I just realized that I feel this nervousness in me whenever the thought of getting married someday sets in. Having read through different stories about couples:both the happily married and those facing one or two challenges (knowing fully well that these people were once happy and believed that they were mean't for each other). Please I'm still at my early 20's. Will such feeling be outgrown someday 12 Likes

That my major problem, Am commitment phobic The thought of being in a lifelong relationship scared the hell out of me . Just decided to stay put off relationships, till I can work on my commitment issues. Cos I rarely stay long in relationships sef.Lol nairalanders and their funny advices, gone tru many comments about my post. It's funny many Nigerians find it difficult to understand that both women can be commitment phobic, Of I wanna fall in love, get married and have kids,But am so scared of waking up one day, and loathing the man I married. I see a guy I like, we start dating, before I know it, it's just start fizzling out, and am gone without giving the guy a reasonable explanations.Am ok being single for now till I understand my issues. Its a thought i really can't wait seeing turning reality.. God, i really can't wait to become a husband and a father. I really can't wait to see my daughter. God, momma ain't supporting child outside wedlock. I ain't speaking marriage(the event) here buh the after(the family life). With the divorce rate these days. Yes I do. With the kind of comments from men on NL, yes I do. I saw a post where NL men were insinuating that Nigerian women don't deserve to be cared for and pampered, it made me feel sorry for women who would thank God that they had found "husbands" in these type of men. Then, how many men really know God. Most men just go to church and some claim to be workers but don't live like Christians should. Marriage is a beautiful thing. Just that people are scared they might not get that dream husband/wife/family they've always wanted. Of Cuz anyone in his/her right mind will feel nervous about getting married! It is a union only separated by death (or signed paper as the case may be). The only thing that makes the nervous is having to listen to my wife scream in the labor room. Bleep no! I can't stand that.
