times if any of the following factors apply, if you have:

• previously been refused a visa for the UK, and/or;

Please advise accordingly. Thank you.

Explain in your application reason why it was backdated and show evidence.

And you think the explanation will be tenable? that backdating of a documents without another legal documents to back it up is criminal on it's own and if care is not taken it will earn her a ban.explanation is not enough in this matter expect there is a legal documents to it

Hi guys! I applied for UK visa in 2013, as housewife, was refused visa because I was not working; fortunately for me, i got a FG job that same year. The problem now is, my appointment was back dated to 2011,and now i have been invited by my Bro inlaw for a surprise birthday party for his wife. I know i will need to submit my documents from office, hope there won't be any trouble as per me getting the visa?

If you do not have a legal documents to back up that backdating of documents do not try it,it is criminal and will earn you a ling term ban or even blacklist......You do not need to tender your appointment letter, just go there with introduction letter from your organization and your leave letter, some things are better dealt with with tact and wisdom

Then I take it that you do not know that it is the norm of Civil Service in Nigeria to back date document and it is totally legal even in business.
Have you not heard of pay rises that were decided in July of 2017 for year 2016 and letter was issued in July but stated pay rise takes effect from January 2017.
All you need to is get a letter from your office explaining reason for back dating if it has not been explained in the original letter. Also if you were paid for the back dated years please show evidence in payslip and bank statement.

Have it at the back of your mind that you are dealing with people from different clime, for the fact we do it here does not make it legal except there is another court documents to back it up,not even when she has stated that she had no job at that period only to turn up again and said she had a job as at the time she claimed not to have had one......You should also note that the High commission is NOT WILLING TO ISSUE VISAS TO ANYONE and they will look for perfect excuses like this one to deny her and even ban her or blacklist here for forgery and it will take a competent law court judgement to free her from such.she is not any under obligation to include her appointment since there is an inconsistencies in it,her lettterof introduction and leave letter is enough for her application

Nooooo, this is damn too risky. Backdating pay increment start is not same as backdating employment start. They are just toooo different. Your explanation is similar to someone claiming arrears or pension owed them for long, that can be backdated to when they were originally due.

It's risky here for employment start. What makes sense to a Nigerian might not utterly make sense to an ECO.

She needs letter from her office to explain the reason why her employment was backdated and that she only resumed on the day she did and was paid the entitlement for the period she was waiting for the letter due to administrative issues or internal organizational restructuring.

Hello everyone, good job you are doing here. God bless you all.
1. I want to apply for my mum in law to visit us in uk, however the only assest she has in Nigeria is an hotel which is close for now for renovation( she has letter of registration, c of o etc), can we include that in the application and state that's its closed for now.

2. Is it necessary to get letter from the landlord because we can't assess him and all we plan to do is to add bills and d tenancy agreement to proof accomodation . Since she is staying for 2 weeks

Lastly, do I need to get letter from my employer because we plan to do full sponsorship but we will state dt she will provide her transportation. I will include my pay slips, bank statement and work I'd.

I will appreciate if I get enough responses quickly cos we plan to apply this week.

Thanks

Good morning Advisory, my leave is ending today and have not yet from tls concerning decision made although their website said decided updated 25th July, that's this last Tuesday. After exactly 7weeks,, my question is hope they won't say my leave is almost over? Is it possible for visa to be still granted even at that because my initial plan was to use just 7days out of the leave starting 5th to 12th July which has long passed. This was as their fault because dey even sent an apology letter saying they sorry for the inconvenience on 27june after submitted 6thjune that dey can't decide within the 15working day, pls bro hope leave ending will not be treat to granting the visa because I submitted more than a month before my leave is to start,,, Thank

In my opinion...
1. Yes, you can include the hotel. It does not matter whether closed or in operation. It is a landed property. What about people that have only virgin lands as ties? Your case is even land with a structure.

2. Do you pay council tax? Council tax and bills should suffice.

3. You can use payslip, bank statements and letter of employment. You do not need to go ask your employer to do you a letter, simply fetch your contract letter from when you were hired.

1, You do not need to tell in your letter that the place is close for renovations, the standard is you provide verifiable documentation and once that requirements is met you are good to go,except she is trying to use the business statement of account in her application which will indicate insufficient inflow of cash into the accounts

2, Your bill and Tenancy agreement is all you need, you do not need any letter of authorisation from your landlord, your monthly rent is the authority you have over property while still in occupation by you.

3, You do not need letter from your employer to host anyone,as at the last check your immigrational status evidence,Evidence of employment which is in form of payslip and your bank or card statements is the basic requirements.

Applying for a visa does not mean one have to tell all the stories of one's life as I have read on this forum where people advises applicants to tell the history of their lives to ECO, People are entitled to their private life most especially when it has no direct or remote bearing about the issue at hand

Hello house, being following this thread for over a month now but can hardly find stuff that relates to me, its like everyone here is a student or an intending visitor, very few people migrating.
I'm an Allied Health Professional, my profession is in the shortage occupation list (radiography) currently working on my HCPC registration, job seeking and finally migrating vier Tier 2, hopefully before December. I've read a lot about the Tier 2 visa and requirements on several websites also seen many vacancies online. But I just want to hear from those who have gone through this process before, I want to know their challenges and how they overcame them and what working and living in the UK is really like, don't want to run from frying pan to fire

please can someone direct me to a TIER 2 thread or any similar thread where I can get the sort of info I need? Thanks.

Okay thank you.
I thought as much too as I don't want them to think I am running away. I have the following documents to back up use of my dads account;

CAC documents which also shows me as a director in his company
Company Bank statement
Reference Letter from bank stating him as signatory to account
Letter headed sponsorship letter
Evidence to show we are related

I have my other supporting documents
I really pray this goes well.

Depends on your pocket size and how desperate you are... see attached image for pricing for a 6 month general visitor visa. However ignore the selected 'standard'. This period (visa season), you are most likely not gonna get your visa in 15 working days if you chose standard.
